drered: Hey Guys,
I'm looking at purchasing a 2017 Grand i10 Hyundai with a Manual Transmission to give out for use on the uber/taxify platform. Are partner drivers particular about the transmission considering you'd spend long hours driving and will there be sny issues registering with uber/taxify? It depend on individual drivers, some are comfortable with manual. Like me, there is no transmission I can't work with, stick-shift or automatic. But why are u chosen stick-shift sir? And why that choice of car, since you are not the one driving it, have u check the maintenance issues too. Remember Hyundai have very low secondhand value |

jtabdulrahman: Hello Stakeholders in Taxify and Uber, We felt it would be a good idea if we have a forum where we can collectively address issues that affect us all in Taxify and Uber and other up coming taxi apps. Together we can effect positive change in the system as was evidenced last year. Now we need to work together as we are all in to make good money as the brand grows. Some of us are employees and do this part time while majority are in full time and do face challenges either from app, riders, law enforcement agencies, fuel prices, fraudulent riders and drivers. If we really need positive change in this time of several challenges in the country, then we have to seek for it. A WhatsApp group link is below where we can click to join in so we can effectively help ourselves.
https:///79M5NIx9IRlKRHo1CdB4Mf
You may not need to introduce yourself when you are in. We want to challenge some status quo so we get value for our cars, fuel and energy while on these platforms. Nothing is freely gotten in this country. Thank you Please add me, 07066210226 |

inspire22great: According to him when we spoke on the phone briefly he said the car is a Tokunbo Toyota Corolla 2005 The current price of 05 in market is tuned to #1.8m. For hire purchase if u are lucky u can get from 2.5 but its rare, but I think #2.8 is not totally bad to pay in 22 to 24months |

izzou: Partners aren't finding it funny too. A good driver is like diamond... Hard to find
if you can get a good driver, the better Some partners can be funny too sha, since November have been seeing one particular driver posting on Jiji that he needs driver. I was wondering why he is always looking for driver for same big daddy. I placed a call to find out myself, his approach alone can make you loose interest on e-hailing business. I saw his post again yesterday with same car. What could be his problem, does it mean he has not seen a diamond driver all this while too |

itguy1: Uber pay the person that register on there platform based on my understanding sha, you can make over 100k monthly if you give it out on rental depending on the type of car and agreement between you and the driver. Majorly common on the road is Toyota corolla but you can use matrix, Pontiac vibe, Honda civic. Senior members can advice you more Its monthly I meant |

TheCar:

Do not encourage her to jump ship immediately.
A steady pay-check every month no be moin moin.
Also she need to test the waters before jumping ship.
1. She need to test how "manageable" is her car for the day-to-day operation. She claimed to be a banker, so I think the vehicle need to be stress test before venturing out. Maybe she rent out the car for like 3-5 months to see if it breakdown or not. Bankers only drive early in the morning and late at night, so during the day their cars are not working. The car need some serious test run on Uber/Bolt operation.
2. Driving for a living isn't easy. The last time I was stucked behind the wheels for 9 hours commuting from Lagos to Ibadan was the day I truly respect EVERY PERSON DRIVING FOR A LIVING. Men, I didn't drive my car for next 5 days after the journey. Now imagine doing that on a daily basis.
3. She is leaving a "SANE" environment for "UNSANE" environment. Pardon my French. LASTMA, VIO, AIRPORT DRIVERS, DANFO DRIVERS do not harass her in her banking hall but would do when she start.
I would recommend, you guide her before she jump the ship.
A child doesn't just start running, a child need to crawl, take the first baby step, walk, before thinking about running.
Well Done to Everyone.
Back to my Siddon Look "On The Other Side of Fence" Assuming its a guy that's involved, I can encourage him but I don't know of ladies. Yes its a steady pay as per bank job, but bank job can be frustrating especially when u are just contract staff. And you can be there for years without achieving much, no CV upgrade, no time for yourself, no encouragement from work. It is sometimes discouraging work in banking sector especially the junior staff. Bank teller, sorting, OND marketers. No fulfilling at all |

Rollitout: Is that First Bank that have refused to promote you ? It depend on whatever certificate she is using to work there and the condition of the work. Maybe she is contract staff through in-sourcing. They hardly promote there staff generally in banking sector. But like someone said, its all about fulfilment not only money. I will also advise her to start with weekends to see if she can possibly cope |
