4. Learning that with discipline and consistency we are unstoppable, and those stuffs are really hard.

5. Knowing that God still answers prayers.

Is this man brain still intacthuh They killed your wife in your presence and you want them to be freed, right?!

Just because they are 17 to 21 years and illiterate?!
Your wife soul must be cursing wherever she is.
Crazy to think.

Probably trying to sound diplomatic, to avoid follow up visit from the “guys”.
RomanceRe: The Bride Refused To Smile On Her Wedding Day For Over 20 Minutes by ItisWell22(f): 8:22am On Apr 09, 2025
It’s a tradition in a part of Rivers or Bayelsa state, where the bride refuses to smile until she’s impressed by the money showered on her by the groom and his men; if I’m not mistaken.

Juliearth:
The bride is expected to put up this show. Her groom and his friends are to shower her with money and this continues until she smiles.

There are tricks to getting nice pictures with your phone. Some among them include: a clean lens and knowing your angles.
A pose that worked for Mr A may not work for you. That’s why you notice some people’s pictures usually have a particular style or pose - they’ve discovered the one that favours them. And some are fortunate that whichever or whatever pose works perfectly.

And hope you aren’t comparing yourself to instagram standards?
TravelRe: ₦500K In Nigeria Vs £2,000 In London — Which Would You Choose by ItisWell22(f): 11:49pm On Apr 06, 2025
fullclub:
No in abroad you pay for these amenities... Water, light, car road tax, car insurance. Government don't provide it for you free
That said.

What about a breakdown like.
A quarter bag of rice 25k to 30k
Two paint of beans =20k
Gari one paint = 3k
Yam = 10k
Oil, magi, salt =10k
Transport to work = 30k in a month.
Data = 20k
Budget probably 200k max to cover this which include power

You get 300k..
House rent 400k per year. Or 34k per month.
You could still get savings of 250k
Data 20k, for individuals who don’t work with data.

Some people on band A spend about 100k a month for power now.

Berankis:
I used to say this too until I saw a recording of how these terrorists attack. It's crazy guy! It's overwhelming. They strike with heavy assault artilleries, shooting sporadically in different directions. I now realized it's impossible to face them without equal fire power. These are the same weapons they sometimes use to over power even military camps.
The people don't stand a chance except they have exceptionally intelligent plans to extirpate them, like ambush, Arial counter-attack, setting up explosives for them etc. But the people lack these experiences.
The actual reality of what’s going on in Nigeria is not only saddening, but weakening.

Pesin go just tire.

It’s so sad…

Honestey:
It's time to stop these boring speeches of vow and ordering hunt own terrorists who have now seen killing people as easy as killing rats. FG should start using advanced technology to deal with security situation in the country. Stop security votes to those states and use the money for better security equipments and ensure terrorist caught is ended once and for all.
Equipments that will still end up in the hands of the terrorists?
FamilyRe: We Spent Almost N500,000 At Mortuary": Man Whose Wife Died During Labour by ItisWell22(f): 6:35am On Apr 06, 2025
Anyway, it’s a pity such a young woman and her baby had to go just like that.

May their souls find rest.

TONYE001:
I get, I get, I get.
But even at that, N500,000.00 for an obstetric emergency....or any emergency sef...is unheard of. For real.

So, I strongly doubt that huge sum was requested for. If it's true, then it's not common. But importantly, we should hear the hospital's side of the story.
FamilyRe: We Spent Almost N500,000 At Mortuary": Man Whose Wife Died During Labour by ItisWell22(f): 12:24am On Apr 06, 2025
TONYE001:
This is what happens when we are greedy and self-centred. We betray the trust of a benevolent and kind mind not minding how this evil action may impact future clients that may be in need of this benevolence. In the face of life and death, we make all sorts of promises and when things are settled, we show our true, evil selves.

And, of course, once a patient cries to the social media, the doctor, nurse, or hospital is declared guilty without a fair hearing.

And, I still dey talk am, N500,000 deposit for an obstetric emergency case? Or for any emergency sef....? HIGHLY UNLIKELY!
Your write up actually says it all.

But then, 500k is more likely than unlikely for a private facility given our present economic reality. Before now, how much was emergency CS?

Then most people also forget or are neglecting the state in which the woman presented to the private hospital. She most likely was in a critical condition.

And for businesses to avoid long stories, sometimes such bills are mentioned so critical cases without funds for immediate payment can just move to government facilities.

May her soul rest easy.

FGGC!

Which of the tales would one recount, and which can be left out?

But as you mentioned, it taught us time management even in the absence of a clock.

The part of begging the house prefect to let you pick your belt or socks. 😂
At some point, you just assemble all you would need close to a window. From the bathroom to the window, where you start from application of Vaseline to wearing the pant and bra, till being fully dressed.

The days you’re late, you know you’ve missed your meal. Some days you’re quite early, yet miss your meal. That taught some of us to let go of the meals, as it was more frustrating to be on the long queue only to be told the meal couldn’t get to everyone.

And when we became the most seniors, it was waking up late and being eventually chased about by the teachers themselves to leave the hostel, sometimes after receiving some strokes of the cane by the gate where the obesed senior boarding house mistress must have taken her seat.

It taught us to be tough despite being so innocent.
It was really tough in there.

The days of water scarcity that usually coincided with the hottest times of the year (like sey na juju)? 😩😪
You manage to get, a senior could take it away from you, or your fellow juniors or not so senior, tap it.

Too many tales… 🥱
