Hello guys, firstly I just want to say thank you all for these informations, I have been a ghost reader for some time now, but I can't afford to get rejected again I need help, I just got rejected by the Canadian embassy for their so called financial reasons my school said I should have a minimum of 29000cad I provided 35000cad, but still got rejected ( I think it's village people) because of their so called insufficient funds. Well anyway, I have decided to try out US, maybe by God's grace I will go this year ( I was supposed to resume this September i.e Canada).

Note: My first attempt; undergraduate entry level freshman

So I will like, if anyone can put me through, u can add me to the group i.e August applicants US of course
Here is my Whatsapp number +2349133296989

Hello fam.

I've been following this thread for a while. I applied for a Canadian student visa it's still under processing ( yeah it's that feeling). I'm hoping for the best but I'm looking a applying to a university in the states. Already began my due diligence and damn but yeah I noticed that the tuition fees were a little bit on the teeth clenching side and little to no scholarship available for undergraduates

Yeah so I wouldn't mind being added to a group or if any vital info is thrown my way and lest I forget " I'm literally a student in the greatest university of Nigeria, Nsk.

PS: I just stated that so I can also inspire other Aluta warriors to leave in den in one piece.

They're lots of schools that offer scholarships for undergraduates hmu on WhatsApp so you could be added to an undergrad group +2348024686212

Wow! I was expecting to see a lot of transcripts posted today but.....well.
Let me post mine.

In Jan,2022, I joined this platform because I had a challenge which I sought for help on this platform.
I had applied for B1/B2 visa renewal for my family and I since May, 2021. While awaiting the interview which was scheduled for May 2022, my son got admission for a Bachelor's degree in the US. We tried to switch his visa category to F1 but we were informed by the embassy that our previously booked appointment may be cancelled automatically, if we initiated the switch. The advice was to wait for our interview in May, but he wouldn't show up for the interview. Afterwards, we could now switch his visa and reschedule him.
Fastforward to May, we received messages fastforwarding our appointment 3days earlier.
We attended the interview and got our B1/B2 visas approved with a few questions asking when last we travelled, how long we stayed, why one person was missing from the group appointment, if we had changed jobs in the last 2years.....
This was on May 23rd.
May 25th we tried to reschedule my son's appointment after re-filling his DS160 with his old MRV fee but didn't pick a date in May 2023 until the 3rd of June,(last week) just after his account was frozen for 72hours.
That same Friday,3rd of June, we decided to apply for Emergency appointment as his earlier start date is July, 24th with the necessary documents. 5mins later, we received a mail denying the emergency due to shortage of staff in Lagos consulate.
My son was so downcast and discouraged, pleading we switched to Abuja consulate. I just told him there was still time and that he should calm down. We prayed and continued trusting God for an appropriate date to crop up while he joined appointment dates groups for both Lagos and Abuja. Note, we had only one reschedule lifeline left.
On Tuesday, the 7th of June, after trying to check the portal for dates for the Lagos group, someone dropped the alert of opened spaces on the whatsapp group. Instantly, he logged on and secured today's date- the 10th! Several slots kept dropping- over 100 openings.
That was a miracle as he had seen June 10th when he applied for Emergency but he was denied. Like joke, that date eventually jumped back at him. Phew! oro po! grin grin.
Out of the applicants today, he was singled out with a few ppl and taken to a room to meet an elderly VO. He sat down to chat with the VO and his assistant.
Anyway, bottom line-
VISA APPROVED!!!
Transcript uploading soon though it probably will not apply to alot of people as this is for a Bachelors degree program and applicant has US travel history.
Nothing is impossible if only you can believe! From the switch to F1 visa to search for dates to denial of emergency appointment to eventually getting a favourable date and ultimately, visa approval!
God wey do am for us go do yours too by His grace. grin

Please could you share his transcript. I am also an undergraduate student

This is quite a good transcript, if I do say so.
An addition.

You'll have to properly demonstrate that your mum is very financially buoyant since you want to go to medical school after your undergrad, cos medical school in the US is mad expensive. And you'll also have concrete plan's for when you're done with medical school in order to justify the huge investment.

But all in all, you're a traditional student, so hopefully, you won't have too much problems.

Cheers.

Okay thank you so much so I’ll try and make more convincing points and repost the transcript here for evaluation.
Do you have any other questions i may be asked and any idea how much my previous denials would affect me?

I’m going to pursue my Bachelors degree in nursing
RN is my major

Graduated from high school 2016
But I did economics in university and I can’t tell the VO I studied economics….

What should I say when asked by VO in my interview what I have been doing ever since

Okay in this case you are simply choosing to restart. You have to explain to the VO why you would like to restart tho. It is not advisable to hide the fact you attended university here cus if he finds that out it puts you at a higher risk of getting denied

I want to apply for visa appointments
And my school is resuming 24 January
Will I get an emergency date before my resumption

And I have graduated from High school 2016
Please how do I answer If asked what I have been doing ever since till now …
I don’t know what to tell them
Going in for bachelor in Registrered nursing
Undergraduate course

Please I need answers
New in this thread and I hope I share my success interview Amen

You just simply need to tell them exactly what you have been doing since then if you’ve been learning something tell them that. Tell them why you couldn’t go to school since then too maybe if it was due to financial problems or family issues you mention that too. Just make sure not to tell them you’ve been doing nothing
