You didn’t know you were rich because you were just too young to notice anything. All you would have wanted was your video games and Cartoon Network.
He knew don't mind him. Dude's dad had a "brand" new Honda and had a driver but he did know they was richhuh

The modular refineries will start work after the removal of the subsidy?

Isn't this the same thing this government did when they banned importation of rice? Any sensible human being would first make sure that local production is enough for consumption before banning the importation, but they banned it and right now, rice is so expensive.

They want to do same with fuel. They promised 1 refinery per year, but all we've been getting are excuses. What prevents them from making sure the refineries we have are working at maximum capacity for local refinement, and then building more refineries before removing subsidy? The modular refineries you're talking about, why aren't they operational and why aren't there more?
This government is a bunch of thieves, and they're doing everything possible to make life miserable for people
Exactly. We all know subsidy must go. Heck, na them dey against am that time. But why now when things are so difficult for the citizenry? How much is minimum wage? How will someone collecting 30k pay for 340 naira per litre price? 30k sef na only federal government workers and very few states? How many other states are implementing 30k minimum wage? These are the issues

The reason why people get mouth for GEJ time was because oil prices were at an all time high and that blinded a lot of people to the damage that subsides could do.

All they saw was oil is above 100 dollars a barrel, why can't we afford subsides? Meanwhile people like Noi and sls who were actually running the economy could see the damage, but people won't listen

Buhari has had oil prices consistently below 86 dollars a barrel and as low as 24 dollars a barrel at some points since he took power..so even though NLC may make some noise they know that this isn't the high revenue days of the GEJ adminand they know that there is some truth when the government says they cannot adequately fund subsides
He can increase it to 2000 naira per litre and loot as much as he and others can. We no go die. The highest that will happen is we join other comrades abroad and breathe a breath of fresh air

Bag of rice was like 8k, now e be like e don reach 40k. Nigerians took it. The only thing Nigerians couldn't stomach was GEJ. At the end of the day, the subsidy has to go.

My own is that it should have gone in 2012. By now, we would have been long since over the worst...plus back in 2012, government would have had far more money for palliatives for the first 2-3 years.

I leave with this quote on why keeping the subsidy is bad.

sauce; Fuel subsides in Nigeria: they are bad for the economy but the lifeblood of politicans. Originally published in the Conversation on November 4 2021

Summary

Nigeria, Africa’s biggest oil producer, has come under fire from the International Monetary Fund as well as World Bank for the heavy financial burden it carries in providing subsidies for fuel and kerosene. The criticism is rooted in the belief that the money could be better spent on other essential services, such as healthcare and education. I am not a supporter of APC or PDP. I am a supporter of fuel subsidy removal and have been for 11 years.

Critical comments are welcome, but not abuse, and not rhetorical questions. And if you are angry with your governments, take it up with them. I have no link to government at all.
50 years after subsidy is removed, things won't still change. The money from subsidy removal will still be looted. What then?

They expelled you because you are not the sorting type or the type that gives money or sleep with lecturers.

I observed something in the university. There are students that copy each other and read from books inside the exam hall and the invigilator/lecturer looks away.

One day, I said, let me try it. Unknown to me, these people have PAID THE LECTURER before the exams in other to allow them to indulge in malpractice.

Nawa, I got caught. Only one diagram on a piece of paper, my paper was cancelled. Anyway God saved me. The HOD was my man. I was allowed to rewrite the following year and got only an E for a paper I should get an A or B. That was my only carryover in 5 years.

Lesson: Don't do things because you see others doing it. So many waters pass under the bridge.
See what you're saying abeg. They expelled her because she cheated. Stop painting a different picture

Agriculture is far far more than that.

There is also research into improving crop yields, making crops grow on barren land, soil improvement, fighting crop pests, and so on

Also, there is the animal science arm of it...improving animal yields, including meat , eggs, and dairy products...then there is leather and suchlike.

Many of the architects of the Green Revolution were agriculturalists. They are the reason why many of you can eat better than yer ancestors did.

Yes

The president of the FRN is in charge on the APC.

Anything GMB says in the APC, no Governor can go against it, even the Governors combine.

You should have understand how powerful a president is after seeing what happened between GEJ and some governors like Amechi, kwankwaso etc

See the way GEJ outmuscle everybody in the APC and made sure he got the presidential ticket. The likes of Atiku were sent packing.
Never underestimate how powerful a Nigerian president is.
LoL. Let Buhari veto direct primaries bill, then you'd know he's not the all in all in APC
