They were contacted the day before yesterday for their AOL. For such a juicy position, someone with no connection whatsoever was offered appointment. There could be hope this recruitment might be based on merit, cheer up guys. The end might be near.

Hello fellas, could it be that the non passage of the 2018 Budget is affecting this recruitment? A couple of weeks ago the Senate committee on Petroleum Upstream questioned the top management of DPR on how the new recruits will be remunerated since the amount appropriated for is the same as that of last year (N34billion) and the Department told them they will augment with the leftover of last year's Budget to cater for us. Therefore, I think one of the major obstacles slowing our possible resumption is the Budget. Until the Budget is signed by Mr. President, my gut feeling is that we've got to be very patient.

The list is with FCC now but the joint plenary has not been held yet.

Yes, the second batch is coming immediately after the first batch resume. But it may reach the end of the year before completion. As they have to conduct another test and interview. That's what I know so far.

As for the "when" question, my source who is a top top shot in dpr said we'd be contacted before the end of the year.

Nigerian Government and vague statements... Who knows whether they'll conduct a fresh recruitment or just 'wait list' some successful candidates from those interviewed last month or simply carry out in-house or 'long legs/connection recruitment for the other 400.

One can only wish to be among the successful ones though.
