Breaking News : Students of Benue State Schools of Nursing and Midwifery Makurdi went on protest this morning blocking the main entrance to the school. There demands were:
1. No water supply to the school even when Government awarded water contract since 2016, since then no single drop of water has been experienced in the school. They cannot flush toilet at their various hotels which had led to spread of diseases and sickness to students and workers alike. There is serious odour emanating from the toilets and bathroom making the hotels inhabitable. For these reasons, the students are seeking the shutting down of the school.
2. There is no independent power supply at the school should the public power supply goes off. Take note that these are the females hostels which should be normally be lighted all the times especially at night.
They are also agitating for medical allowances as agreed when they were admitted into the school. Presently no allowances is being paid to them. On the arrival of the commissioner for health and his permanent secretary to the school, they directed the two Principals to summon all the students for a brief meeting at the school auditorium, instead of the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Health to pacify the students and promise them that the failed water project would be restored, rather, he went threatening them with expulsion and further compelled them to sign undertaking right in the present of everyone. How can such a person be allowed to represent government by destroying instead of repairing. Before now, the journalists from other media outfits were barred from entering the premises. The students pay their school fees from time to time and should enjoy the facilities they paid for. Please save these students from a draconian government of Benue State as exhibited by the Permanent Secretary Benue State Ministry of Health.

It is merely 81days from the next Governorship elections in Nigeria. Workers have not been paid, there are mass visits to Government House Makurdi, Benue State to collect incitements to support a desperate reelection bid of one of the worst Governors that Benue has ever produced.

As the time for the general elections draw nigh, bloggers, market women, comedians, pressmen, traditional rulers, party chieftains, prostitutes, herbalists, pastors, witches and wizards, musicians, actors, thugs, militants, ethnic militias, political jobbers are besieging the people's houses to receive settlement in order to support the reelection bid of the incumbent government in the state.

The Governor and his appointees are hosting some groups themselves. The first lady is also hosting some groups.Our parents have not been paid for long , but the question is "should we blame these people?"

All these are happening and all of these cretinous characters who enjoy the booty are happy. They are happy because the feeding bottle is on again. That's why they will always sing praises for ortom.
It is business as usual. And I am happy and proud to be part of the team that will take over leadership in this state by 2019.

The failure of Governor Ortom of Benue State at the 2019 polls is eminent, see some of the major reasons: 1) failure to pay salaries and pensions from the very beginning of his tenure.
2) indebtedness to so many contractors even those who have finished their contracts.
3) series of strikes by workers of Benue State University Teaching Hospital as a result of non-payment of arrears, lack of promotions and more importantly, decayed infrastructures, lack of water, blown off roofs, non completion of sewage systems etc.
4) total neglect of the three main General Hospitals in the state, as a matter of fact, they are worst than village clinics, they are in complete state of disrepair. Patients and workers defecates in the bushes, because, there are no toilets, water, and drugs.
5) lost of so many lives, not from Fulani herdsmen alone, but from hunger and diseases.
This is a total call to vote out Ortom who is unrepentant liar. He must not be allowed to come back to the Government House, prison is the best place for him.
Finally, the Most Shocking part of it all is that, the Governor is planning to travel to Jerusalem this week with about Two Hundred and Fifty People (250). My question is where are the funds coming from.
