Politics / Re: Alex Otti spends 5 billion naira on 1 kilometer road by Iykopee(m): 5:52pm On Apr 12
That Port Harcourt Road in Aba was in deplorable state for many years. Infact, it was the criminal named Ikpeazu whom decided to expand that road by demolishing peoples houses without paying compensation. My uncle's house was affected and he got no dime as compensation.

Guess what? That road was abandoned without Ikpeazu starting any work on it until he left office. But while Ikpeazu was in govt house, that road became death trap for commuters. The entire environment was absolutely mess up because it was not motorable anymore, garbages dumped by the road side, flooded gutters and the entire stretch of that road became abandoned project.

No more movement in and out of Aba through Port Harcourt Road which serves as the easiest route into Aba from Port Harcourt-Aba expressway.

For Alexander Otti to re-award that road project to JB is to ensure the standard of that road is topnotch, and to make the people of that area and businesses have a sigh of relief.

PDP goons and stalwarts can keep crying.
After messing up Abia State for 24yrs, they have the effrontery to attack a man whom in less than one year is reconstructing Abia State that was neglected by Orji Uzor Kalu, TA Orji and Okezie Ikpeazu combined.

They are mad.

There is nothing you can ever do to satisfy an Ibo man.

Reno wore a made in Aba shoe and they mocked him for it. They did not know it was Aba made.

Same people will cry when people decide not to buy Innoson motors.

How do you know that shoe was made in Aba? A cretin like Reno can say anything to gullible people.

That tactical clapback failed woefully.. that shoe is not made in Aba. Remo the hungry man couldn't afford ordinary polish to make it look better.

That shoe is made in Afghanistan. You can only see such shoes with Talibans and Tuareg rebels in Mali.

Politics / Re: Muric: Hardship Faced By Nigerians Is Trial From Allah. by Iykopee(m): 2:43pm On Apr 12

NEWS

MURIC also advised the Muslims to seek forgiveness from their Creator, Allah, to change their ways, eschew greed, and appreciate what Allah has done for them.

An Islamic rights advocacy group, the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has told Nigerian Muslims to see the current economic hardship as a trial from Allah for which they need patience in order to overcome it and receive divine blessings.
MURIC also advised the Muslims to seek forgiveness from their Creator, Allah, to change their ways, eschew greed, and appreciate what Allah has done for them.

This was contained in a Sallah message signed on Thursday by the MURIC Executive Director, Prof Ishaq Akintola, noting that those who face the trial with forbearance will receive the mercy and blessings of Allah.
MURIC calls on Nigerians to desist from trading blames, and cultivate a positive attitude towards their country, to seek forgiveness from their supreme creator.

The statement reads in part; “We congratulate the Nigerian Ummah (Muslim Community) on the successful completion of the 2024 (1445AH) Ramadan season. In particular, we felicitate with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima as well as the Sultan of Sokoto and President General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar.

“It is our wish to ponder over the present economic hardship being experienced by Nigerians. In the first place, we submit that Nigeria has been blessed in all ramifications including a wonderful and extended landscape, rich and fertile land, unlimited mineral resources as well as human capital wealth. Qur’an 20:118-119 and 16:112 alluded to these blessings.
But in spite of Allah’s warning that Shaytan (Satan) is man’s open enemy and that we should not allow him to deceive us into forgetting Allah’s blessings (20:117), we hobnobbed with Shaytan, became greedy and committed evil on both land and sea (30:41) and failed to appreciate Allah (fakafarat bi ani’umillahi) and as a result of our ingratitude, Allah made us taste the pangs of hunger and fear (16:112).
“We therefore urge Nigerians to see the current hardship as a direct impact of our bad past and a trial (2:155 and 29:2) which we should patiently contend with and seek the forgiveness of Allah in order to overcome the hardship and receive divine blessings. According to the Glorious Qur’an, those who face the trial with forbearance will receive the mercy and blessings of Allah (2:157).

“Consequently, MURIC calls on Nigerians to desist from trading blames, to cultivate a positive attitude towards their country, to seek forgiveness from their Supreme Creator, turn a new leaf and face the future with patience and hardwork.”

If you are travelling by the river without life jacket, there is a way around that saves life and, it doesn't cost a thing. It's a very effective means of saving your life on a capsized boat whether you can swim or not.

An airtight 10 or 20 litres jerrycan does the magic. It has the capacity to keep one afloat until rescue team come your way. Just hold unto it with your strength so it doesn't slip away.

Common knowledge helps a lot.

When Buhari was perpetuating same criminality through useless rail network construction from North to Niger Republic, northerners didn't see anything wrong with that.

Today, someone from the South is perpetuating same criminality, nobody should criticize it. What's good for the North is good for the South.

Dem dull I swear.

Businesses and companies are closing shop and the increased unemployment rate doesn't in anyway teach them that the economy under the worthless clown they call TINUBU is in shambles.

If the private sector manufacturers that rely on DIESEL to operate their machines (because NEPA is DEAD) can't cope with the increased price of DIESEL how then will they make profits without 'cutting costs and manufacturing substandard' products?

Why won't they sack more NIGERIANS? Even if the try to stay afloat, how will they sell their products after increments of prices of their finished products? How will NIGERIAN citizens afford to buy their products when the economy is actually DYING?

I swear down even BUHARI wasn't this shallow and foolish.

I am glad that TINUBU was elected, so that YORUBAs Choice has been exposed to be the most useless PRESIDENT in NIGERIAN history

Very shameless people.. na WA!

A vast majority of these idiots are cleaners, gardeners and messengers in state govt agencies. They aren't managing any firm no matter how little, and they aren't employers of Labour. So their expectations are understood from a manufacturer point of view.

They practically have zero knowledge about the workings of a fledgling economy. By their summations, it is obvious they don't know why prices of goods still are not in anyway scaling down.

Well, with the current price of fuel, diesel, gas and Dollar, they are in for an economic doom.
