Cristiano ronaldo dos santos Aveiro is the world's best player and the 2011 European golden shoe winner.

How can messi be the best when he has the two best midfielders in the planet feeding him the ball?

Even in today's game iniesta gave him the assist to his goal. . .WPOFY my butt! grin grin

To be the best in the world, you have to start with being the best in your team, until messi proves himself in another club or without xavi and iniesta I'll be the first to claim it without an iota of doubt in my mind.
wetin u dey yarn? abegi go sleep, wetin woman understand abbt football?

@ iyasah if it is igbos you are referring to , igbos are everywhere in large numbers just like indians and chinese and not just in lagos.
There is a ver large igbo community in cameroun , gabon , Accra , I vory coast , liberia andbeyond africa.

Don't just think igbos singled out lagos to come and cohabit with yorubas . This tribe do business all over the world.
In a single flight to china , a friend of mine told me that half of the plane was filled with igbos.

Lagos is not their first or last bus stop.

I never knew that time and economist magazines that are older than nigeria is owned by yorubas.

As at the last check in Abuja , yorubas are not even controlling taxi business because northerner are now into it .
Interstate transport to osun, oshogbo, ibadan may be controlled by some few yorubas but the poin it this. Fashola average perfomance is being over glorified by yorubas. Not even northerners praise FCT minister for the beauty and Ambience of Abuja.
If Abuja was in yoruba land , we would have been riled with pages of nairaland telling us how ACN. And tinubu's puppet has transformed abuja into glory land and how the minister of Abuja or Mayor should become the president of Nigeria

@ poster , if fashola stooped to be governor of lagos then what stops him from stooping , even OBJ stooped for Atiku for his second term , when he refused to stoop again he was denied third term.

The problem with most yorubas is that they don't travel beyond the southwest and some don't go beyond lagos .
So when you tell them that some other governors are doing better than their 1 eye king (fashola) they don't believe you , they think you hate them.
grin grin grin and your kins will not stop running to Lagos for a better life.Guy it happens in Lagos, take it or leave it. wink

I wonder what FASHOLA is doing that is making pple say He's working, The whole of ALIMOSHO[largest L.GA }is in deplorable condition. All he's doing is planting flowers and the press doing massive publicity for him.IDIMU-IKOTUN road is terrible, Isolo road is non-existent, Abule-egba sef na no go area.

With the massive tax accrued to FASHOLA and going to TINUBU's pockets, what is he using the money for?, Abeg, give us a break jare, It's when FASHOLA leaves power that u pple will know that he's not doing nada. The most evident thing he did was to drive pple from Oshodi market. GOD WILL JUDGE ALL OF THEM
i can only make two conclusions from your comment
1. you live in Alimosho, that i am sure,
2. probably, one of the traders chased from Oshodi market.

I personally think Fashola would have been interested in the position but did not fight publicly for it as he feared the PDP dominated forum would not vote him in and vote one of their own. The old rule says never fight a battle if you are not sure of winning.

Ameachi for me is a wonderful governor and i will rate him at par with Fashola and Chime which means we have a good GFN leader with a focus on development.

If Fashola really has the political mettle to be the president of Nigeria then becoming the leader of the GF is a good start. If fashola cannot lead the moronic governors in the forum then how will he lead the thousands of moronic cabals existing in Nigeria. LAgos is not Nigeria and i presonally think Fashola should have tried to lead the GF.

Fashola leading the GF would have spread his influence outside the SW, it would have freed him in some ways politically from his godfather, it will be a nice way to begin 2015 struggle because i see no way Fashola can be president in 2105 under ACN , it will just be a wild goose chase and end up another Ribadu IMO.

Fashola needs to reach out , spread his tentacles , spread his influence. Bukola Saraki IMO was the smartest GF leader to date because he knew how used the GF to spread his influence. BS is a smart guy and did well for Kwara but he represents the old order of pro staus quo politicians.

Having said all these, i wish Rotimi well in his new role and the best PDP governor emerged chairman kudos to them they voted based on merit.
look quit making assumptions. in the first place, who told you Fashola is interested in ruling Nigeria? you will make him try if he is not interested? GEJ became president stooping and stooling about, some people just will not cost their dignity to do that. i cant be president of Nigeria, with all the back stabbing, mud fighting word bantering and cash flow between fingers. ask yourself, was Bukola Saraki smart enough and he didnt get to be president? quit all this noble Nigeria politics you gat in your head. the morons of governors will impeach him before he gets to say jack.

How do you define valuehuhThe governor's forum is today the most influential power block in the country.Talking about adding value, given that their strategic interest, somewhat selfish, outweighs the value-adding interest, discountenance the power they wield in that forum at your own peril.

Have you forgotten the doctrine of neccesity,it was actually a resolution of the governors, who in turn communicated same to the reps and senators from their states
yeah, we all saw the role they played before and during Yardua's demise- somewhat selfish right? bot -bellied goofs running around Aso-rock in white flowing gowns. i nearly mistook them for my village's masquerade, always trying to scare everyone but we all knew who was behind it, the guy whose wife wink always hits him at the slightest irritation. Guy, they add nothing to me, maybe you but not me. so it must be at your peril. wink

The people flocking to lagos do so because the fed govt in their cleverness built and equipped the only recognized international airport in lagos, they also built the only deep sea port in lagos, how do they expect people to do their import and export business except in lagos.

How ever as new international airports are coming up every where and as the niger delta is set to get their first deep sea port all that is likely to change by 2015 .

Also the oil companies should relocate to the source of their raw materials
LMAO. did you mean year 2105? we will wait and see them finish it grin grin you mean those criminals of yours will pass the cash to build those airports and seaports perfectly? face it man, just pray the airport's runway wont be over your grave.

just like Bukola Saraki being chairman of NGF added value to Nigerians, this is not about being a Yoruba or not, if a man is doing good he is doing good bereft of your Nigerian- loot -all -and -leave -non -sense.
Who told you that? The people say he is the best (highest approval rating of any politician in Nigeria), other governors say he is the best, heck, even the US ambassador says he is the best.

I certainly don't see these other governors getting profiled by prestigious international papers like Time Magazine and The Economist.

At this point, the question shouldn't be whether he is the best governor/administrator in Nigeria. A better question might be, where does he rank amongst the best leaders in Africa?
\
yeah thanks, these folks here love to hear it when you hate like they do. they need glasses to correct their visions between hating and criticizing.

Oh please, fashola's performance as a governor is not better than that of amaechi who is now the chairman of the NGF. But Rivers people do not place see amaechi as an angel. You don't know how much fashola is looting by the side and to say that everything fashola does is for the interest of lagosians is naive.
Fashola wanted the position of the NGF chairman, but it was almost impossible for him to attain it so he chickened out, not because he wanted to attend to the needs of lagosians as some claim here- and that's the point.
And in your arithmetic sense Rivers state is as populous as Lagos, the revenue rivers gets from oil revenue and other allocation is the same Lagos gets from IGR and other allocations. the geography and structural challenges lagos deals with an ever growing population of your Kins who will not stay back in their states rather than move to Lagos.  Go ask the likes of your Lucky the Crim>>> Igbinedion, James Bond Ibori and the endless list of their ilks. Fashola is not the best, but we aint complaining about it to you or anyone. you got problems with that? Produce your own. no bog deal.

though i have my reservation about Buhari, i dont know why. it is only striking that after several election frauds, he still has not given up hope of getting to the top of Nigeria one day. for me, THATS A MAN! he definitely has something motivating him. but what it is we dont know. only, so far, he has impressed me with his determination and innovative ideas ( or ideas of his campaign organization). however, i really wished we had some one who  is entirely not from the ERA OF OBASANJO, IBB, BUHARI AND GANG- those will rule till they die? and dont get me wrong, GEJ IS NOWHERE NEAR MY MIND,  HE IS, IN MY OPINION, A CHARACTER YOU ONLY FIND IN WOLE SOYINKA'S INGENIOUS DESCRIPTION OF A JESTER.  is it not a waste of 5 GENERATIONS TO SEE THESE PEOPLE STILL WANT TO RULE NIGERIA? i read enough comments here to make me believe young people can lead Nigeria, and young is not neccessarily in 20s and 30s but 40s and late 40s too, even early 50s, irrespective of tribe, ethnic origin, religion, whatsoever! to be honest, i hardly can count any candidate that holds that appeal to me
SportsBbc News : Etuhu Jailed 8 Months For Assault by Iysayah(op): 4:04pm On Mar 24, 2011
Manchester City footballer has been jailed for a fight in the street which left a man with a broken jaw.

Striker Kelvin Etuhu, 22, previously admitted assault occasioning actual bodily harm and affray.

He was caught on CCTV kicking Owen Fitzpatrick three times after knocking him to the ground with a punch outside Manchester's 235 Casino last February.

Etuhu, of Abbeycroft Close, Astley, Wigan, was sentenced to eight months in prison at Warrington Crown Court.

In sentencing, Judge Hale told Etuhu: "You brought yourself up by your bootstraps, you and your family, having come here from Nigeria with nothing but your talent, grit and determination.

"That is a great credit to you and your family and you have blown it."

The footballer is the younger brother of Dickson Etuhu, who plays for Fulham.

Single punch
His brother was in the public gallery with their mother, another brother and relatives.

Earlier, the court was told Etuhu had been released from his contract at Manchester City, in part due to the criminal proceedings.

Peter Cadwallader, for the prosecution, told the court the violence started from a "very minor" dispute inside the casino which ended when Mr Fitzpatrick, 24, and two friends were asked to leave the venue.

The three men then waited outside for Etuhu and his friend Rico Richards, 27, to emerge.

The court heard the three men confronted Etuhu as he got into his BMW car, which Richards was driving.

Etuhu finally got out of the car and launched the attack.

The court heard how the player felled Mr Fitzpatrick with a single punch and, when he was on the ground, kicked him three times and inflicted the broken jaw.

what has Miss Nigeria marrying a white guy got to do with me? just stop the gossip and live your life.

Think of it this way guys, if the queen of England married a man who wasn't white all hell would break loose, and if the igwe of your village married a woman who isn't from his own community, not even talking about race, similar reactions would emerge, ask yourselves why. . .
i was just wondering too what that means. Might i add that a struggling guy marrying Dangote's daughter would mean he would taint her blood line  undecided
