Members of the Lagos State House of Assembly and staff are still in shock over the discovery of the dead body of the Chief Matron of the Staff Clinic of the House, Mrs. Caroline Oriola, who allegedly died inside her clinic over the weekend. The Chief Matron it was gathered had gone to the office on Saturday, August 22, for an undisclosed reason, but her dead body was only discovered in the morning hours of Monday, 24 August, by a cleaner, who had gone to clean the clinic. Sources in the Assembly revealed that the woman had gone to her office on the fateful day and was said to have put on the air conditioner in the office and locked the door from behind. It was gathered that the security men that were on duty were oblivious of the incident, even though she signed in before she picked the keys to the clinic, being a weekend. A visit to the office revealed a sad atmosphere as the whole place was calm and some of the staff of the Assembly were seen discussing her death in groups. Advertisement “It is indeed sad news; nobody expected that she would die, when she did. We were told that she was in the clinic to pick some drugs, only for her dead body to be found on the floor by a cleaner,” said a source. Another source in the Assembly disclosed that the late matron’s husband, who had waited endlessly for her to return home late Saturday, had gone to check her in the Assembly but that he could not find her car in the staff car park, adding that he was unaware that she parked her car at the lawmakers’ car park in the Assembly. A source who contacted the Deputy Chief Matron, Mrs. Shebiotimo, said she was not aware of any form of disease that she may be suffering from, that could have led to her sudden death. Also contacted to know why the security people could not find the woman till her body was found about 48 hours after she signed and considering that the light in the office and the air conditioner were on, the Chief Security Officer of the House, Kushiro Abdulkabir, said he was not around and so could not comment. The body of the deceased was later conveyed to the morgue with the Assembly ambulance accompanied by some staff of the House led by the Clerk, Segun Abiru. http://www.today.ng/news/08259799-lagos-assembly-chief-matron-found-dead-in-her-office/?utm_source=&utm_medium=twitter |

=COMPATRIOTS= • It's the way of a naija soldier, at the deep of Sambisa in the night, • But the wolves are not scaring him, he is alright. • Just the day, just the day away, He hopes and can feel it sometimes, • But the wolves are never ending- they are not scaring Him, the soldiers though they dread midnight. • But when the morning comes The sun will then find the remaining/surviving(17) 'Chiboks' with those wolves-so-heartless • So before midnight; let the soldiers soon find them. Lest they die. •We'll soon read the news.. six(6)weeks from today to be specific, the news breaker- Daily Trust shall be first to publish! • A lonely teardrop falls down from the President's eye... As they died. • But where, where? did all these terrorists come from? For I am dazed, stupefied and characteristically discombobulated.. • Far away? from across the neighboring countries? Naija? • I just don't follow! And where? where?? Where have all these our Armed Forces now gone ? • Let the Sun come show them all to us! • But the rich across the regions of this Naija's ocean, for a while there he smiles... • As he sails with the other ones, the wind dies. • So a cry, so a cry is calling all the wolves among the night • As I sail with the other ones I find them alright. • Then with the morning comes the sun that finds them all, so divides the night and they die. • And with the morning sun a lonely teardrop falls down from my eye... and I die.
