In other words ameachi is telling all of us that it is highly impossible for the FG to meet up with the energy and transport needs of the country...did he have this figure in mind when he started the construction of the white elephant monorail project in rivers state...Our leaders are really crazy...

Politics / Re: FG Plans Dialogue With Militants To End Vandalism - Lai Mohammed, Kachikwu by Izontubo(m): 8:01am On May 24, 2016
The nda should discuss resource control / true federalism and nothing more...let the FG start receiving the 13 percent the Niger delta is receiving presently and let all of us move on..This in particular is the underlying issue which if not addressed would lead to more uprising until maybe hydrocarbons dry up in the Niger delta...

How can a country be so unfair right in democracy...let each region work hard to foster the progress of nigeria..let for once nigeria get back on her feet and do something right..
Politics / Re: Jonathan’s Government Was Corrupt, Visionless, Ran Nigeria Aground – MEND by Izontubo(m): 7:55pm On May 23, 2016
Now I see why the avengers had to surface..mend has been compromised. ..No more fight for resource control...no more drive for the Niger delta struggle..they've all been paid and their bellies filled to the brim...

I won't argue the fact that gej did fail the Niger delta but I would say this mend benefited monetarily from the same gej and they have the guts to talk about gej...nonsense...

Make nnpc continue with their quota system on top Niger delta oil...hand go touch them...While I don't support the degredation of the environment due to bombing of oil installations I still cant think of a way out for the Niger delta voice to be heard and respected..

How in this world can oil Wells be allocated to babangidas brother and the whole of dpr and nnpc filled with non Niger deltans whilst the indigenes of the Niger delta are left to strole the streets...where in the world does this happen without an uprising...where....

Nigeria must restructure along the lines of true federalism or it risks a violent disintegration.

The lazy Northern Oligarchs won't continue to steal and eat fat on our Niger Delta resources.

This lazy and fake feeding bottle system must give way.

I warned many months ago that a new group would emerge from the Creeks that will blend violence with intellectualism and the dynamics will change forever.

The free oil money flowing to those corrupt, dirty and brutish Northern Oligarchs will soon cease.

This system is collapsing; plan your exit strategy already.

Jonathan that you claim led our economy to become the "largest and the greatest?" Buktus! Jonathan merely had a high Oil price slush cash accruing. He had NO say in oil prices.

Likewise PMB is battling the effects of Low Oil price that he had no hand in. This is NIgeria's opportunity to move away from the curse of oil. Our peoples suffering today lies SQUARELY on Jonathan. He did not SAVE anything for the rainy day. How can he? When Stealing is Not Corruption in his eyes
and you think stealing is corruption to buhari..like it was good cash that funded his elections. ..save the corruption talk for another freaking day...Buhari till this moment can not meticulously and tactfully handle the Niger delta issue and he expects our economy to boom...

Just like any other document, there are several grey areas that need to be ironed out. There are areas that are really promising. But, forget it, my Buhari will need a lot of convincing to pick up that report. However, I advice he set up a committee to review the content and see if a new CONFAB is carried out as the one done by GEJ was not all inclusive, mostly because the opposition elements didn't want to be seen as supporting anything proJona. The same thing happened during Subsidy Removal, but that is a story for another day
na wa....naija at this point needs to sit down and call for a referendum..we cant continue to do the same things and expecting different results...

your example was a temporary case...The reality on ground would be permanent and unsustainable for majority of the masses..

How many average nigerians can sustain 145 naira per litre with a meagre salary for a long period of time..no constant light no transport alternatives......

You guys should stop using the excuse that we had to buy fuel for 300 naira during the time of scarcity...It was even the government who put us through those excruciating times..

Can't you open your eyes and see that we always have to suffer whilst the government enjoys...has any government official cut Down on cost so far...

GEJ attempted to do things that I am in support of but always ended up messing it up badly. From Subsidy Removal, to CONFAB, to TSA. GEJ was a weak, weak man. However, as a Buharist(since 2002), I am not impressed with my man. But, he is far, far, far better than GEJ. And he is the best person to manage this economic quagmire we are in. If Bros still dey there now, mehn... We and Zimbabwe for dey drag am by now o
big lie...GEJ's confab would have allowed all states to explore their resources and driven industrialization so that many of us can decongest lagos and leave for our various states to foster development...

the PDP and APC did stand in one voice and say

No to subsidy

let labour do whatever it intends to do...... because we reject subsidy in its totality

let them negotiate for palliatives and not subsidy
shouldn't the government have planned for palliatives before removing the subsidy...and now we have the fat fed babies in the house supporting the sudden removal because they have the money to buy petrol even at 2000 naira per litre...foolish rulers who only think about themselves...and you're here as part of us supporting their stale move...

Politics / Re: Confusion In APC As Party Suspends Timipre Sylva, Asks Lokpobiri To Resign by Izontubo(m): 6:27pm On Apr 03, 2016
VillageParrot:
Confusion has hit the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as the state executive of the party in Bayelsa State announced on Saturday, the suspension of a former governor of the state, Chief Timipre Sylva.

Sylva was the party’s candidate in last year’s governorship election.

The state chairman of the party, Chief Timipa Tiwei Orunimighe and the secretary, Daniel Marlin announced the decision of the party in a statement on Saturday.

Orunimighe, had while addressing newsmen at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja last Wednesday, accused Sylva of side-lining the leadership and trying to corner federal appointments due to the state for only his cronies.

He said the party wants the Minister of State for Agriculture, Heineken Lokpobiri to resign, for allegedly inducing Silva to secure his nomination as minister.

In statement made to journalists in Abuja, Mr. Orunmighe said, “We also want to call on the Minister for Agriculture and Rural Development, Heineken Lokpobiri, to resign his appointment, the reason being that he paid for his ministerial position. I also believe, and those of us standing here know very well, that he is not a member of the party,” he said.

It will be recalled that appointments into President Buhari’s cabinet took months after his inauguration. The delay of the ministerial appointments was hinged on the idea that Buhari was widely consulting and taking his time to ensure that only the best hands emerged as ministers after what the APC said was a rigorous selection process.

Sordid details emerging from Bayelsa however suggest that the process that produced the present crop of Buhari’s ministers may not have been as thorough and credible as was presented to Nigerians.
