Car Talk / Re: Best German Car To Get? by izyoku: 4:15pm On Oct 10, 2014
lungwun:
I'm shocked no one has suggested the BMW 335i in either E90 or E92 guise which will run rings around the girly C350 both mechanically and at the mechanics too. wink

Horses for courses and all that but I'm a BMW guy so maybe I'm a bit biased. But I do love spirited driving and that's a feeling I haven't gotten from Mercedes yet.

Plus almost everyone and their uncle has a C class. Why not deviate from the pack and get something not run of the mill.

If I were getting another car and wanted some exclusivity, I would look at our American cousins and get one of the second generation Cadillac CTS's.
hey @ lungwun can you call me 08037256177 or email me its urgent.

Yes @yungboss you can't check anything on the E90 no dipstick to guage anything but car is really nice. And from all the reviews I read online didn't see anyone complain about any electrical niggles atleast on the 328i I have. Car is firm handles super trans is like butter on bread...car holds bridepride to any and every road. It marries the road as a true ultimate driving machine
Car Talk / Re: BMW Owners' Forum by izyoku: 9:51am On Dec 27, 2013
The E90 is really fun to drive been having fun whipping mine across Lagos during the holidays. But mehn bimmer is low sha...it just puts a reminder on your mind this is a low car man. It puts that conciousness on your mind no matter what that Nigerian roads apart from maybe Abuja and KD are not really built for bimmer saloon and coupe cars
Car Talk / Re: BMW Owners' Forum by izyoku: 8:15am On Dec 26, 2013
@samuelk anytime you drop off your car please keep a watchful eyes on this guys. I dropped my new E90 at the car wash and had to watch the guy all the way. He washes myother car but he got into the bimmer and got confused I just noticed immediately and asked him to come down and I drove the car exactly to where he wanted and I supervised the washing. With this toys peeps we need to be careful owned this car for 3days now and I understand this is not mynormal Honda accord.
Car Talk / Re: BMW Owners' Forum by izyoku: 10:03pm On Dec 23, 2013
My E90 finally got out of the ports today. I sat inside it and I was like waoh so now I understand why its a BMW. The leather is incomparable to mywife's CRV leather....Car is just waoh, lovely and the size just so cute....not had anything excite me in such a longwhile but this car has.
Car Talk / Re: BMW Owners' Forum by izyoku: 11:12am On Dec 18, 2013
@lungwun I can't take myeyes of your RIMs bro....they are simply dazzling. My E90 08 328i is here just wish I could change the rims. If I want to spend extra money am not sure. But this lungwun rims just simply too tempting
Car Talk / Re: BMW Owners' Forum by izyoku: 11:08am On Dec 18, 2013
Well in all my years of dealing with cars the one set of cars I particularly try to avoid is flooded cars. My reason you can not particularly access a flooded car to know extent of the flood-water damage unlike an accident car u can access very easily and analyse your risk. The major complication I think flooded cars have is the electrical issues and in any case that for me is the most complicated issue any nigerian car owner can gropple with. Our car electricians knowledge is just not there yet except for very few you know their work.
In m assessment you have taken a risk I just hope its a well calculated one but I'd rather a accident car than a flood car. Best of luck bro

Abou HP ratings its been confirmed BMW try to be modest and conservative with their horsepower ratings. Rating a little bit lower and actually delivering more. Its said that unlike their japenese counterparts and other makes who over rate their horsepower BMW actually is moderate with theirs and delivering more in the real drive experience.

Like T-die said C320 or E46 bimmer buy what you like. Most times what really keeps your car running is your love for the car. After all the reviews it still comes down to a car you love.
Car Talk / Re: BMW Owners' Forum by izyoku: 1:52pm On Nov 20, 2013
Took a ride on T-die's Audi A4 quattro stunning. Magically sound system crazy, acceleration breathe taking looks wickid and oppressive...whatelse can I say...u only got one life to live
Car Talk / Re: BMW Owners' Forum by izyoku: 10:44pm On Nov 14, 2013
@yungboss true most times usage of any car is most important.
Car Talk / Re: BMW Owners' Forum by izyoku: 9:42pm On Nov 14, 2013
@emperoh very true. Your point is spot on bro...
Car Talk / Re: BMW Owners' Forum by izyoku: 4:22pm On Nov 14, 2013
...everytime I read about cost of running a car especially the newer years I get very concerned. When am buying a car am a lost more concerned about buying atleast a relatively new car say 5years. I try to crosscheck previous maintenance history and if am buying from the auction I try to access the type of damage am buying. From my experience the newer the car the lesser the headache and cost of running the cars maximum I try to use mycars 2 - 3yrs I selloff and buy something newer low miles that way me and mechanics have very little business apart from regulat maintenance. If you buy a good car use it well and care for it you will spend less.
Car Talk / Re: BMW Owners' Forum by izyoku: 10:27am On Nov 10, 2013
Buying BMW's from the auctions most times afford one the bestdeals...but always look out for the type of damage and impact on the rebuilt title cars....and make sure you have a good body shop to fix up damage nicely....also try and RUN VIN checks and get car history online to have an idea of any available previous history's on the car.....from my research later years BMW's apart from the M series are not so expensive
Car Talk / Re: t-die's 2002 Audi A4 B6 (3.0 V6) Quattro Sedan Restoration Project. by izyoku: 10:04pm On Nov 06, 2013
But T-die has got an explanation for all of us on this thread who he has made fall in love with his Audi. T-die had to help me chose between a 2008 BMW 328i I6 and a very sharp Audi A4 2007 2.0T. And people guess what he asked me to take the bimmer please oga explain why here o cos am tripping for this your Audi badly
Car Talk / Re: t-die's 2002 Audi A4 B6 (3.0 V6) Quattro Sedan Restoration Project. by izyoku: 9:56pm On Nov 06, 2013
...the car just simply waoh's me.....but then again am not very surprised because I know the man T-die when he sets out to do his stuff he is simply perfection persona and always stands out from way way back.....such a real real beautiful car...standout from the crowd....

Just incase anyone is interested I have a titanum silver with black leather interior 2008 328i still in Florida with full service history I can ship if anyone wants to make a deal I'll share pictures below 60000miles only.

Car Talk / Re: BMW Owners' Forum by izyoku: 6:33pm On Nov 05, 2013
@yungboss that 335i and its 258HP is good for boys in abuja or uyo not for lasgidi boys like us.
In another news I think the 328i will give the Audi A4 quattro a good run for its money.
Car Talk / Re: BMW Owners' Forum by izyoku: 12:45pm On Nov 05, 2013
Let me show you guys the 09 335i I wanted to buy initially titanum silver with black leather interiors sports packed. @t-die. Discouraged me and adviced I get a simple i6 engine with no turbo's I also did myresearch and found out the 328- was a good choice

Car Talk / Re: BMW Owners' Forum by izyoku: 12:15pm On Nov 05, 2013
...yeah guys the Quattro 4wheel drive puts some extra weight on the Audi and impacts on the acceleration time and fuel efficiency, same goes for the X drive 3'er...
Car Talk / Re: BMW Owners' Forum by izyoku: 11:35am On Nov 05, 2013
t-die......people that's the man who chose the 3'er for me wicked German machine medical doctor. I was torn between an Audi A4 2.0T and the BMW 3'er but he helped me chose seemlessly.....and yes the warning stay away from turbo charged engines in nigeria not very many technically sound experts on the turbo's
