It baffles how we celebrate grades in this our nation...don’t get me wrong o...I appreciate her and am really happy for her accomplishments...I can only imagine how ecstatic her parent must feel right no...but, people of great grades had come and go and nothing change and no ground is moved...now...people will be wishing to be like her or have better grades...what's her grade relevance to her field...she read well and came out with great grades...how about impart on her field...will she go on to being the best surgeon or doctor in Nigeria or Africa!! Can she stand toe to toe in the clinic or theater where her counterparts abroad can stand!! Grade mentality affects us too much in Nigeria...oh! He's doing well...why? Can't u see he's a first class student!!! Ben Carson graduated with many first class students but he became a person of substance after he could do the unthinkables...I wish her the sky as a stepping stone...and I hope she live by her grade and not tomorrow own a supermarket with a the best result from the best school in Nigeria...can we grow and celebrate impart!!!

Congrats to her
I hope she works wonders out there
I pray I get more than this

I'm not into medicine, I'm a software engineer and I once worked with doctors on a project. It got to a stage were I had to map some drugs to their respective categories. Theres this dentist who couldn't give me the category to minor drugs like fluconazole, clairythromycin etc All he knew were diclofenac etc. The doctor and pharmacist around wont even wait a micro second to give me the category they all belong. nd I dont want to believe the guy wasnt good enough as a result of poor institutions is nigeria(Cos that happens a lot). I believe its because he studied dentistry. And regarding your post condemning okwabayi, u just want to claim you know better. The field of medicine is not what u think. Even as a doctor, there's limit to how u can practice, most cases, u have to refer to a specialist. Have u ever seen a dentist in a theatre removing fibroid or performing similar surgery. But any doctor can do this. Even a house doctor can do this. Dentistry is a restricted field just like other medical field. Unfortunately, Medicine is the champion. Even when it comes to drug research. The major scientist that engage in discovery of new drugs are doctors(some of these doctors have postgraduate degrees is courses like pharmacology). Pharmacists research is limited to studying the already discovered drugs to determine how it works. How long it took to digest, where d digestion started etc(pharmacokinetics, pharmakogenetics etc) At the end, the research pharmacist only tell how best it should be used(dosage), contraindications and the likes. If u want to go the medical line, go for medicine. Then u can venture into whatever u like(Dentistry, Physiology, pharmacology, Medical biology etc) to do with greater authority.

What's concerns a dentist with removing fibroid
you've made yourself clear sef.....you said you're not into medicine ....

Education / Re: Optometry , Dentistry Or Physiotherapy? by Izzykid: 5:01am On Jan 18, 2019
Cosmode the fire back guy .....pls o calm down with origbim.....
Ietty...well done sir
it should be Optometry with dental therapist, technologists and the likes
it seems our Mr origbim has been very particular about private practice especially in edo since that's the only place he knows well..
Private practice should come some degree of business management
if you plan well you'll earn well that's it for private practices... Dentistry beats Optometry hands down any day any time in all aspects...
If an optometry student in 300level is given an opportunity to study Dentistry @100 he/she would not hesitate...it can never go the other way

This is one of the most prominent questions many people seek answer to. Everybody wants to know the reason why lawyers are respected in the society. Well, today i will explicitly do justice to that question. So, if you have been wondering why lawyers are respected so much, just seat back and read this article assiduously.

WHY ARE LAWYERS RESPECTED

Below are the reasons why lawyers are respected so much:

1. Lawyers spend more years in school.

2. Lawyers studied a professional course in school.

3. Lawyers are one of the vital organs of government.

4. Law students work more than every other student in high school.

5. Law is one of the most lucrative courses to study.

OK, those are the reasons why lawyers are respected so much in the society. Nevertheless, if you find any of the points above perplexing, you can continue reading, as i discuss each of the points in full below.

Lawyers spend more years in school:

Yeah! This is apparently true. Law students spend more years in school than every other student. For instance, while every other students spend approximately 4 years in school, law students spend up to 5 year or more. This is one of the reasons why lawyers are respected so much in the society. People belief that because they are exceptional, they should be respected.

Lawyers studied a professional course in school:

I am sure you are not hearing it for the first time. Law is not like every other course. It is a professional course. The professional nature of law, makes lawyers more likely to gain employment than every other people in the society. This has apparently contributed to the reasons why lawyers are respected by a considerable number of people in the society.

Lawyers are one of the vital organs of government:

Another reason why lawyers are respected so much is because, the judiciary is an essential organ of government. There is a saying that, the judiciary is the last hope of the common man. Well, if you don't know, lawyers are the ones who make up the judiciary. They play a very important role in maintaining law and other in every facet of life. This also contribute to the reasons why lawyers are respected in the society.

Law students work more than every other student in high school:

No doubt, Law students work more harder in school then every other student. If you search on Google, for the most difficult courses to study in the university, you will find out for yourself, that law is among the top three. It is because of the this, that lawyers are some much respected in the society.

Law is one of the most lucrative courses to study:

Well, there is no doubt about it. Law is very lucrative if you really know what you studied in school. For just winning one case, a lawyer can earn millions of dollar. If you doubt me, then you should ask a lawyer yourself. Law is really a very lucrative and prestigious profession. This is also one of the reasons why lawyers are respected so much in the society.

It's like you dont know any Medical or Dental student. we spend close to a decade in school
and no doubt.....very lucrative and commands more respect than Law..
