Visited Lagos for 12 days and can confirm that the power supply has improved significantly as I experienced 3 days of constant power supply in Surulere without interruption. At least 18 hours of power supply is recorded daily in my area in Alaka Estate, Alaka surulere.

Mega infrastructures is one of the solutions to economic development. Nigeria has no money available to finance these infrastructure, hence the need for PPP or Direct Built Operate and Maintain. We need more investment in the public transportation system, more investment in building health care infrastructures, more investment in power generation. As developed as China is, they still continue to investment in building more infrastructures. Its a shame that successive government have continued to fail the Nigerian people in terms of providing infrastructures for the public. I understand that over the past 12yrs, we have spent over $40billion on power projects, the results = zero power, so corruption is an issue with Nigeria, we need to encourage the private sector to help build this infrastructures through PPP & DBOM. Its my opinion that Mrs Okonjo-Iweala is right on this occasion.
