You are using a Chinese Version with Global ROM flashed on it and it doesn't support MTN's Band 7 and 20.

And the band 3 they are rolling out is still in very few locations.

My suspicions right from time have been confirmed

Yes, I was using it on my Galaxy S8 +

Glo also sent me the same message but the 4G popped up. I'm only having this problem with MTN. I don't know if it's the new update that led to it or not.

Guys I need help, I bought a new RN8 last week. I chose the note 8 over the recent models bcs I don't like MTK processor.

The same day I opened it, I got the MIUI 12 update notification. I updated it and I have been using it with my 9mobile to browse.

I decided to switch to my MTN SIM that I previously used on my Galaxy S8+.
Since I started using the MTN, it has been from one headache to the other.

USSD never connects, MTN 4G is not working, my 3G data is never stable, it's always difficult to make calls.

I am exhausted right now, I need help.

Bro, i disagree with you on this. Do you know how this road has impacted the lives of Rivers, Imo and other neighboring citizen that applies this route? The road doesn't lead to the airport alone. Before this time people spend hours on the road just to go to the airport and travel to some other neighboring states. This is a project that deserves some accolades for it's present state

If you have 4G in your area then it should have worked (according to specs, the device is compatible with GLO's 4G network). Unless may be it takes a while for GLO to activate their 4G. I can't imagine that the case though.

I chatted glo rep and they confirmed my SIM. It is very disappointing
