Germany doesn’t do “dependent visa” instead they do “family reunion visa” which is roughly about 21 months.
She’ll have to enter the country first before you can go over.

The last interview date dished out by the embassy was 4th of February 2025. Going by this, I’d say you should put April or May in mind.

If you’re declaring your business/business documents to show ties to Nigeria, then you have to include your TCC. If you aren’t, it’s not necessary.
Depending on your situation, it will or will not affect your approval.

Private schools only can do this for you. Filter them out in your research on Daad.

Two of the popular ones are Arden University and BSBI. Just hold your complete €9,000 and above fees in hand because if school doesn’t ask for it, the embassy will.

An affidavit of change of name is an additional requirement to prove your point. It does not stand as a birth certificate/age declaration.

An age declaration is needed where a birth certificate is missing or vice versa per the requirements.

Ghana now has a waiting list of about 4 months or so (for study, not sure of opportunity card). This is still far better than Nigeria, but you need a resident permit to apply from there.

It takes more than 2 years now to get an appointment date.

You can only get an admission to study a bachelors degree in any public German university (not sure of the private ones).

Notarization of documents depends on the admission requirements of the school.

Eg. School A can require you to notarize your documents and apply via the school portal or uniassist.
School B can require you to apply for admissions without notarization of documents via the school portal or uniassist.
So do well to check each schools website for the information you need.

You can tag each motivation letters to the respective schools.
Eg. Uni Koln ML, Uni Freiburg ML.

Usually when it’s past a week or 2 it’s positive.
Mine came 3 days to my flight reservation date; so keep your fingers crossed.

You still have a long time to wait. The waiting period is currently 26 months and sadly it’s increasing. The embassy is still At September 2022 and they aren’t showing signs of quickening their pace yet.

You can try checking in the mornings. Around 6-9am as midnight checking doesn’t work anymore. This was how I got a date.

Expatrio is better. These days fintiba asks for more documentation after funding which can be a headache sometimes.

Lol. Documentation does not eliminate the risk. If the debtor refuses to pay, there is no way to enforce the payment since it's a civil case and not a criminal case.

Most if not all architectural courses in Germany require the German proficiency level of B2. You can search for “Naija Girl in Germany” on YouTube and Instagram; she studied architectural design in Germany. She’s your best bet at answering your questions fully.

There are lots of them that accept second class lower. Calculate your German gp grade and align your search for schools to that.
Also what do you mean by funded?

Most public schools are tuition free; you just have to pay semester contributions which ranges from 100 euros to 500 euros.

Trier requests for an evaluation fee of 70euros for international students if I’m not mistaken (Are you aware of this ?)
Also it’s advisable to apply to lots of schools not just one.
