Their requirements depends on the route you’re going through. A health worker’s requirement would include the German language sufficiency.

If you have the knowledge of German of up to B1 level, you can go through the ausbildung route (vocational training course). You don’t need financial requirements for that route.
But for others, N10m is not enough to meet up the financial requirement.

1.You said it yourself that the first application did not include your complete passport details (you wrote out only the numbers and omitted the alphabet).

2. For the second application to be successful, it also means the first wasn’t filled correctly or the details of the application was changed (the passport details).

3. Like I said before, you cannot apply twice to a category successfully! An error of the passport number not being unique will arise! If the 2nd application goes through successfully, it automatically cancels the first!

All data are filled correctly and as well with my passport number. I've received detailed information as to the validity of the application progress till date.
Moreso I filled out all information required correctly.

The first application is incorrect. It’s usually stated that all personal data provided during registration must be correct.
The second application is the correct registration and what the embassy will work with when dealing with your application.

I noticed on the first application, I only entered my passport numbers without the alphabet at the front.

Then on the second application I entered the alphabet then followed by the numbers.

The embassy now insists on applicants providing an “incoming health insurance” with a duration of 6 months or longer. The travel health insurance is usually 3 months and below making it ineligible but the private/public health insurance provided by the blocked account companies are still eligible because it meets the long term duration.

You should be looking at ending 2025/ beginning 2026

They stopped at 17th September 2022
Although not all who booked on that day got a date from the embassy.
So meaning tomorrow or whenever they choose to remember us they’d start from the other half of 17th.

Two appointments in the same category? Are you sure you didn’t cancel the former?
You can’t use the same passport number to apply twice in a category (it usually brings up an error of the passport number being not unique except the previous appointment is canceled)
You can only apply for a study visa and opportunity card visa together or study and visit and not study twice with the same passport (except you mean applying for category A and category B at the same time; then yes that can work)

Invitation letter is usually for the tourist/visit visa to Germany.
To meet the financial requirement you’ll have to provide a blocked account OR a sponsorship letter OR a full scholarship.
Partial scholarships can be augmented with a blocked account of the remaining amount or with a sponsorship letter.
Anyone can fund your blocked account for you or if you have the means to do so yourself then you fund it for yourself.

There's nothing you can do because more than 5000 Nigerians are in your shoes too. Unless you fall under CAT A, meaning you get a scholarship or PHD admission , you have at least 19 months to wait. There's absolutely nothing you can do. No special treatment. 2026

The waiting period now for category B is 25 months (2 years 1 month)

The embassy gave dates today to category B applicants, so the train is moving once again; they are now in 14th September 2022. It’s not sure if they gave beyond that date today tho.

Your university is in the best position to answer your question. Send them a mail as regards this. Also there’s a thread for study visa, this thread is for tourist visa.

If I’m not able to get my visa appointment date before the end of my school’s enrollment, can I defer the admission? I applied for visa last year, it’s been 14 months and I haven’t gotten a date yet. I’ve gotten an admission and I’m supposed to resume for the winter session in October/November. Can I defer my admission due to delay at the embassy?

This was done 2 years ago (when the waiting was still one year) and nothing came out of the process. All efforts were ignored.
When they deem it fit to make changes, they will do it themselves without any pressure from us.

But thinking out loud, is there no way we can write to this German Embassy to stop this nonsense delay? why are they making Nigerians spend money to apply for a school, get an offer and after which they won't attend the school because of the delay from the Embassy. This has to stop ooo. I don't know of a country that their Student visa takes this long. After all their offices are in our country, if they don't have enough hands, let them employ nah.. This is getting out of hand, we need to look for a way out guys.

Just do well to appear at the embassy for your interview with both the expired passport and the new passport and their copies.

Just canceling your visa appointment is not the solution to getting back your money.
You have to present a visa rejection letter from the embassy to fintiba before a refund can be processed.

Your university address is your German address until you enter into Germany. The only exception is if you have family there, you can use their address instead.
