Obi's 8years brought about tremendous change in education and other attributes .
Mind you, greatness starts with a continuous approach to what works in an environment..

Greatness in a society is reflected in:
-excellent education (the govt after Obi closed down 486 exam malpractice centres).
-health wise (a great health network should have ambulances responding to the public as well as very affordable health).
- good public transport network.
-excellent sanition.
- good roads with traffic lights and side walks.
- advancement in tech and industries.
- good agriculture.
- good municipal services like water, fire services etc.
The society Obi headed didn't have any of what I listed, but somehow, he will propel Nigeria to greatness.
Elections are already over my friend, no need to keep lying to yourself.

From my experience with the Benue people, the idoma have more literate people within that age range compared to their counterpart, u can easily find a Tiv that age who's not literate than an idoma that age who's not.
I have stayed in both places and I have been to their villages, on a general note, going around institutions of higher learning in Nigeria randomly, u will find more idoma in the institutions compared to the Tivs,how data are sampled and collected should be put side by side with the data.

I traveled to Nigeria and stayed in Lagos for two weeks, and there's a funny culture I observed there that is not common to every other place. In Lagos almost everybody is a beggar. Even if you ask a person for direction, after directing you, he is expecting you to give him something. It was really weird for me to see adults begging anyhow, it's really shameful. I gave some money to this guy that begged me money, this guy actually did nothing for me, but do you know that this guy was bold enough to tell me that the money I gave him was small, that it cannot even buy him a plate of food. This happened more than three times with different people. Even in the hotel where I lodged, people there will be looking at you as if you owe them something.

From the look of things, u probably returned from Benin Republic, Ghana or somewhere broke, I don't understand how someone who claims to return from another country will be meeting people who requests for money after giving a simple direction, u haven't met half of the people in Lagos, u probably went to an area at your level and u are complaining.
