Politics / Re: Reps Deny Demanding Bribe From Binance by Jagabanbattle: 4:04pm
Like I said, Binance and all their executives must pay for painting our great country in black on the international stage. Any of their executives held in custody must be made to face the consequences of this false allegation.

More fine & punishment for Binance. Either they are US citizens or not. Even US come into our country to extradite our citizens. If we need any of their executive, Nigeria government should extradite him/her back to Nigeria. If US government won’t comply, then we should stop complying to their request of extraditing our citizens to USA. We can’t allow some nonentity to damage our image.

I hope you are ready to provide the Criminals that asked you for bribe? If not, your misery with the government is on another level.

You can’t decide to spoil Nigeria name just for cheap blackmail. And to whoever that asked you for $100million bride, the person no goh amount to something great in life. This guy must pay the government nothing less than a billion dollar.

And to the government who thought they can fight crypto, you are nothing but a joke. Something china, USA and other developed countries failed at. Crypto is bigger than Nigeria itself not to talk about the whole world government

Politics / Discourage BTC To Encourage Banking; Then Steal Through Bank Transaction by Jagabanbattle: 2:31pm On May 07
When this government started threatening Nigerians through OPay, Moniepoint and other mobile banking, I against it cause it doesn’t make sense in any way. A week later, the main motive is out.

Dear federal government, the purpose of cryptocurrency is to bypass all this government robbery you guys are planning to execute. Like I said in other thread, whatever money that goes out of bank shall never return to bank anymore.

Nigerians will start accepting payment in crypto currency, encourage cash transaction and they will store their wealth in Cryptocurrency. Bank will be ignored and the fall of Nigeria banks is in sight. You can ask USA banks why they are going bankrupt.

No one will save money with a thief. Same way Nigerians won’t save money with bank knowing they will lose close to 10% of the money they keep with bank. I’m not against tax that is mandatory but whatever “Cybercrime” deduction is sound like a yahoo boy billing his Maga. Are we committing cybercrime and paying for our crime or what? No one will protest, trust me. But when a child learn to die in dry season, his parent will learn to bury him in the raining season.

RIP to Nigeria banks which the government want to use as (arms) to rob Nigerians.

No
I said Legit hustles won't say they will pay with crypto ONLY...there will be options

It all depends on what services you render. You can take PayPal as an example and not everyone has a domiciliary account. Since paypal doesn’t work in Nigeria, crypto has been a better way to receive funds from foreign clients. Also, there’s other way to receive payment doesn’t mean the easiest mode of payment now (crypto) should be banned. PayPal blocked Nigeria and Nigeria government still want to ban crypto. It’s insane and insensitive.
Business / Big Companies That Accept Cryptocurrency by Jagabanbattle: 11:55am On May 04
I decided to make this post to enlighten those who thought that cryptocurrency is only used by Criminals. Also, I still maintain my stand that CBN prohibiting Nigeria banks from doing transactions for crypto trader is an error, the beginning of CASH transaction and a recipe for hoarders to start hoarding Naira and foreign currency. Cardoso has made many policies that are good but this is a total error that needs to be revisited.

Companies that accept Bitcoin
From sources across the web

Microsoft

Overstock

Twitch

Newegg

PayPal

Starbucks

AMC

CheapAir

Gyft

Shopify

Burger King

Home Depot

Wikipedia

Dallas Mavericks

ExpressVPN

Namecheap

KFC

Tesla

Virgin Galactic

Whole Foods

Bitrefill

Etsy

Subway
Travala

Many more companies accept cryptocurrency but these are the biggest. CBN decision will weaken Naira, weak cashless policy, enable hoarding and affect profit of banks who serves as middleman for crypto traders. Believing that only criminals use crypto in Nigeria is an archaic, false, uninformed and ignorant thinking.

But that is totally Unsafe and Risky... should people go back to the eraof keeping cash @ home it might give rise to robbery

Imagine the mental stress that comes with carrying over 2m to go transact ... compared to just holding ur phone n transfer

On the long run hoard cash outside bank is not just detrimental to the economy it put percieved rich people in danger .. i don't see any benefit sef

Bro, people hoard currency still. Large transaction will be done in foreign currency. If we look beyond, this is even a recipe for hoarders to start hoarding hard currency.

If all you wrote is true then you have nothing to worry about as you can use regular banks to still do the same thing.....
You need to know that Crypto currency still largely facilitates money laundering, terrorism financing and drug trade and it needs be tackled for even the safety of crypto users or people who wants to hold it as assets.
Do you know the cryptocurrency was first introduced and used on the dark web and for purchases of banned items and pay for services that are illegal?...thats why governments are not too keen on its universal application.
The LIE that's crypto currency will do away with regulatory bodies is now seen not to be true as regulators can still track transactions on block chains and can force crypto exchanges to share information willingly as can be seen with the case of binance.

Bro abeg which legit hustle want to pay you only in crypto?....

Legit hustles can't say it's only crypto they will use to pay you, there will be options

You said legit hustle can’t pay with crypto? That is absurd. Even Hostinger receive payment for Domain registration, hosting services and other services they render in Cryptocurrency. And many more companies do this.

Nowadays I mostly do cashless transactions & so is the case with most Nigerians. So where is this report coming from?

When last did you deposit cash in bank? Unless you are business owner, no one enter bank to deposit again. Instead, most deposit money through POS while POS agent gives to those withdrawing Cash.

I think this accusation is about taking POS operators off market. Until then, we can only observe.

Why can’t the government simply ban cryptocurrencies in Nigeria.

Make it illegal and a strict liability offence for banks and other financial institutions.

Any bank found hosting any customer account dealing in crypto currency is liable to prosecution leading to a big fine upon conviction. As a strict liability offence, it would be irrelevant whether or not the bank was aware an account was being used for crypto.

The crypto thing is mostly delusional hot air.

To the poster who says he receives crypto for services he render. Fair enough, but you are unfortunately in the minority. Most crypto activities are about trading and moving stolen public funds out of the country. These are the people being targeted by the CBN.

The government has a legitimate right to protect the interest of the country whether or not some agree.

People will transact Crypto in Cash without governments knowledge. This will even reduce the government chances of taxing crypto transactions.

Also, criminalizing cryptocurrency will result in exodus JAPA. You can’t reduce your tech savvy youths progress. USA and other countries do not criminalize Crypto. USA tax on bitcoin transactions is now high and insane.

I have been supporting this government decision on fighting those who launder money through cryptocurrencies but this latest move is a total error.

With the latest threat by OPay and possible threat from other banks on Cryptocurrency, we are totally back to CASH regime. People will never allow you to control them which is one of the reason cryptocurrency has become popular all over the world.

Now, people will transact in CASH and never use Bank as middleman again. Any cash that goes out won’t return to the Bank anymore.

Dear OPay,

After your threat to share your users details to security due to trading cryptocurrency, I have decided to delete my account and details with you.

The purpose of banking is to do transactions. There’s difference between legal transactions and money laundering. I’m not converting Naira to cryptocurrency, I only get payment for converting my cryptocurrency to Naira. How does this affect the naira and how does this equate to money laundering? You can give answers to these questions to convince those who still chose to be with you.

Cryptocurrency is not crime and not use by criminals only. If I get paid for my services in Cryptocurrency, then I must not change it to Naira using your bank? That shows you don’t have my market. I’m waiting for this useless statement from Moniepoint before I deactivate my Moniepoint account too.

You don’t cut off a head because you have headache. Since you can’t differentiate between those laundering Naira to crypto and those changing their coin to Naira, your downfall and all other Nigeria banks downfall is near. Remember people make payment for cryptocurrency in CASH. Bye

It was more of bad news when naira fell against US dollar to #1,400 within the last 24 hours. Shockingly, Naira bounce back within this short period of time to #1,200. It’s been insane in the market. Those who bought Dollar/USDT within the last 24hours has lost over 8% of their money.

Hoarding is now a death trap. Keep to naira and have peace of mind.

At the rate wish Atiku keeps attacking Lagos-Calabar highway project, someone will think he’s being serious but he is nothing but a clown. An upgraded Peter Obi who called national tv to cover the opening of a single borehole.

I don’t know if the issue Atiku has with the project is funding or because it only leads to Calabar and not Bornu. With the attack from the Northern Elders, one can only pretend it’s a coincidence.

Why can’t Atiku wait patiently for 2 more years to campaign with the failure of this road project? Mr. Dubai, I’m sure you go through Dubai highway regularly, how much do you think that highway cost? Besides, our roads are more expensive than Dubai roads cause it’s a must to construct drainage on roads in Nigeria why Dubai has no drainage for their roads.

This road is from Lagos-Calabar and not Lagos-Benin Republic just like we have Kano-Niger Republic rail constructed by former president Muhammad Buhari who is from Northern Nigeria. If stray bullet hit you on this thread, I’m not sorry about it.

His Excellency, I will like to inform you on changes happening in Nigeria since you left.

President Tinubu has floated our currency and fuel subsidy has been removed. Our country is still standing and things are getting better after few months of uncertainty.

These are things you were scared of why in Aso Rock. I’m reminding you cause you failed to remove subsidy after election. You left Tinubu to remove subsidy and take the bad name. Instead, he is getting gold medal for floating our currency and removing subsidy. Thanks.

These Agbado propagandists are shameless, how can people that bought dollars 700 Naira be in tears when dollar is above 1200 Naira ? There are still smiling to the bank to cash out. They can only be in tears when dollar is brought back at the rate this administration met it.

Headless mob. I don’t expect you guys to see the difference since the difference is a pain you guys can’t endure.

If Naira remain @ #1,200 to 1$ after floating our currency, that is still great. Better than using our scarce resources to defend Naira which is controlled by few criminal gangs.

We won’t settle for less, dollar will surely trade below 900 before this year end. The future is bright now. I don’t expect headless mobs to understand, they find happiness in the fall of Nigeria. God pass you, Asiwaju come pass you join.

It is not poverty mentality
You are not talking with the wisdom and balance of an elder
The reality of our society is many people are illiterate and lack general exposure and education

That is the reality of our society not theory

If somebody associate s with a person in music business especially Fuji for 30 years as his only source of revenue and that person is stupendously rich with access to the President and governors which he flaunts everywhere and the other is dirt poor something is very wrong

No advice ,no training no education no connection

Lega!!y K1 does not owe him but that is not how Yoruba society works

He knows the Yoruba mindset and that is why he has come out with this bland statement

If he eloped as claimed how did they get together again and stay together for decades

If the guy was that bad he should have sacked him.long ago

Let us even assume it is poverty mentality
How can anyone be with me for 30 years with poverty mentality whilst I am getting stupendous rich
Ko ye mi

Bro, I have been around situations like this and it happen to all rich men whom the society recognize. Even those who are not employed will be working for you without asking them. Although that is different from this issue.

The drummer we are talking about is his worker. Did wasiu pay him according to their agreement? If yes, Wasiu has no issue.

Also, I want to advice you. If you become rich in life ( I don’t know your status sha), don’t ever take someone out of poverty to riches. You will regret such action.
Celebrities / Re: K1 De Ultimate Speaks On Alleged Maltreatment Of Band Member by Jagabanbattle: 12:34pm On Mar 25
Most human being expect that once you are rich, you will automatically make them rich by working with you. It’s poverty mentality.

That rich man you see is paying bills, has family members to attend to and also, he has to maintain his status in society.

Now, how do you expect such man to achieve your dream of being rich for you? A man who creates a company/band that feed families of workers (like those complaining) is not doing a small job. You not begging to feed your family is the greatest achievement a man can ever make in life.

Like where Buhari left it was better than now. Tinubu has surpassed Buhari's entire 8yrs by floating our exchange rate and removing subsidy without the country collapsing.

Even Buhari publicly keep saying Nigeria will collapse with floating our exchange rate and removing subsidy. Here we are.
