Nigerian Police, and court sheriffs have apparently taken over P-Square's home, Squareville Mansion in Omole Phase I, Lagos this morning. Apparently it has to do with a client of theirs who claims they never performed at his show after they were paid.

According to various reports, some years ago, they were paid for a show in Benin but never performed at the show, and didn't refund the money. Some reports have the amount at 1 million, and other have it at 8 million. The brother apparently canceled when they found out the show was postponed to another date. The organizer of the show has tried to summon the brothers to court multiple times with no luck.

So today, it seems after a ruling that they were unaware of was passed, the police and sheriffs appeared at the Squareville mansion to seize property. Word is they tried to tow their hummer also.

Over the past few days, they brothers have been at each other's throats, and have parted ways with their older brother and manager, Jude Okoye.

It’s all hit the fan it seems. The dynamic twin duo in PSquare just might be breaking up, and it’s looking more like than ever. It’s been close to 48 hours since Peter Okoye attacked his older brother Jude, and also extending that attack to his twin brother, Paul. Okay maybe not demanding, but for some of the best artists in Nigeria, random singles here and there, no projects, and ever shifting release dates disappoint many fans. Over the weekend word was getting around that Nollywood Actress, Stephanie Okereke-Linus's brother, Prince Daniel Okereke is a rapist after reports came out about an incident with a Unilag student. He has been arrested and accused of raping several girls by luring them with different tactics including telling them they are contesting for a pageant, promising them fame, etc.

The latest incident was a 300 level Unilag student, Arionla who was raped severely by the accused after he lured her into his home at Mende, Maryland, and subdued her with the help of his security guards. They tied her up before he raped her numerous times.

Stephanie Linus nee Okereke has come out to make the following statement with regards to the accusations:

I am distraught and devastated to hear of the recent allegation of rape brought against a relative of mine, Daniel Okereke (my brother).

While it is a very difficult time for me, and my family; I feel the need to make clear my position, lest there be any doubt. Rape is rape, regardless of who the face of the accused is.

Indeed, the irony is not lost on me. I have spent my lifelong career advocating and living my conviction that women around the world should be able to live free of violence, sexual harassment or any form of abuse against their persons. This conviction led me to be involved in numerous initiatives combating violence against women in several countries including the U.S, Liberia and Sierra Leone.

The conviction also led me to place much of my energy on my work with Vesico Vaginal Fistula (VVF), a passion that dates back to my time at the University of Calabar.

As a student, I heard a story about young girls who had been forced into early marriage and were suffering the negative and embarrassing effects of VVF. The story stayed in my consciousness and drove me, for years, to seek ways to raise awareness on the condition; leading to my work with a team of dedicated doctors to carry out repair surgeries for VVF victims across the country; and my self-produced, soon to be released movie, 'DRY.'

So, again, it is indeed heart breaking for me to receive and deal with news alleging a family member of mine is an alleged perpetrator of sexual violence against a woman. I am devastated.

This case is now in Nigeria's criminal justice system as the accused awaits arraignment. I have also encouraged and assured the alleged victim of my stance against rape and applaud her for her bravery to upset the culture of silence, in Nigeria; even as I accord deference and patiently wait for the criminal justice system to determine the guilt or innocence of my brother.

For Nigerian press and blogs; I call on you to please report this case in an ethical manner. I am a married woman living my life. The alleged transgression of my relative does not make it mine. The focus should be the impact of rape on the alleged victim, and resources for other alleged victims, not me.

The word going around this great thursday morning is that Flavour’s suprise release album, Thankful, has already sold 1 million copies. Popular blogger Linda Ikeji put this out today indicating that Obaino Music, the company responsible for marketing the album confirmed the figures to her.

Now the main question, how do we know for sure that this is correct. Do we just take the marketer’s word for it? But really with the population Nigeria has, and the fan base that Flavour clearly has combined with the fact that CDs are about 100-150 per copy, is 1 million records really that difficult to achieve?

The other thing to consider in this debate is that what considers record sales? Shipment to stores, or actual physical sales? And who keeps tabs? What’s the structure in place to track sales and downloads? Are they combined figures? It’s an interesting discussion especially seeing as a few years ago, MI burst on to the scene with the famous 30,000 sold in 30 minutes. Possible?

From what we’ve heard of the album (which features MI, Phyno, Chidinma, Waga and Wande Coal), it’s pretty solid, and the reviews from many have been positive but pulling in a million in 5 days is taking it to higher level.
