Liars and scammers, we need to be careful. Before they rubbish this pet forum like olx, jiji |
But if the dog was well fed, would the head features be more prominent. Cos I reckon. Feeding was an issue. Hence the more reason owner insisted on giving it away. flexshop: |
@14teenk and @flexshop. Thanks so much for your analysis, based on your deductions, I can tell, there's still hope for my . I will now invest more on it and give it quality care. It's a female actually and was also told it's 8 months old. Whenever it's time for breeding, I will ensure I get a purer male to do the job. Thanks so much for your input guys. flexshop: |
Thanks, I appreciate your input |
Thanks a lot brov. toms55: |
A client has just given me this dog, that I should give him whatever I feel like whenever I feel like. I felt I wasn't ready to start nursing a dog now but he insisted. So that's the story. Kindly help figure out the dog. If it's not pure at least on scale of 1 to 100, how legit is it?

You will be surprised that might not be is picture. Was scammed exactly in the same way. It might be the same person or gang. Kindly see my encounter https://www.nairaland.com/4012432/beware-vet-scammer-large quote author=SlyIg post=60708449]The man in this photo is Mr. Haruna Nicodemus who poses as a dog salesman from Jos. With phone number +234 701 252 2794 Bank name Haruna Nicodemus First Bank PLC Bank Account Number 3116066605 He's on Facebook as Haruna Nicodemus he's a very big scammer. We've been having series of car battery and radio theft in our compound, so we decided to get a security dog. We went on online on OLX. We contacted this man and he gave us the pictures of his dogs and videos as well. We agreed on the price too. we made the first payment of 25,000naira and he told us he has sent the dog that we should complete the payment. We completed the payment of 10,000naira and waited patiently for the delivery since on Thursday, 14 Sept till today. He stopped receiving our calls that day and possed as the driver, he told us to send another money to his bank account so that he can buy a basket used in caging the dog. That the old one has been broken by the passengers in the car. That was when we knew that we've been scammed. The man has blocked us on whatsapp, refused to pick our calls, has refused to either send the dog nor refund the payment made. So, we decided to expose him online and get advice from people on how to recover our money. Please moderator, Lalasticlala, Mynd44, fynestboi, help me push this to the front page for contributions please. Thank you. UPDATE 1: So we were advised by a neighbor who's a banker to visit the bank we paid in the money to the fraudster and report. We never knew there was a Fraud Department in every banks and as low as even 5k fraud can be reported. We went to the bank on Monday,25th and our case was filed,we gave them all the required information. They traced the bank account of the scammer and told us that he withdrew all the money the very same day we paid in. But because the account is empty, they can't frozen it. So now, with the BVN number, they will trace to his other bank accounts because the Fraud Department works in connection with all other banks. So, we were asked to come back. Well, Personally,I was very much surprise that a case of 35k was given so much attention to. We were reluctant to go at first because we thought that they will only attend to cases involving millions of naira. So I encourage you, don't be ashamed to speak out whenever you're duped, report to the bank with your evidences and get the fraudster tracked down and his account frozen. I think our banks have gotten it right on this. I will keep updating on each happenings till the end.[/quote] |

LowerPro:Will try jiji support too. God bless you |
ActionsShure:Many thanks brov. #wordofwisdom |
ActionsShure:I tire o. Chai. I will do as you have said. Thank you so much |
@Funlord, not that I'm letting this die down, I need to sort out some personal runs first, etc , children school fees and all. Once through, I will return to this case. Even by the time I'm ready, the scammer would have forgotten about me. Revenge is better served cold. I think |
I never fall mugun brov, as I've not paid, I will go back there today for a showdown, will come back here and give you an update. Fingers crossed ActionsShure: |
@Namdeenero, infact, I'm in awe of your recommendations. I should have had those recommendations before engaging with the scammer. I've learnt my leson and now I know better. The best thing is to deal with sellers in one's state. Really |
@Kovu, your submission is just so on point DO NOT BUY. Thanks @Akaraiwe, an escrow is an excellent idea, I thought of someone who could be a middle man between us but could not find any. So if you could actually come up with the escrow idea, it will really help online dog businesses |
@ Funlord, thanks so much for the suggestions. When the incident happened, I contacted Access Bank, their response was positive, but then went to the police station. Then I realized it was a waste of time. The police officers wanted me to fund their investigation including transportation, they reckoned it will cost me another N40 to N50 thousand. I juxtaposed the conditions, and decided to stay off. |
@Martel thanks for the comment. What really happened was, I believed he was in Jos. He didn't want to part with his dog without some form of commitment, so we decided to meet ourselves halfway. So I paid that much. And after collecting the dog, he would receive his balance. I knew it was a risk. I dec I decided to take it anyway. But really guys, I've seen some post that I now regard as suspicious even on Nairaland. Someone mentioned he has Rottweiler puppies and his is based in Enugu. He also mentioned he can deliver anywhere in his post. Just like my scammer (lolz )said . How do people deal with them? Just wondering. As for me, I'm applying the lesson I've learnt on daily basis now even in my business, no more , "I trust you " these are the goods, this is money. That's what I do now. And somehow, I'm grateful to have learnt that lesson. Back to my question, how do you buy things online when the seller is based in 4 or 5 states away? |
Lolz |
Thanks @Namdeenero. Lesson well learnt. |
