Shma2022:True. Wish I could spend more time in here were it not for my tight schedule. I definitely appreciate the sober arguments that mostly come from you guys and the Southies. I've been following up on developments from your country and that's why am so positive. A mega dam and a hundred other small/medium scale dams plus a thriving blue economy would do so much on your already growing economy. |
Shma2022:You have to understand that it's the political class that is to blame for all their misfortunes. Only problem is that the populace is hellbent on defending this same system and pretending to outside world that everything's fine while it's not. |
samorobo:You're free to believe what it is you wanna believe. Ill be chipping in once in a while. |
samorobo:As I said I'll try to be stoic in all our discussions and I don't expect the same from you but I know your heart is at the right place. All of us in here, though we may deny it, are Pan-African to the core and that's all that matters. |
samorobo:My nationality shouldn't be an issue but as I said in the beginning I'm half Moroccan half Mexican and I feel this places me in a good position to mediate on issues between the two sides. |
samorobo:My friend you also seem like a pretty reasonable guy only that you veer off sometimes. My aim is to engage in productive discussions on issues that face our continent and it'll be of great help to me if we were more realistic and honest with ourselves |
obaaderemi:In all seriousness when was the last time you had a full meal. I was there a while back and I know the situation is dire. I've also been in touch with some of my friends who've been telling me of how they've been going for days on end without food. |
obaaderemi:My brother this is just not it. I've not interacted with Kenyans enough to understand their situation but I've witnessed the progress of countries like Tanzania and Ethiopia and I want to believe this is the case for all the other East African nations. I'm of the understanding that this countries are pulling together for a federation that will span from the East to the West Coast creating a land bridge for global trade. You're equally smart and I think you know what this means for the federation and the continent in whole. Yet when I look over to the West I'm lost for words. Why stick with retrogressive leaders who've been pulling you back since independence. The crop of leaders in your respective countries don't inspire any hope in me. |
ProblemChild1:My brother you sound like a really smart guy. You've definitely gone to the top schools in your country and probably abroad and I can tell it through your sober and intelligent arguments. One thing I need to understand is why your populace is defending the political class with all the injustice inflicted on them all this years. |
Mkenya2019:Any one who's been to either Ghana or Nigeria will tell you the reality on the ground. I really try to be unbiased but what I saw in those two countries tore my heart apart and I don't believe it's right for any human to live in such dire conditions. |
Kazikazi:Tanzania is a really nice country compared to some of the countries I visited in West Africa. I'm not saying they are terrible but what I saw especially in Nigeria and Mali was really not pleasing to the eye. It was only a short trip but those two nations are in a dire state and something needs to be done Asap. I'm half Moroccan half Mexican by the way but I spent a significant part of my life in Frankfurt Germany. I've been observing from a far but I'll be chipping in once in a while to give my honest unbiased opinion. ![]() |
