Guardiola played a two striker system today does not mean that is his style. He probably underrated Middlesbrough and opted to play Gabby and Aguero together. He was not planning to play that way all day because Middlesbrough has won only one game in their last 17 matches. If we were safe and well ahead early, we would not make an attacking change. That was why Nacho was not on the bench. If we were to play this system all season, Nacho will see more games.

Unfortunately, it is not. Remember, we still had Sterling and Sane on the bench.
Good excuse, but I don't buy it. Wait did I just quote you? hold on let me go charge my phone and inverters.

This is what I have been hammering for long..... And not only me. But I do mine devoid of hits on Nacho himself...
This is the perfect combo for the development of a young player.

Just ask AS Monaco.... This is their model and this is why Djibril Sidibe chose Monaco over Arsenal despite Arsenal's fame as one of Europe's top sides for developing Young talents. Sidibe was never gonna see as many minutes at arsenal as he saw when he began at Monaco and today he is one one of France's brightest right back options... and guess what? he is still learning.... smiley

Pep is just drilling nacho but not playing him at all or at best, playing him for meagre minutes... #just poor.

Abeg... summer no dey far. Summer don reach sef... Nacho will seek playing time in as much as he still grows in the game.
That has been my point. training and playing the best combo. Ok for instance, what if after learning pep's system, pep decides to send him to another club with different style or system of play. Should kelechi sit and learn the new coach system for one or two years?

So you witnessed the "invasion"... cheesy

Wow! nice... smiley

And I am sure you remember it was because of Mikel that " invasion" happened......

.. and I was at the forefront dropping facts to defend his legend and contributions to Nigerian and African football and that he was no squad player in all but one of His trophy wins at Chelsea.... and the heights was when he was called a non-entity....

Amazing how much times I have been hit for coming to the defence of our players in discussions....

I knew it would not be healthy if We allow this nacho issue to dominate as rash comments will be made to mock his situation as they have occasionally been made I'm previous pages... this is why I said... "nacho this, nacho that... let us discuss something else" almost like several pages ago....
Yes i did. Men, it was like the 3rd world war. You guys did great to have pulled through. That is why i plead, you pass you massage without any offensive word that could spark an outrage. Remember two wrongs can't make a right.

She said this.... obviously saying there is nothing wrong... smiley

I replied this.... specifically within the scope of what she said...
You knew they were throwing digs at him, it was even to Thegoodjoe, for his drill talk. That was why you said that. All am saying is that, we should not experience such backlash that we experienced last time (The invasion) due to some provocative words we use.

If others resort to digs and insults to show their displeasure then it shows how immature they are.... smiley

And He certainly knows what he wants..... he won't make decisions based on people's reactionary outcry... people who don't even know the hidden details of what he is facing up there at the Etihad.

And saying that he is walking the wrong path is wrong. He didn't put himself on the bench.... he never lost form... he didnt have a super bad game. Pep just don't rate the kid.... and the least Iheanacho can do is to make the most of the situation by continuing to train and glean from City's top class training routines and also keep pushing himself in training even though the coach will almost never look his way.
Even when the coach did on the very few occasions, Nacho even scored and still got sent back to the Training ground to keep drilling.

Summer is coming... he can't leave now... let summer come.... You don't expect Nacho to go fight the board or say nasty things about the coach.... he is to be strategic in these situations and not reactionary like most of you here want him to be....

For now... he is to make the best of the situation and not carry a defeated mindset or Victim mentality. He is young yet he understands this.... so don't think he doesn't know what is best for him.
I hate doing this, but you pushed me.

She said being insultive and using unhealthy digs is the way to go naa.... about being unhappy with something...

and I said... if anyone does that they are being immature.... how is that an insult? or being provocative?

Is it now a crime to say truth? why would the truth now sound provocative? I was being very specific on one matter.... "how to relay one's displeasure of a matter...."

Lemme ask you... using insults and unhealthy digs when showing how unhappy you are with something, what does it show? Maturity in this aspect abi??
Should i quote where you called those throwing a dig at kelechi as immature? What am saying is this, let us keep it cool. They telling kelechi to go and drill is not as insultive as calling them immature.

She said it is right for others to use unhealthy digs and insults to show displeasure of a situation... and I call that immaturity on that count... what is wrong in saying it as it is? smiley

I even joked about her "worst immaturity" threat in case nacho remains at City... we definitely said that tongue-in-cheek.... or you didn't see "looollll "?

Anyway, I told you all to leave this nacho issue alone... but most choose not to listen... because poking jokes at his situation is just fun isnt it? smiley
You wrote immature in you previous post. That is going overboard. Two wrongs can't make a right, that is simply what i want you to know. There is a way to pass your massage accross without some provocative word.

As long they used unhealthy digs and insults before even today.... then they have always been immature smiley

Or you haven't seen me also speak against the unhealthy digs before abi? you wanna pretend you didn't see it abi? Kwantinu

And about the summer... I have always been the one saying let us wait till summer.... but una no wan hear.... just calm down and watch what the summer brings.

And if you choose to display worst "immaturity"... grin abeg... that one na you oooo.... Nacho still won't give a damn.... looollll

So plsss all I am saying is free Nacho and let us see what the summer brings... it is not far off now is it?

#Patience Mehn... patience ...... between now and then, let him keep working and making the best of the situation...

I have learnt in this life that people who don't rate you and don't want to rate you just don't rate you.... even when we prove them wrong.

So biko... let summer come. Then if Nacho stays knowing that Pep still won't use him, then you guys can bring out your bombs and guns.... no wahala... grin while I take the back seat...

But until then, hold your fire....
Come on give it a break. You can't use wrong to correct wrong. calling people immature is going overboard.

Yep you too are right.... Moses is a favorite but it won't be a walk in the pack...

Trophies count ooo but goals matter too.... this is where Auba comes in.

But Moses looks good for the award. Time will tell shaa
Yes, it wouldn't be a walk in the pack, but cup is the number one criteria. Except dey won do wayo wayo. The position Moses plays is not expected of him to score goals as strikers or midfielders.

safarigirl:
if I had to place a bet, I would bet on Moses winning 2017 CAF APOTY

The only country that could have had a stronger contender is maybe Cameroon, but none of their players is doing it big for club

Many forget that apart from Chelsea winning EPL and FA Cup, if Nigeria qualify for the World Cup, the CAF APOTY is in the bag for Moses.

Salah could come a close second cuz Egypt too will most likely qualify for their first World Cup

It is highly unjust that Aubameyang should beat any of those two considering Gabon is almost nonexistent in African football

Hopefully, under this new CAF President, this award will be given based on contribution to national team more than contribution to a foreign club. There should be a CLEAR DISTINCTION between CAF APOTY and BBC APOTY
It would be hard to use the national team performance as the main criteria in selecting CAF APOTY due to the limited match they play. I think the vocal point would be on your club performance. You can even judge from the way world best players are picked. Goals matters, but cups matters most.

My Brother..... Victor moses will have some interesting contenders oooo... some strong, some just outsiders...

Keita Balde Diao (SS Lazio)- he scored the fastest hattrick in Serie A in 42 years earlier today (in just five or six minutes). And have been doing pretty well for Lazio this season. Plays for Senegal. An outsider.... smiley

Aubameyang (Dortmund)- He is still Africa's top scorer in Europe. Plays for Gabon. A strong contender wink

Sadio Mane (Liverpool)- You have already mentioned him. A strong contender also. wink

Mohammed Salah (AS Roma)- Doing great things in Italy with double figure goals and near to double figure assists....one of the major reasons Roma are still giving Juventus a big run for the scudetto. Plays for Egypt. Another possible contender.

Eric Bailly (Manchester Utd)- Been arguably Africa's most outstanding defender in Europe this season. An outsider for the CAF APOTY Award.

I think that does it for now.... wink

*Modified*

note: Mahrez is reigning APOTY but his stock have fallen this season as a result of Leicester's early season free fall which saw him also turn in several unispiring displays before they picked up the pieces after Ndidi arrived on the scene. He is still a class-act shaa....
Moses will likely win it, if they can win the epl and maybe fa. You know cups counts a lot.

Again, you're giving me a straw man argument. If a player does well for a new club after being frustrated at his previous club, you say it's the bench that improved him plus his hardwork.

If the player does not do well, he did not learn drills. LOL What's the proof that those who were stagnated by the bench were lazy?
No mind am joor. I can puncture all is statement, but I no get power for all that. What others had said is enough to convince even the devil to repent. What I would like to ask him is this. Which would you prefer, a player training alone Or a player training and playing, without explanation, please.
