lol, the reason for that is simple and confirms my earlier suspicion, which is that she very likely got the questions to that debate beforehand. It is not happenstance that the ONLY platform where she has had any sort of confidence and composure was that debate (aside the fact that there were 3 active participants in the debate vs the other guy). LOL I’m honestly surprised at how her campaign has fallen apart. Like many objective observers, I thought her DNC speech was inspiring, and her debate performance was solid too. But since then, she’s unraveled in front of our eyes. It doesn’t even seem like she’s being fake or phony; she just cannot cut it in those settings. Exactly as you mentioned, it’s like being caught off guard in an interview with an unexpected question, only problem is that it’s happening too often and she’s running for POTUS. The repetitive answers and constant pivot to attack Trump no matter the question asked, is not cutting through and doesn’t seem like a winning strategy to me.

As for your last point, I think a stronger matchup would have been Gavin Newsom vs Ron DeSantis — who knows it might happen in 2028!

Most immigration stuff esp visit visa in Canada takes a while- na just to apply comot mind they do other things.
The wait is offset by the fact the visa lasts the duration of your passport validity. So if na 10yr passport you get, na 10 yr visit visa.

Nothing can make up for it. I was really looking forward to attending a close family member’s graduation ceremony, and now that chance is lost forever.

Dealing with all these countries with unreliable visa processes has made me appreciate the Home Office for their relative efficiency, despite its flaws. It’s far better than this mess.

Anyone waiting for feedback from Canada after VAC appointment? Someone applied & had biometrics taken in London for visitors visa since March 2024 ( 7months & counting). No update on portal or email. Open to ideas on what to do next. This Canada people sef…their own too much sef.

Funny thing though is that she has the best odds of winning. If I were a betting man I'd be betting on her to be the next leader but never actually become the prime minister. The statistics are clear on the impact of childbirth on women's careers, and how strong maternity protections help (although they still don't reverse everything. The idea that that maternity pay is what is holding back growth in the country (as opposed to the misrule she and her pals inflicted on the country for over a decade) is baseless.

The whole attacking Nigeria even when it's irrelevant schtick is more of the same. The more she can show that she's 'not like the rest of them', the greater her chances among the Tory base.
