Christianity EtcRe: The Question No One Has Been Able To Answer Me In The Bible by jamescross: 12:22pm On Feb 11, 2018
jendhorlee cheesy is it because this days women are recognized and counted. how many woman are recorded in history. eve must have given birth to lot of females and then marrying your sister was not a crime.

cain fear was due to the seperation and the mark, men born of women would see him as a monster and want to rid the earth of him (kill him).

God marked cain with a mark of rejection, destruction. why did God do that, likely because cain was set on his own ways and refused to change.

I do understand your question

MuttleyLaff:
Face palm. Please, please spare me this
OK, let me give you a chance to explain yourself
What are you getting at with:
"to speak is to be heard by men, to pray is to heard by God"
SMH, brother. Brother why, why now, why this
OK, lets go there
1) jamescross how are you? (i.e. written out words said in a language, and the spoken language happened to be english)
2) jamescross may your day be blessed today (i.e. written out a prayer said in a spoken language, and the language happened to be english)

jamescross, please tell me how #1 and #2 are separate things, where and when, using words, I first spoke and then prayed in english?
paul wrote speaking in tongues with ref to it being heard by believers and unbelievers.
you quoted matt 6:7 which is about prayer and being heard by God.

In both 1 and 2, your speaking to me. in 2 is where paul says when you speak in tongue to a believer, interpret.
Christianity EtcRe: Speaking In Tongue; A Great Lie By Olakunle Allison by jamescross:
Speaking in tongues is for unbelievers

I doubt you understand the identity of the unbelievers
or know who originally the unbelievers were, that spurred speaking in tongues and of which the statement in 1 Corinthians 14:22 is based on
muttleylaff

when i first said you leave out words i meant it. "tongues are a SIGN for unbelievers"

do tell me who this original unbelievers you are referring to. is it those that witnessed the event of the upper room?

just like God's miracles are signs he does through a believer to display his wonders and presence.

it is not even for them to understand it. you can read vs 21,24 even in acts only a part of them came to understand what was happening.

except you have another reason written in the bible why God gave tongues, as a sign unto others.

vs 5 tells us that interpretation to tongues edifies the church, tongues is not as you put it > (just) for unbelievers.
Christianity EtcRe: Speaking In Tongue; A Great Lie By Olakunle Allison by jamescross:
Brother, in order to correctly understand what Isaiah 29:13 or Matthew 15:7-9 is talking about
I think you need to pretty fast, look up, the meaning of lip service
if your saying i misused those verses, and your correct explanation is just lip service, does that nullify my point that the 'babbling' stated isn't just gibberish that the human mind can't understand. but like lip service it lacks heart and so did your interpretation - which bypasses the point of a text to argue words out of context.

it's not the words God looks at, it's the heart. the heartfelt prayer but when you focus on the intellectualism of prayer as it much be understood then you forget hannah and become like those ever learning but never knowing the truth

worshiping with rules taught by men yes could be lip service as stated in isa 29:13 then consider the full text and see that to God it's about the relationship with him and not what is spoken out.

psg's defense looks more terrible than ours. We are going to ball them
we have star defenders playing horrible football i won't be surprise neymar draws cards and silly fouls from them.
psg's defence is good but the way zidane chooses to attack on wednesday would determine how confident that defense would be.
we need to score first and make life that day difficult for them.

our defence like giving teams confidence of getting back into the games we need to start on the front and hit in lots of goals like yesterday.
Miremoses1:
true. Hope he keeps the momentum high on Wednesday. We need to bring back memories to psg, based on their last visit to Spain.
cheesy that's true psg has poor away forn in cl. let's see if it plays to our favor

4-4-2 looks cool. Zidane should also take a look at that Bayern vs psg second leg into consideration,
Bayern bossed that midfield to the extent neymar and mbappe have to fall back to help.

With kroos, modric, casemiro and asensio or kovacic in the midfield, we are gonna reap psg a.k.a rich farmers apart.
most likely why he rest some of them, a diamond 4 is probably why he said he already has his first eleven for that day

[i]13So anyone who speaks in tongues should pray also for the ability to interpret what has been said.
14For if I pray in tongues, my spirit is praying, but I don’t understand what I am saying.
Muttleylaff, to speak is to be heard by men, to pray is to heard by God. Do you agree?

speaking in tongues and praying in the spirit/in tongues are two seperate things. people can forge speaking in tongues like they tend to manipulate any other gift.

when a person gets born again by the baptism of the Holy Spirit like every new born child they cry out. that praying in tongue that is not a result of human mind but of the Spirit is a praise to God. it comes upon a person suddenly overwhelming that person with God's love. this is personal

speaking in tongues is for prophecy, edification and needs correct interpretation. this is service, for others.

babbling is vain repitition of words thought by men. isaiah 29:13 instead of inspired by the Spirit john 4:24

we aren't losing to psg. I just love the way people keep their hopes high for psg to win us, because we haven't been in good form.hope to see doubters lick their a*s on Wednesday. Zidane is a better tactician than Emery. The only place we need to work on is our defense. Same with psg, their defense is also bad.
let their defense be bad on that day, let it be so bad that benzema scores - seeing that he performs better in ucl than la liga.

i want zidane to go for that 4-4-2 and limit psg's wing play.

Real has to be very defensive minded at bernabue and try to get some goals on counter, that's is what I think could help this Madrid.

They can now go on full attack on the second leg
the only people i trust in the team now for that defensive responsibility is varane and to an extent casemiro.

if benzema does not sell the match on that day, and modric and ronaldo bring their A game, and other 5 out field players atleast do their best. our return to paris would just be a formality of our victory.

this game will define zidane staying or leaving, a morale boost that we could go all the way to win this year's cl. am not betting on it but hopeful for it.

And when you pray,
do not babble on like pagans,
for they think that by their many words they will be heard.

- Matthew 6:7

It has to be said,
babbling that what was practised in the ancient world, which is glossalia, did predate the occurrence of speaking in tongues that happened on Pentecost day.

20th/21st century Christians however,
openly and without any sense of embarrassment, did not only hijack glossalia (i.e. babbling) but took ownership of it,
to pass, as speaking in tongues

The sad thing is, the one thing Jesus Christ warned against, as seen in Matthew 6:7 above, not to do,
is exactly just what Christians have taken a shine and delight to.

stephenmorris, by the way, presented factuals actually and not analysis.
you highlighted babbling but left out many words

you stated what a thing is not and not fully clarify what exactly it is. so is groaning in the spirit babbling?

I really don't know why Zidane doesn't use him as much. it will be a big lose of we let him leave Madrid. ronaldo can be our top 9 while Asensio takes that left wing in a 4-3-3 as long as benzema resets his brain on the bench.

He benched Casemiro and Bale because of PSG. Vazquez over Kovacic is because of the attack.

Issue is with the 4-4-2 formation. Should've been 4-3-3.

To me the remaining matches of this season are exhibitions. I don tire to complain because of Zidane. Mk e do as e lyk.

-Lord
if it's 4-4-2 he wants to use against PSG he should please bench benzema and play bale beside ronaldo as the front two.
confistified:
Benzema is just a huge waste.... What an opportunity wasted... He should be sold abeg
even if he is not sold he should become a backup striker, let's get Kane or atleast icardi.

Nobody here has unrealistic expectations.

If the Real Madrid we expect turns up, PSG will have their a$$ handed to them.

If the shabby Real Madrid turns up, as has often happened this season, then it is a toss up. And I guarantee you no one here would be surprised.

So go pray to whatever you worship that the real Los Blancos doesn't show up!

We're out of form, do not have an efficient No. 9, have a leaky defense, and an adamant manager; yet you guys are still so jittery.Seriously, what are you guys so scared of?

I just hope we win without conceding any goals

Madrid were poor in last weekend's draw with Levante, but they haven't had any problems today. Dreadful defending from Sociedad has made this an incredibly easy evening for Los Blancos, who already have the victory as good as wrapped up thanks to a brilliant first-half performance. With PSG coming up in a few days' time, this is exactly what we needed.

Chelsea are not prepared to sack Antonio Conte, and instead want the Italian coach to leave under a mutually agreed deal. Conte has fallen out with the owner because his main transfer targets were not delivered, while the Chelsea hierarchy are displeased with Conte still from the handling of Diego Costa's exit. The club now want Conte to leave at the end of the season.

Manchester City have agreed a £50m deal for
Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred. The 24-year-old Brazilian midfielder is seen as a replacement for Fernandinho, the man he replaced in Ukraine when he went to join City. Manchester United had been interested too, but Fred has a preference to play for Pep
Guardiola.

Neymar1095:
Kdb player Of The year

.Confirmed
Jamie Redknapp has hailed Kevin De Bruyne as "the best I’ve ever seen at passing the ball" after he nabbed three assists for Manchester City on Saturday.

Pep Guardiola's side romped to a 5-1 win against Leicester at the Etihad Stadium with Sergio Aguero netting four times in the second half, but De Bruyne pulled the midfield strings and set up the first three of City's goals.

The Premier League Live panel were full of praise for the Belgian, with Redknapp in particular comparing De Bruyne to some of the league's greatest players.

"I think you just have to acknowledge the imagination, guile and genius of what De Bruyne does because it's like he sees the game in slow motion and that's what all the great players I've played against or watched do," he said.
"The way his imagination and his brain works is another level to everyone else. The great players buy themselves time, the game looks like it stands still when they've got the ball and De Bruyne has that capacity. He is unique.

"I would go as far as to say that if you look at the likes of Cesc Fabregas, Frank Lampard and Ryan Giggs - the top assist makers in the Premier League - I think he is the best I've ever seen at passing the ball.

"He has different types of passes - through balls, crosses - he has got the full repertoire. He is such a special talent and Man City have got him signed up for a long time which is great for the Premier League.

"He sees the game so clearly and it's the types of passes that he makes. The cross for the first goal, the second cross and even that little ball he slides into Aguero, it's unique because not many players make you 'wow, how have you seen that?' and that's what he does. He does the unexpected."

Redknapp also believes that Guardiola deserves praise for turning De Bruyne into the "complete midfielder" and praised the player's work rate.

"I think you have to credit the manager because when he first got into the team, he was drifting around between the left and the right, but what he has become now is a central midfield player," Redknapp added.

"I know Fernandinho plays in the deeper of the three, but he has just got license to get on the ball. He can go and get it off the back four or the front man and he just plays everywhere. He is running the game from start to finish and you have to credit the manager for that.

"He's not a luxury player, he tackles, makes interceptions and he is the complete midfield player right now."

bwahaha luxury player like dablord
