JUSTICE4Nigeria: okFinland has the most stable economy in world today. There are less than 20 churches in Finland. Switzerland has the second most stable economy in the world. Switzerland has less than 30 churches. Denmark is the third most stable economy in the world. Denmark has about 23 churches in it. These are countries considered largely atheist in nature, yet so blessed. Come to Owerri town, SE Nigeria, from MCC junction to Toronto junction, there are 36 churches. That stretch of about 5 km harbours 36 churches, more churches than the entire Switzerland. Between Owerri and Mgbidi l counted 97 churches and gave up. According to CAC, Nigeria has over 23,000 registered churches. We have more churches than schools and hospitals combined. More pastors than doctors and teachers combined. Everyone is born again. All are covered in the blood of Jesus. All are filled with the Holy Spirit. Yet none of those claims reflects in the expected moral elevation of society. We are still one of the greediest, laziest, corrupt, deceitful, hypocritical and hateful set of beings on the planet today, with all our Christ and Holy spirit. Our people need to draw the line between religiosity and stupidity or between spirituality and traditions." number of churches in Nigeria is not the problem. I don't know why you chose to talk about church and not religion in general. Mind you that as of now, there are over 30 registered churches in Finland, over 100 each in Switzerland and Denmark, and tens of thousands in the US. You'd agree with me that the US is one of the world's greatest nations and they are spiritual too. The churches are not the problem but the people, the teaching.....churches, mosques , schools. A change of mentality and orientation is what is needed here which would take a long time to achieve except it comes with severe punishment without favoritism. |

For those arguing about "knee" and "kneel", knee is a noun while kneel is a verb. Now, you go down on YOUR (pronoun) "knees" is the correct form. But you can say kneels (present), kneeling (continuous) or knelt (past) verb tense. |

Jazmiynne: I do not know how things operate in the schools you have in mind.
But I have a B.Sc. in Biochemistry from Uniport and I didn't use Physics. Actually, the original admission I got was for Maths/Statistics, but on getting to school to do clearance, we realized that I had mistakenly omitted inputting my Physics result on my portal during registration. For that reason, I was told I couldn't proceed with admission into Maths/Statistics because physics is a prerequisite for the course. Fortunately, I was with my mum who is my very own God-sent angel in human form. Our two craze together inside ICT cos I passed physics, infact I was with my WAEC statement of result showing my B3 in physics and now they are telling us story. Long story short, I was eventually able to go through a rejection process and amongst the other courses I was told to pick from was Biochemistry, Industrial chemistry, Microbiology, Animal and Environmental Biology (AEB). I chose Biochemistry, and every day since then, I am grateful for that physics omission.
Summary of the long story is that I think you are good to go with your result! Maths, English, Biology, Chemistry, and Agriculture is the combination that sets you on course.
However, do not box yourself into a corner. Get the Jamb booklet and check on the schools you intend to apply for and see plainly their course requirements for Biochemistry.
I wish you success dear. Go and succeed you are the very few people who have made sense on this thread. It all depends on the school. Like you mentioned uniport, OAU and FUTA are the other federal universities that I know who can admit her without physics |

Do you think I'll be admitted into my choice of Institution... I'm aspiring to study at Unilorin, OAU, ABU, Futminna or Unilag. Do you think any of the University above would accept me??
Geography; E8 Civic Education: D7 English Language; C4 Mathematics; B3 Agricultural Science; C4 Biology; C6 Chemistry; B3 Physics; F9 Dye and Bleaching; F9
Which other science courses do you suggest for me?? OAU and FUTA would accept you without physics |

Education › Re: List Of Countries You Can Either Study Free Or On Low Tuition by jammyunn(m): 1:08pm On Jun 28, 2017 |
Nigeriadondie: Well let me give u details. Norway, Finland and Iceland it is totally free to all. But in Denmark and Sweden it is free not only to their citizen but extended to EU/EEA citizens. Outside these u wud pay tuition. If u as a Nigerian is resident or has any EU/EEA citizenship in any of these countries then u re eligible to free education. The idea of second class upper is not d case with all universities as I had a second class lower and got placement in one of their universities. I know a number of Nigerians with same grade that also were able to get admission there even up to Ph.D. U should take note that requirements for entry into universities is reviewed from time to time he is talking about a nigeria who's a non eu citizen. if i'm a permanent eu resident/citizen it is easier all over europe. but as a non eu citizen, you pay tuition except for finland and it's not even entirely free especially when you study in english. |
Phones › Re: In Nigeria We Enjoy The Cheapest Data Offerings In Africa. by jammyunn(m): 11:33pm On Jun 08, 2017 |
In as much as we enjoy "cheap data", how's the service there compared to here? Most of these countries have fast and reliable mobile Internet in every location. I had my mtn go off for almost 3days some weeks back. My airtel I have to restart mobile data every 5 minutes (I'm not exaggerating) to have the Internet going. At least I've experienced mobile data in Dubai, it's expensive no doubt but when they say 10mb,you're sure it's 10mb. And then most people there use mobile Internet for email, whatsapp and emergency services. You have cafés around offering very cheap Internet service (in shops or through WiFi if you stay around the area). Not to talk of free WiFi connection in some public places. |
