Campusity: Killings are bad and utterly condemnable. But I find the silence of these people when herdsmen were killing in Enugu, Ebonyi, Edo, Oyo and even in Taraba before the Mambilla deaths really sickening.
Are some some deaths more important than others? Obviously, the death of fulanis are more celebrated than the death of non fulanis... And vice versa. As long as it continues like this, im sorry, there will be no end to the crisis. |

aolawale025: Has it occurred to you that if truly such attack occurred maybe it was a reprisal attack? Has it also occured to you that the killings in Benue may be reprisal attacks? Whether reprisals or not, so long our security agencies do not bring any of the killers to book, and justice is not served to the victims, these killings will continue. Lets not trivialise the issue by blame games or taking sides. We should hold the government responsible for any killing irrespective of where the victims comes from. |

BluntBoy: Things may seem to have turned from bad to worse but that may not be the reality of it. The country is so messed up that retracing our steps is sure to bring in changes that may be strange to us.
This government is a prudent one and it may surprise you to know this government has been growing the foreign reserve, saving at far much lesser rate. Nothing beats that type of head start for me, especially in a country where there is hardly the zeal to save, even in time of plenty (as we had during Goodluck Jonathan's era).
You talk about things going from bad to worse but I doubt if ASUU would agree with you because Buhari has paid them what no government could do since 2009 which has led to series of strike actions and threats of strikes. What exactly is the reality you are talking about? That petrol is as scarce as ever even when selling at a cost of #145/ltr? Not to mention the general high cost of living which is no longer news because Nigerians are used to it... Or monumental corruption taking place under his nose?.. Or the ineptitude of his officials like the latest appointment of dead people into boards? This is just to mention a few of the countless avoidable cases of ineptitude of this administration. Please tell me, if PMB leaves office today, what will be the gain of the majority of the talakawas supported him? |

BluntBoy: Be truthful with yourself. Do you think it is possible to turn this country around even in 10 years, let alone 3? It's not. But two years is enough to give a head start, and optimism for a bright future not turning things around from bad to worse and always looking for who to blame. |

DonMekino: Oh, Nnamdi Nwannekaenyi Okwu Kenny Kanu, you saw Nigeria for the unworkable entity it has always been. You went to the UK to read political economics purposely to enable you understand why Nigeria was/is not working. After careful examination undertaken with the exactitude of a Jewish prophet, you arrived at the conclusion that the country called Nigeria is UNSALVAGEABLE.
In the dying months of last year when I visited you, I had asked you why you think nothing but outright dissolution would solve Nigeria's problem. After a prolonged silence as though you weren't gonna answer, you responded thus:
"Charles my brother, when you notice that the foundation of your house is faulty, the only reasonable amendment to the house is demolition. Anything outside of this is simply postponing the dooms day. The different peoples of Nigeria do not have a common value system, not a common language, not culture, not even religion nor ancestry. Their worldviews are world apart. While one group takes great pleasure in killing, maiming and enslaving others, the other group has enormous respect for the sanctity of human lives. We are of a different civilization. The British brought us together solely for administrative and economic convenience, not for our own benefit. The 1914 amalgamation shouldn't have happened. And by the way Charles, we are not saying Nigeria should be dissolved. We only want to restore Biafra which was in existence before Nigeria. We just want to be free because we are not free"
To which I responded with a question,
"But what if Nigeria is restructured, do you not think it will solve these problem?"
To this, you rhetorically asked me:
"If you restructure, who will control your armed forces if not the fulanis? Do you even think the fulanis will willingly give up their undeserved advantage by agreeing to restructuring?"
After back and forth between us, you told me that when the fulanis are done with Christians in Nigeria, everyone would understand that apart from total balkanization, nothing else will work for Nigeria"
We spent three hours together, after which I left with my team.
Few weeks later, the Caliphate controlled govt came for your head. Ironically, ordinary Nigerians who were at the receiving end of the moral tragedy that is Nigeria, hailed your oppressor who happen to be their oppressor too even if they would never realise this.
Out of their collective hate-induced foolishness, they got fixated on your method rather than choosing their own struggle and focusing on it,
With a mind ravaged by poverty of history, they swore that you were the greatest threat facing this British experiment. Crucify him! Crucify him! rented the air.
Today, you are no longer standing in their way. Yet, their problem has increased. The fulani herdsmen no longer just kill with reckless abandon. Uniformed soldiers now aide them in the festival of blood.
The horde of phenomenal pro-Status-quo bomboklats who hid under Restructuring to scuttle your agitation have suddenly lost their tongue.
As I type this, none of the peudo-restructurists have been able to tell us how they intend to get restructuring in the face of Northern resistance.
One fantastic truth about the truth is that while a lie need mountain of other lies to defend and sustain it, the truth doesn't need anyone to defend it.
It stands on its own like a bright moon and no matter how much you tried to cover it, it keeps refusing to be covered.
From your struggle, I learnt one horrible truth about man and slavery:
Stockholm syndrome is not an abstract word.
Rescuing a slave who is oblivious of his slavery status is the most difficult task in the world. Chances are, he will join the slave master in treating you as the enemy.
Harriet Tubman comes to mind with her words on marble:
"I freed a thousand slaves. I could have freed a thousand more, if only they knew they were slaves"
My dearest Kanu, the justness of your fight has never been in doubt. Repeatedly, you have been vindicated.
Indeed, Nigeria is beyond redemption!
May the spirits always guard and guide you. Neither gods nor man will take your place in my heart.
Wherever you are, History will look upon you with Kindness.
The bravest and handsomest of them all! Is this a tribute to your Late savior Nnamdi Kanu ( OCM)? |

BluntBoy: Buhari is looking for a lasting solution to the problem.
Also, he directed regulators to mount surveillance to ensure that there were no hoarding and/or illegitimate diversions of products and price inflation.
You can check the link below:
Speaking last week in Abuja recently, Head, Public Affairs Unit of the Abuja office of the DPR, Mr. Mohammed Saidu, stated that from its inspection, a number of petrol stations were found to be engaged in sharp practices and were sanctioned.
He said the petrol stations, mostly in Abuja, were found to have diverted petrol supplied to them by the Petroleum Products Marketing Company, PPMC, the downstream subsidiary of the NNPC, for sale to the public.
Specifically, he explained that shortly after the DPR concluded its recent round of inspections on petrol stations in Abuja and its environs, about 129,000 litres of petrol were found to have been diverted by marketers within Abuja region, while a combined fine of N30.5 million were levied on three of such stations to be paid into the Treasury Single Account, TSA, of the Federal Government.
https://www.ripplesnigeria.com/fuel-scarcity-kachikwu-disagrees-nnpc-dpr-says-marketers-not-blame/ Did you hear where the NNPC GMD said 4500 trucks were diverted? 4500 trucks not needles.... Show me one person that was held culpable.... I can give you countless links where the govt promised to turn this country into paradise... But it's all TALK,TALK TALK and TALK... No Action. |

BluntBoy: Buhari did not cause the fuel scarcity. There is not even a fuel scarcity to start with. This is a case of hoarding for the purpose of exploiting Nigerians. What has the president done about the so called case of hoarding? I'm sure you found it convenient to blame Jonathan for the country's woes but have been hypnotised not to see anything wrong with Mr Buhari...Mtchwwwww |

doctokwus: The Northern part of Nigeria is a big problem to our collective sanity and unity of purpose as a people and a country. How can you cheer the same person that is causing your misery if you are not hypnotized with glue sniffing? And who said all the people cheering are northerners? Sometimes when we choose to stereotype, we find it hard to know where our problems lie. |
