28th being next week Monday is even my deadline to arrive to the school.

Had it been it's UK visa I applied for, I possibly would've been there by today.

They don't actually do first come first serve.

Some people see decision in 6 weeks.

Apparently, If your application is complicated, they would put in on standby for further assessment.

The wait Time within the last year has been increasing. Been 13 weeks since embassy received, and I haven't heard anything since, it is well. Anyone going to limerick this September ?

You have to start mailing or calling them

It's way beyond their normal processing time.

They can't just hold unto someone's passport without giving the person a decision for 13 weeks.

I will need to find out about my own course, but I believe it will be the same for most courses.

Did you specify your course on the mail you sent to them for inquiry?
I believe the deadline would probably be the same for all the courses.

Hello Nairalanders, i submitted my docs at VFS abuja and it got to the embassy on July 27th, My school has given me a deadline to resume which is Sept. 28th (TU Dublin). Has anyone who applied around this time received a response yet. The long waiting period is getting to me

I submitted at VFS Abuja, it got to the embassy on 22nd of July, no response yet.

Same TU Dublin, and they said resumption is on the 7th of September.

But how did you get a deadline of 28th September, did you contact the school?

Hi everyone. Sending a direct message because I can’t respond separately to different people.

I applied in May. I think embassy received it on the 11th of May. They sent me an email notifying me of their decision on the 3rd of July.

The reasons were a lot mhen.
They said lump sum was not explained in the proof of funds. So the proof of funds has been in the account for a more than a year, I printed out the six months statement, I didn’t think I needed to explain the money that had already been there more than a year before (this is what I think they meant be no explanation of lump sum).
They said they couldn’t verify the birth certificate of I and my brother (sponsor), which I think is ridiculous because it’s literally from the national population commission. They said the year of issue is years after the date of birth which is normal as the certificate was not gotten when either of us were born. So I’d advise anyone applying to use the birth attestation certificate instead. It more like an affidavit. Maybe it’s more believable. Just my thoughts anyway. They also said the documents is of poor quality. I submitted photo copies which they requested. Anyway, my friend said when she did her’s the submitted both photo copies and originals because they are really big on documentation. They returned her original copies when they delivered her passport. She’s been in Ireland since 2022, so it’s not a new application.
Then they said I didn’t establish enough home ties.
Finally, the only one I take responsibility for, my brother’s signature on his passport was different from the one on the financial summary form. They flagged that too.
Oh they said I didn’t explain gaps in 2023. I was in law school. It was on my CV and on the application form online. So I would advise you create a document and explain any year that you were not working, even if it’s on your CV. They like plenty things. Give them more than plenty.

I just dug back into trauma to type all these 😂 I hope it helps somebody.

Mine was an appeal … so I used my first visa responses and the withdrawal visa response from the embassy to apply for refund dear … September 2026 is too far to defer… that’s a whole year … if we had January intake I would have chilled

1year is not too far considering what's at stake, 2026 September is just next month, and September 2025 just feels like last week(To me)
