Alright, nice to know you have these extensive travel history.
Now, let me add.
Please ensure you submit all your evidences of relationship with your wife. I understand you know these documents, one of it is Marriage certificate, Marriage pictures, family pictures. You must prove to the officers handling your applications that you are a couple.
In addition, your previous visas and most recent, please attach it to your application on your submission date. You are not a first timer tho, you are a frequent traveler based on your travel history.
All the same. Please attach all evidences and state in your personal letters all these places you have been. Also, attach your datapage and visa copies , sufficient evidence to your wife's application, if she is a first time traveler with no history.

The reason I said this , please read again, is because, we have seen severally that family group visas can be rejected but they approve that of the main applicant who happens to be a frequent traveler. In most cases, it is usually the father or husband.

So please, don't play with this update, show them plenty evidence that you will return together if your trip is for vacation, if possible, do an affidavit of return through a lawyer.

This is a crime VAC keeps committing. Block all dates, force people to 'buy dates' You would still pay visa fee when you get to the VAC. What you paid now is just to book appointment

Thank you so much, I am male lol........I am a first time applicant (per Schengen) but I have had more than 3 previous US visas in the last decade and currently have a canadian visa as well. As a first time Schengen applicant, pls is there something I should know? Lagos is the point of submission and thanks for the travel insurance........God bless you richly.

Hi Jane, i dont know how to adress you as he or she because of your name. That aside, yes, i confirmed today, service fee for appointment to Tls is 44k per person. For clarity on travel insurance pack, i dont know about your preference, but with ALLIANZ is not bad. Lastly, do not waste monies on premium lounge, you didnt tell us if you are first timer or frequent, your point of submission. Ok, you can keep that discreet, but know that premium lounge is a waste of monies unless if you have other engagements should you use it. Take into note that VIP submissions almost experience same waiting times as regular.

Wishing you a successful visa outcome. As for the amount to be paid at TLS for your visa application, probably someone else can help with the figures.

I was just about to ask the same question. I just applied for a visit visa with wify and after following the prompt, the system generated a payment tag of 88K which I paid and I got an email saying that the appointment is confirmed. Here are my questions please: Is the visa fee 44k? because I am under the impression that your appointment can only be confirmed upon payment of visa fee but it is appearing as "service fee" and i was not expecting it to be 44k. Secondly please which company is the best to buy travel insurance from? Lastly, is the premium lounge worth it in terms of ease?

Yes I got my passport back luckily after 5 days of the refusal, guess I was super lucky. About the pending appointment option on my profile, it is still unresolved. I haven't been able to move beyond that stage, so it is looking like I might have to pay another fee. Sorry to hear about your mum's refusal. People get refused visas for different reasons and in your own case maybe the visa officer thought that your mum could have returned earlier than she did probably maybe when movements were eased. I am not sure there is anything you can do but to bid time and wait it out for a minute then you can reapply because the usual thing is "you can reapply when there is a change in your circumstance" and in this instances what circumstance would that be? But then again you can reapply without waiting that long and get a more understanding VO.........

Yes you can, this was copied directly from Travel.State.Gov (US Govt website).
"The Embassy or Consulate at which you actually apply should be able to access your form using the barcode on your DS-160 confirmation page, which you must bring to the visa interview. For example, a business traveler intends to apply for his visa at the U.S. Embassy in City X, so he selects City X as the location where he will submit his application when he completes his DS-160. He then has an urgent reason to travel to City Y on business. Because there is a U.S. Consulate in City Y, he schedules an appointment for a visa interview there, using the barcode from his completed DS-160 application for appointment scheduling. The U.S. Consulate in City Y is able to accept his DS-160 even though it lists the U.S. Embassy in City X as the location where he originally intended to submit his application"

Ideally yes, but these are irregular times and you really do not want to put yourself through the tension and agony should your passport not be available for pick up within the normal processing days. It is safe to add extra one week to the 7 days so that should incase the passport doesn't come on time......

If it is a physical interview you will get your passport maximum 7 working days after the interview.

Please my IW application was refused as well, did you get a mail to come and pick up your passport at the ois office? Also after the refusal, I was able to see my appointment details with which I submitted the IW and had the option to reschedule for consular processing but I didnt because the dates werent close, then all of a sudden they deleted appointment details and I haven't been able to do anything since then, please kindly enlighten me based on your experience.

I had my follow up interview two weeks ago and visa was approved but my passport isn't ready for collection as seen on the OIS website. It's about 12 working days now since the interview.

You dont have to pay another money. Navigate back to your profile (appointment section), you will see reschedule and cancel, click on the reschedule and it will give you the available dates. I did the same thing, I havent booked the date yet because i want a closer date.

Ideally you are suppose to make the payment and after the payment had been confirmed/profile updated and you can now schedule, before you pick a date, start a new application and you will see the option for “self, spouse, child etc” then pick spouse and run the process you ran for yourself then you will end up with 2 payments but different profiles.

Pls a quick question, after you submitted for IW, where were you able to track the passport because I submitted yesterday and I have neither gotten an acknowledgment mail nor the CAEC/Avit portal turned up any update for me, I am thimking maybe it is too early.........

You can only get the option to download and print the IW letter when you have picked a date because the letter carries the details of the time and date you have chosen. After answering all the questions, it tells you that from the answers you gave that you are qualified for IW and further asks you if you would want want to explore that option, upon an affirmative response then it takes you directly to the calender and maybe I was lucky or the date was just available at the time, I got the 26th of November, 2024. You can always pick the date you can see so that you can conclude the process then get the IW letter after which you can use the reschedule option to be checking better dates.......

I believe I got interview waiver for my mom but the calendar says consulate appointment and only available dates for Lagos are end of January? I did also get an option to print out a IW letter but I have not picked a day yet. Just confused if this means she got the IW or not.

If you are able to get an IW appointment letter from Avits stating the date and time, you can proceed and drop your documents. I can confirm this to you because as at yesterday, I couldn't get an ois date for drop off but someone encouraged me here and when i got to their Lagos office, it was almost as if their own appointment request letter had been cancelled because they never asked for it........

I can confirm that selecting waiver works for the IW. My issue is now picking a submission date. Only dates in Lagos is end of January. Has anyone seen any earlier dates. Like for December? Am I able to select drop off in Abuja?

from my experience, the OIS people appear confused..b4 they were honoring ois dates for dropoffs, but now..they say its avits date, mine was 26th avits date, booked 29th ois date....went on 29th was turned back, and it was so painfully, cos i flew in and out. your best bet is to go on the avits date. show the people at the gate the avits letter, they should let you in. presently/last month...the avits date was superior to the ois date....hope they hvnt changed yet again, when u go

Please help my life, the format I saw is for folks who paid already and cannot book an appointment. Was yours a " duplicate applicant found for this user" issue too? I am yet to pay and the only way I get to move to the payment page was the changing of the passport number and sincerely like you said I have my reservations about doing that.........Pls kindly shed more light, I ask humbly

Send an email to the lagisniv email on this thread. Check earlier pages for the format. I progressed past this issue after sending an email to them. I wouldn't advise payment with wrong passport number.

It is well, hopefully you will get it on your next attempt........

Had my interview in Lagos, appointment was for 7:15a.m. USA is indeed not for the faint hearted upon I told them I was engaged and preparing for my wedding and going for a conference sponsored by my company .They still served me breakfast. I wonder what exactly they look for in order to give visa. I honestly think single people don’t stand a chance. By the time they hear you say, you aren’t married, no kids. Your Interview isis officially over.

Same here o.........I saw someone said on this thread that you can change a number in your passport number and that it will go, so I did that, i changed number "0" to alphaphet "O" and I was able to move past that stage and to the payment stage. I intend to make the payment and then if there is an issue with the reconciliation, i can use that format that the embassy said one can use if you have paid and you havent been able to book an appointment but then i am still chilling and hoping that there is another way......
