The past two weeks have been depressing for a lot of people. For me, I’ve used music to heal and reinvigorate my health.
Seeing those videos was crazy man. Blood scenes of people shot by the police, parents crying over their children and the massacre that happened at Lekki Toll gate.

I tried crying, but the tears won’t come. It was an all time low seeing fellow Nigerians undergo pain and suffering.

The Inspector General of Police Mohammed Adamu has created a new unit known as Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team which will fill the gaps arising from the dissolution of the defunct SARS.

Last Sunday, he disbanded the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) due to alleged extra-judicial killings, wanton arrests and dispossession of property through physical assault and other intimidation tactics.

Here are six things you need to know about the new unit:

Rivers State command of the Nigeria Police Force have rescued a two-week-old baby, who was allegedly sold at birth by his grandmother for N1.3million.

Police spokesperson said one Antonia Amos, sold the baby boy because she claimed her daughter’s baby daddy had yet to pay her bride

Olivier Giroud has admitted that he would like to move to MLS in “two or three years” while ruling out a potential move to Ligue 1 before the end of his career.

Giroud is currently featuring for Chelsea, having been with the Blues since joining from Arsenal in January 2018.
The 34-year-old French striker has scored 29 goals in 91 appearances for the club, including one in three appearances this season.

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has commented on the bad state of roads across the country.

Addressing congregants on Sunday October 4, Pastor Adeboye referenced Minister of Works Babatunde Fashola’s comment of “Nigerians roads not being that bad”.
According to the RCCG General Overseer, Nigerian roads are not just bad but they also don’t exist.

Shehu Sani, former Kaduna Central Senator, on Tuesday mocked popular singer, Naira Marley for calling off his planned protest.
Naira Marley had called for a protest against the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, unit of the Nigeria Police Force, NPF.
But, the Minister of Youths and Sports, Sunday Dare had appealed to the singer against embarking on the planned protest.

Following the appeal of the Minister, Marley had called off the protest AGAINST SARS.
However, Sani said Naira Marley decided not to be the “Moses” of Nigeria.
In a tweet, the former lawmaker wrote: “Marley hath taken the path of Tu face and Area father of not wanting to be ‘Moses’.

President Buhari @muhammadubuhari has approved the payment of stipends to Bachelor of Education students as well as granting them automatic employment after graduation, the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, has revealed.

The President has also approved a special salary scale for teachers in the country. He also increased the number of years of service from 35 to 40.

The education minister, Mr Adamu, said the implementation of the new salary scheme was to encourage teachers in delivering better service.

A man has been jailed for rape after he punctured a condom before having sex with a woman.
Andrew Lewis, 47, used a pin to make a hole in the contraceptive to trick the victim on March 10, 2018, a court heard.

The train driver received a four-year sentence at Worcester Crown Court on October 2 after admitting rape at an earlier hearing.

Glyn Samuel, prosecuting, said the woman had found the pin and other pierced condoms in a bedside draw. She checked the used condom in the bin and saw the hole.

The Police in Rivers State have arrested two pastors for allegedly raping a 27-year old member of the National Youths Service Corps.
The corps member is observing her primary assignment at the Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state.
The pastors, identified as Austin Emmanuel and Peter Davies, are currently being detained at the State Criminal and Investigation and Intelligence Department, Port Harcourt.
Emmanuel reportedly invited the victim to his house for an indoor birthday party and in the course of the celebration, he was later joined by Davies.

It was gathered that the suspects offered to pray for the victim and in the middle of the prayer, they applied a-yet-to-be-identified liquid on her face which made her unconscious.
Speaking with journalists, the corps member said she experienced pains in her private parts after regaining consciousness.
