Finally please take some time to study the voting pattern of the North since 1959, the idea of a united North is a myth. There are 3 voting blocks in the North and they never vote in unison because they are fundamentally different in ideaology and orientation. To the best of my Knowledge, the amalgamation of APC under Buhari is the only time in the history of Nigerian elections that the Sokoto/ kaduna axis, the aminu Kano axis in Kano and the Old Borno axis have ever voted in unison. With Buhari out, they are splitting up again. Hence Kwakwanso in Kano.

If you want a better Nigeria, these are the baby steps to achieve that.

Any governor that doesn't know what he wants in the government house will make it easier for his people to see, the moment he's elected to the office.

The energy they're using to wail would have helped them to discuss on how to generate revenues to cover their mess....

I disagree, despite the fact that the northern voters lost 3 out of 7 times. The north are not emotional, they appear emotional now because they are rattled by Tinubu’s reforms. We must separate the Northern electorate and the Northern elite/power brokers. The candidate of the Northern elite has won all elections. Their vote have only won 4/7. The northern voters themselves don’t determine who wins but their politicians are the best at the game so they align with who will win and they will make the deal. Right now for all the noise coming from the North, considering the options of Obi and Atiku, they will realign with Tinubu and make a deal if he runs again because they know ultimately he is the best of a set of bad options for them.

The north are never emotional, when they appear emotional, it’s part of a game plan to mobilize and negotiate for power and they rest and revert to strategic mode. The difference with a certain other group is they remain in emotional mode perpetually.

You're separating the elites from the politicians... which in fact are the same people making the decision for the Northern people.

Also, you agree with me that their politics is with sentiments because whatever strategy they deploy always have themput their emotions in line with their game plan.

Take for instance Shettima who cried to the elites and told them to come sit on a round table with Tinubu and listen to his plans for the North.

Yes, this is applicable to all regions. There is no region who's elites will support a candidate without a take home.

The man stole public funds which made him a thief. If caught, will be accused of stealing and whether as a public servant or as an individual, stealing is stealing.

Using your position to employ incompetent individuals is corruption, whether in public service or private sector. Is corruption and this often leads to the failure of the organisation.

If there is any zone that has the best record in voting for whoever eventually becomes president, it is the SW. out of 7 elections, the candidate of the SW has won. No other zone has a record even close. The candidate voted for by the core North was defeated 3 times. So the record of the core North is actually 4/7. Same for SE and SS. It may surprise people to know that after the SW the zone that has the best record in voting for the winner is the NC.

True, the West play politics with their brain while the North attach too much sentiments and emotions to its political games.

But you have to understand that the two regions always need each other to succeed in every elections.

SW do not have good relationship with the East and but with the South. The South is open to all regions to align with. For election to be completely a success, at least z three political zones must work together.

Corruption is vast and involved collecting kickbacks or giving contracts to your family members or appointing relatives to handle positions meant for professionals.
