valentino98765: Good morning y’all.
Please I was trying to create an express entry profile after I got my IELTS and Wes done. The issue I had was that, after I transmitted my details, it told me I’m not eligible to be in the pool.
But the thing is that, the system is not calculations my total CRS score, it just wrote overall score to be 0. Is this a glitch or what?
My IELTS is LRWS- 8,7.5,7,6
Note I created the first one, I got same thing till I tried with the second profile and I still got same thing calculate your 67 point first. |

njambert: I'm a PR holder without a job after a year, but I am that way partly by my own design. I had enough POF, plus my wife worked for 4months when we got here before going on a year Maternity Live and we live comfortably. However, stakes may change in a few months time if I don't get one. I have really only applied for last 3months out of the 13 I have been here and still not very consistently, mainly because I decided I don't want survival jobs, but upskill really well to get the high end tech jobs( Cloud roles).I have used resume coaches and softwares and I'm getting really good skillwise that even if I lie on the resume, I could still do a very good defense at the interview.
My applications have changed from automatic rejections( likely not passing ATS) to well crafted rejection letters. I believe with grit and patience I will start receiving interviews not too long from now.I am networking and attending conferences, and creating some content on linkedin aswell. If any of you have any more suggestions please let me know. Amen to your prayers. I know you from Express entry thread, lol. In Edmonton, and love homeschooling 😁. I got great connections on LinkedIn, i spoke with about two people that are doing very well within 5yrs, i asked them what they did differently, its been helpful. The last you wrote about your journey, you talked about Cloud Engineering, i hope you find that thing you are looking for soon, its out there. Good luck Man. |

willyblinx: Even when most of you are told, you'd respond with "Make I enter first, we go run am" or " You don Japa, you no want another person to Japa"
Canada required you to have POF. They know the country is not easy thus requested you have enough money that would last you a while. You claimed you had when you sent fake POF. Alas! reality is different.
Next thing, your brother would open a YouTube channel about how Canada is not easy.
Canada is not a place you do " Let's get there first, we'd find a way" if you are hoping on such you better be ready to face it too if it fails. People wey prepare still dey struggle to talk of.
Make your brother still dey apply and stay positive because it can become frustrating. Always remember why he left, his goal or purpose. We pray he finds something soonest. He will, Time will tell. |

I really pity new PR person that will come here looking for encouragement.
He will meet the jobless one,who has become bitter and think his reality is same with others.
The one that doesn't even live in canada, but he is just here to talk down on canada, how so so and so is better, or even how is better to stay in Nigeria.
You don't live in Canada, why are you here? Dont you have work?
Its not easy anywhere right now in the world, the economy is affected everywhere.
People in the US are talking about how biden messed their economy, It wont be hard for most nigerians living there because of their survival skilss.
People in Uk are talking about how its not easy. France also, at least from a personal experience.
If Canada government thinks that there is nothing for anyone anymore, the least they will do is to stop PR pathway.
If you dont have a job,ask yourself what you have been doing wrong. There is something for everyone. My friend coming into Ontario this month, already have two job offers from toronto, dont ask me the salary, what matters is that she did.
Ify got her job within 2 months of moving to Nova Scotia and thats because she needs something better, she would have taken anything.
I can understand students, but PR holders ranting here?
No way.
Like someone said, stop looking for a handout.
Oh, before you say that its my friend my friend, yes, i'm good with that, i have a lot of positive story than negative.
If people can come here and get so discouraged from comments here, people can also get encouraged by people ' stories too.
I called Sarah last night, i told her to avoid this group for now 🤣, as a new PR, here is the last place she should be.
I'm moving to ottawa with hope, my field is kind of different, but i already got recruiters reaching out. |

I want to know if anyone from LASU has successfully gotten theirs evaluated. This is because after inserting my details on their site, Iqas claimed LASU has conditional institution status which means my credentials may or may not be assessed if there’s any LASU alumni who can attest to using their service I’ll really appreciate Or if anyone knows which ECA association is advisable for LLB. Thank you If you have not made any payments, better use CES. About 349 dollars |

Maria96: depends on what accommodation you are seeking. Most landlords will only rent their 2-3 bedroom basement to a family of 4. Do you have a job offer? If not do you have 6 months rent? Most landlords will not lease to you in these times because they dont know when you will get a job ( if you dont have). If you dont have someone on ground that can serve as a guarantor it will be hard getting accommodation while in Nigeria. . Alright, thank you |

However he has experience managing his father’s poultry farm, can he use Agriculture as his primary NOC??
He wasn’t paid as this is a family business. How can we go about it please.
Thank you Yes, he can use Agriculture Noc. His noc fall under supervisor. Check the Noc for Agriculture. Just make sure the farm is registered and annual returns up to date. Your husband know what i meant by that. |

oilyngbati: 1. KLM or Lufthansa
2. For smooth travel, just obey the air hostesses/instructions and ask them for help if you need help.
3. Avoid Egypt air, Turkish airlines, and Air Marroc at all cost, or else,,,,,,,,well, fill in the blank
4, Most airlines check in bags to final destination, just make sure you save your checked-in luggage receipts given to you, in case you need to file for baggage claim if your luggage goes missing.
5. Best days to get air tickets deals are Tuesdays, Wednesday and sometimes, weekends, but Wednesdays are for super deals Thank you so much. You are so helpful. |

leopardinatree: its PPR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! COME AND SEE WHAT THE LORD HAS DONE FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It has been a long journey and i am grateful that it has finally come to an end. I apologize in advance if its a long read. It all began with Wes application in the December of 2022 and my IELTS just about a week after WES application. It took WES the standard 6 weeks processing plus 2 weeks to get my transcripts sent to WES, totaling 2 months.
On the 1st Feb i was ready to create my EE profile and so i did. My IELTS was an overall band 7 and WES was a 3 year bachelor degree, putting me at roughly 320 something CRS especially being that my age was not working to my advantage. With this in mind i quickly sought to increase my scores; french was the only option along with redoing my IELTS to max it the second time around, which i knew i was capable of doing (don't come for me my village people, i know my english language skills ). The reason i didn't do well enough the first time around is because of various factors (but that's a story for another day).
In my state of desperation, i ventured into the idea of going via the study route but i knew carrying my many kids would have been too costly and i think my brain has expired so pulling it off would have proved taxing on my mental health and my pocket. I resolved to abandon that idea after speaking to a friend of a friend in Canada who proved to be pivotal in my journey. She shared with me an email from IRCC promoting the plan to target francophones in the upcoming immigration strategies. I read the email and realized that french was going to be my strategy, not only to increase points but to get the upper hand. By this time, i am already in the pool and looking for a french tutor to reawaken my french language skill as it had been about 10 years since i last took french language courses at Alliance Francaise. I managed to ask around and got a very good french teacher who agreed to do personalized classes/private tutoring to make sure i meet my goal in the short time i had given myself. Soon my teacher was confident in my abilities and encouraged me to make my first attempt. Which i did and didnt do as well as i should have, bringing me back to the drawing board to restrategize; giving emphasis on my weakest points. I fully immersed myself in the language, listening to podcasts, watching movies, listening to french music, (i recommend Lara Fabian and ofcourse Celine Dion). I was once again ready to make an attempt at TEF. I did and the new scores allowed me get a well needed raise to the ranks of CRS 380s. The cutoff at the time was somewhere in the upper 400s and the only thing i could think to do was to redo my IELTS. It was now around October of 2023. I considered the IT course mentioned here a number of times but decided to start with the IELTS retake.
Long story short as i was getting ready to retake my IELTS in Jan 2024, when lo alas, I received an NOI form OINP for the French skilled priority draws. I knew i had to fork out an extra 1500CAD and so i began to amass it. Just as I was working on that, I then received an ITA from the federal french CBD draw thus beginning my journey to PPR. In a nutshell, allow me to share my timeline:
EE profile creation: 1 Feb 2023 OINP ITA : 18 Jan 2024 ( idid not go through with it) ITA: 1 Feb 2024 (just hours before the expiry of my profile... na God oo) AOR: 26 Mar 2024 BIL/MIL : 1 May 2024 BIL linked: 15 May 2024 MEP: 22 May 2024 ADR: 31 May 2024 2nd MIL: 31 May 2024 2nd MEP: 8 Jun 2024 FD: 10 Jun 2024 PPR: 12 Jun 2024
I can only say thank you to everyone on this platform, all questions answered, all the wealth of information, all well wishers, all prayers, all the friends i made, everything and everyone. May everyone be awarded their PPR at the soonest. Special thanks to @honeysweetest, @ednut, @jasperonyx, @graciouswords. To everyone who posts advice on the platform, some questions i did not need to ask as they were already answered in other people's requests for information, thank you for your time and your selflessness. We can't do it without you. In conclusion: Glory be to God, Most High, with Whom all things are possible. He says and He does. Great is His faithfulness and love.
Its with a grateful heart, i sign out. My girl🥺🥺🥺, After you. Congratulations,it's the Lord's doing my darling 💃💃💃💃 |

Nger88: The reality is that it’s just the game of selfishness covered in being politically correct. Look critically into the comments and profile of people taking this news around. You will see either they are already in canada or they know such news will favour them directly or indirectly. No one discourages people or sow seed of lost hope more than those already in the system and wishes it only benefits them. We have all been here before when Canada announced something and still did a surprise draw. Everyone has a phone to goggle whatever news, whether true or not, but this platform is meant to encourage people to keep pushing even if things looked difficult. To all who want to hear, don’t let whatever anyone says in the name of facts or whatever reality discourage you from updating that Ielts score, writing second language, look into category based draws or doing whatever thing even if you are outside of canada. What will be will surely be. When I got my nomination, it looked impossible, people's stories encouraged me, then when glorious heart was active,😁, good news was back to back, we encouraged each other here, because that's all we got. Anything can happen, I disassociate myself with negativity,I don't care how hopeless it's This lady jordin, you won't see her give any contribution, but just say that they are closing this pathway, fiam, she comes running like devil in dark armor 😁, Be hopeful, miracle no de tire Jesus. |
