feaworaoja007:It is very unlikely that you are a good Christian, if you are one at all. Having established that, I'd proceed to say that your post and the previous one lacked paragraphing, juncture features, cohesion and coherence. I was still able to deduce your point because I strenuously read through it. There is nothing more to that! Work on your verbal presentation on public forums such as this. AMORC degrees, like I said, are recognised only within AMORC. AMORC has a University known as the Rose-Croix University International (RCUI), an open University. Members degrees are recognised in this University and are used to appoint lecturers. Going to school or through a school, any school at all, must not be to get a job. That is the mediocre mentality killing Nigeria today. Learning is fun! It is adventurous and enjoyable. Making money off knowledge is the reason why AMORC is not free for all and sundry so that people with such a mentality as you cannot find their way in easily. AMORC is NOT a RELIGION so saying AMORC is my "all and all" is fallacious because I have a religious life outside of AMORC. AMORC is mainly an organisation I am affiliated with! I hope you are now well educated on this.? |
compujyde:You seem to know so well about fishes. Are you a fisher of men? To be very honest with you, AMORC doesn't do what you have inferred in your post. Think positively! Stay Positive. |
selfmadeOLX:I know there is but one Living, True and Infinite God, creating and sustaining all things, visible and invisible, whose essence is diffused throughout the universe and whose mind and consciousness, constitutes the Soul of Man. |
Rosicrucian Creed of Peace by Fr. Ralph M.Lewis I am guilty of war when I proudly exercise my intelligence to the disadvantage of my fellow man. I am guilty of war when I distort other's opinions, which differ from my own. I am guilty of war when I show disregard for the rights and properties of others. I am guilty of war when I covet what another has honestly acquired. I am guilty of war when I seek to maintain my superiority of position by depriving others of their opportunity of advancement. I am guilty of war if I imagine my kin and myself to be a privileged people. I am guilty of war if I believe a heritage entitles me to monopolize resources of nature. I am guilty of war when I believe other people must think and live as I do. I am guilty of war when I make success in life solely dependent upon power, fame, and riches. I am guilty of war when I think the minds of people should be regulated by force, rather than by reason. I am guilty of war when I believe the God I conceive is the one others must accept. I am guilty of war when I think that a land of a man's birth must necessarily be the place of his livelihood. The true articles of peace cannot be legislated but are drawn up in the personal aspirations and conduct of the millions of little people. When all men will frankly perceive their common dependence, an understanding will emerge that will transcend the barriers of time and space, creed and race. War as a condition of mind should be negated. It should not be tolerated;.... As we have said, editorially and otherwise in this magazine—think Peace, live Peace, and show Peace, then War in all its ramifications and material manifestations will cease to occupy a chair of directorship in the government of man's worldly affairs. Contribution to Peace I contribute to Peace when I strive to express the best of myself in my contacts with others. I contribute to Peace when I use my intelligence and my abilities to serve the Good. I contribute to Peace when I feel compassion toward all those who suffer. I contribute to Peace when I look upon all men and women as my brothers and sisters, regardless of race, culture, or religion. I contribute to Peace when I rejoice over the happiness of others and pray for their well-being. I contribute to Peace when I listen with tolerance to opinions that differ from mine or even oppose them. I contribute to Peace when I resort to dialogue rather than to force to settle any conflict. I contribute to Peace when I respect Nature and preserve it for generations to come. I contribute to Peace when I do not seek to impose my conception of God upon others. I contribute to Peace when I make Peace the foundation of my ideals and philosophy. |
AWWWW So sweet. |
selfmadeOLX:That, my friend, is the bane of Nigerian Christianity! It is AMORC, not ARMOC. |
McTobe:That is another way to look at it and it's perfectly normal. That is one thing about mystical teachings, they are open to interpretations but no matter the interpretations, the truth in them is static. The truth in this matter is; 1. One does not need wealth or material things in other to know, worship or serve God. 2. Wealth is not an indicator of spiritual progress and neither is the absence of it such. 3. It is better and easier to know God and develop a healthy spiritual life when one has transcended materialism. Every other thing we say would be mere interpretations to these facts. ![]() By the way, I love the way you think. |
feaworaoja007:I found it difficult to read and understand what you wrote but I'd try my best to respond with what I could see. On the two boldened, which I could make sense of, I'd start with the first. There a myriad of reasons I am in AMORC that have nothing to do with wealth or getting a degree! For one, it makes me smart; I am knowledgeable; I am contented with my station in life; I am happy and know why I am; I am healthy because AMORC has taught me how to live a healthy life; I am not dogmatic, superstitious or ignorant concerning life and how to live it; I am open to other people's beliefs and opinions; I am a better person in everything I do!; I know the reasons why things happen in my life and what I can do to change the course of it. The list is endless. I cant even begin to list all AMORC has made me achieve. Funny enough, we dont believe in testimonies in AMORC but I have ALOT of them. Secondly, you said I am too young. Let me educate you. AMORC membership begins from the Junior Order from 5-15 years, then the Lightbearers stage from 15-25years and in the course of the lightbearer stage, adult membership starts from 18 years. It takes an average of 2 years to read up to Degree 3 in AMORC, 5 years to read up to Degree 9 in AMORC. Learning, however, is continuous. I have been in AMORC for LONG!!! This should sum up your age-bias. AMORC doesn't divide people over age. In fact, a 20 years old could have read far higher and advanced faster than a 50 years old depending on time of entry and dedication to studies. I hope I have educated you. |
yummy001:Thank you for your kind words. You may send a DM. I'd respond as quickly as I can. |
nwakaibeya1: ![]() Ramblings of a troubled mind? |
selfmadeOLX:And who gave YOU the right to AGREE or DISAGREE!!! Why do you feel you or the person you are disagreeing with are right or wrong? Speaking of God's love, even outright idolaters have the love of God! For God's sake, they are his children! Who are you to select whom to love or not? Most of the people and groups most Christians despise actually do love Christians! Its surprising how God's love works, doesn't it? |
indigene:This one is strong o but its your opinion. I wish you the best. |
QueenHeart:Only Christians have been commenting and attacking AMORC here for your information! An average Muslim or Buddhist would rather ignore than comment. That is how tolerant they are! They are simple minded and embrace people of other beliefs. Even Western Christians are like that. But Nigerian Christianity have been so embedded in superstitiousness and intolerance that extremism is a norm. !!! Yet they'll still preach the kingdom of heaven! Do you really think that a child born into Islam, out of no choice of his, will go to hell because he doesn't believe in Jesus? Such naievity. |
Neeson:Thank you my brother! I've always wondered why is it that most Christians (I wont say all because I am one) have problems with other people's beliefs that differ from theirs. I havent seen a Muslim here attacking AMORC. It is still Christians that will go and say Muslims will goto HELL. I almost became a Muslim when I observed all this. I still believe Muslims will make heaven far faster than most Christians! |
Cyriloha: Cyriloha:A Christian INDEED! ![]() Watch what you say. A word, once said, cannot be retaken. Its a law of nature. Whatever you give out comes back a thousand fold. Be a good Christian, speak calmly! Go and sin no more... I forgive you for insulting me. |
feaworaoja007:I found it extremely difficult to understand what you wrote, maybe it'd help if you rearrange and repost it. The boldened is the only thing I made out and I'll answer it. AMORC awards degrees recognised within AMORC such as FRC, IRC, etc. AMORC DOESNT GIVE CONTRACTS. I hope you stop being ignorant and embrace the true path of Christianity because I cant even call you a Christian given the way you talk. Go and sin no more... Im done with you. |
Mackson01:Well done! You came late. Update yourself with what has been going on. ![]() |
McTobe:Somethings are too deep to understand. This was something I discussed in my affiliated body some weeks ago. Someone asked a question on why is it that most wicked people are rich and a higher percent of good people are poor and the person even went further to ask why it seems that people who do evil even get richer. The answer was simple. Wealth and materialism are even obstacles to spiritual evolution. Wealthy mystics usually use their wealth impersonally, this proves that they have conquered such passion. People who are materialistic and run after wealth need to conquer it and in that sense, it becomes a karmic burden in other to teach a lesson and free the soul from unneccessary attachment to the things of the world. |
feaworaoja007:@The Bolded Thank God you have finally negated your initial statements concerning AMORC! Atleast everyone can now see that you were initially ignorant and painted a falsity. Thank God I have corrected that. Im done with you! |
Kposkila:If you dont like the way they do things, DONT JOIN! Dont entice others not to. |
ruffbamreal:Yes. Some churches collect your biodata! Aside that, AMORC is not a CHURCH, neither is it a CHRISTIAN BODY. It is an ORGANISATION! Organisations need to keep statistics on members. Organisations need MONEY to run! In AMORC, members pay for membership and they are given an identification number. Ask anyone who "claims" to be an AMORC member to tender their key number as proof of affiliation. |
Neeson:AMORC has no investiture ceremony, as you put it. Please Note: AMORC does not go to ANY MOUNTAIN for anything. I have never seen a mountain in my life, to my knowledge, and yet I am a member for a lot of years now. Please get your facts right. I dont think it is AMORC, Ancient Mystical Order Rosae Crucis, that invited you to an "investiture ceremony" on a "mountain". AMORC members do not even go out. All activities are done in the affiliated body no matter their nature. So your mountain theory is laughable at best. AMORC is not a knighthood that does "investitures". Please! If you want to know what AMORC does, consult a proper affiliated body in Nigeria from http://amorc.org.ng. Thank you! |
afroxyz:Give me your email let me send you the MASTERY OF LIFE. Later when you are done reading the pamphlet and convinced, tell me your location and I'll hook you up. Take care! |
Cyriloha:There is an old saying ; "it is what you seek that you will find". If you keep looking for skeletons, you just may see one but it may not be that of the uncle. It may be your own in your cupboard. I am tired of how some of you supposedly "Christians" are quick to call names. When you see a spade, fear wont let you call it a spade but when you see a shovel, you call it an axe! Intolerant bunches. |
Cyriloha:IF you say so! . But then again, you seem to know Ogboni so well that you compare it with AMORC, maybe you or your dad is an ex-member too. ![]() |
UNLIMITEDWONDER:It is AMORC and you are new to this discussion. You have 8 pages of words to fill your gap in knowledge. . We've been through it several times already. |
feaworaoja007: ![]() You know nothing about my affiliation with AMORC so dont assume on my behalf... AMORC members that say awake at night to meditate do so on their own. There is no ROSICRUCIAN rule that meditation should be done at any point in time. I can meditate anytime I want. I sleep peacefully at night . Chanting vowel sounds is not sinister. That'd be saying singing worship songs is sinister because our songs are full of vowel sounds, AMORC only extracts the sounds from the songs. The sounds help us relax, meditate and visualise positive things. To correct your impression, being an AMORC member in Nigeria means you have a KEY NUMBER, RECEIVE MONOGRAPHS FROM CALABAR, PAY ALL OUTSTANDING DUES, AFFILIATED WITH A LODGE, CHAPTER OR PRONAOS (OPTIONAL). Please be open to education. Do not presume to know about AMORC when you dont. |
Mekyno:AMORC activities are not secretive. It appears to be so because most people have not gone there to check what is going on actually. AMORC doesnt worship anyone other than GOD! There is no GRANDMASTER in AMORC. What we have is a body of leaders who see to the day-to-day functioning of the organisation administratively. The girl that did thanksgiving was NOT a member of AMORC! I can tell you that categorically. She may have been to our affiliated body a number of times, she wasn't a member. TO become an AMORC member, you have to petition Calabar and wait for upto 3 months to receive your first series of mails. You have to get a key number and progress in reading monographs. That lady was simply using AMORC to cover for something else or she was simply brainwashed by a pastor into believing that she was committing a sin by attending an AMORC affiliated body. |
feaworaoja007:Ignorance is bliss is the main reason you are in your current dilemma. AMORC doesnt impose RINGS on MEMBERS!!! I have said it before and I repeat it. If you dad wore a ring, it was HIS OWN CHOICE!!! Keep being ignorant all you want.! I hope it serves you well in the greater run but please dont let your ignorance say things that make you sound like a miserable fellow in public. |
mbulela:Like I said earlier on, arrogance is a relative concept! ![]() Christianity is a religion fashioned after the teachings of Jesus Christ. It is a messianic religion which mixes earlier Judaism with the teachings of Jesus. These teachings are written in the third person narrative by various disciples and prophets to form what is now termed as the "Holy Bible" which was gathered together and printed under the watch of King James in the early 17th century. Before then, the Bible was simply a collection of various books used by the Catholic church. Christianity espouses Jesus as the way to redemption and everlasting life. It preaches hell, heaven and such concepts as the trinity of God, salvation, grace, forgiveness, love, etc. Christianity is one of the most peaceful religions on earth and members are easy going, simple and lovely. Sadly, most Christians in Nigeria have turned the religion into something else entirely. It has been infiltrated with extreme dogma, swindlers who call themselves pastors, a myriad of churches with differing beliefs, intolerance to even internal dissenting groups, and a whole lot of other things that the fathers of the religion will weep over. I hope all these change! Let us copy Western Christianity and their simplicity! It is well. |
mbulela:Re-read the post. |
mbulela:I have respected your opinion. Still learn to be tolerant to the views of others. If Jesus wasn't tolerant, a religion wouldn't have evolved from his teachings! |
