One person has been confirmed
dead after a helicopter crash
landed into a building in Midtown Manhattan. Emergency crews responded to the incident at 787 Seventh Ave just before 1pm on Monday as smoke was seen from the top of the 54- story building forcing police to order the evacuation of several structures in the area as a
precaution.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has said there is no indication that the crash was intentional. 'If you are a New Yorker you have a level of PTSD from 9/11. As soon as you hear an aircraft hit a a building, my mind goes where the mind of every New Yorker goes ' he said.

There does not appear to have
been any significant damage to the building's structure. The building houses the AXA Equitable Center.
Other tenants include BNP Paribas, Stifel, New Mountain Capital, Sidley Austin LLP, Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP, UBS, and Citigroup.

No details about the person killed has been released, and no
additional injuries have been
reported at this time.

Hundreds of people who
worked in the building had to
evacuate. 7th Avenue is closed
to traffic and the NYPD advised
people to avoid the area.
President Trump was briefed on
the incident and lauded the
emergency personnel who
responded to the scene.

"Phenomenal job by our GREAT
First Responders who are
currently on the scene," the
president said in a tweet.

SportsDid Nigeria Lose Because The Best Players Were Not Given Opportunity? by Jay32(op): 9:49pm On Jun 03, 2019
Editor;

Honestly speaking I was disappointed with the Senegal vs Nigeria match. It was clear the best players were not chosen to represent Nigeria. The fact that Nigerian football federation is riddled with corruption was clearly reflected in this match. The senegalese were far better off technically and mentally and the surprisinthing was that they all looked younger than their Nigerian counterparts.. The right people should be chosen for competitions please!!

SportsFormer Arsenal And Sevilla Winger Dies In Car Accident by Jay32(op):
Former Arsenal and Real Madrid star Jose Antonio Reyes has died in a car crash at the age of 35.

He was with 23-year-old cousin and another man when the vehicle they were travelling in overturned and burst into flames in Utrera, the town where Reyes was born, just outside Seville.   He was reportedly on his way home to his wife and three children after training, having not been picked by current club Extremadura to play against Cádiz tomorrow, according to Spanish media.

Spanish police said they believe Reyes was driving his Mercedes Brabus S550V at 120 miles per hour - some 50mph over the speed limit on the A-376 motorway near Alcala de Guadaira, outside Seville.

The car was completely burned out after it crashed from the motorway and ended up on its roof.

His cousin Jonathan Reyes, 23, a back seat passenger, also died along with a third man called Juan Manuel Calderon who managed to get out of the vehicle but suffered first degree burns to 60 per cent of his body that ended up claiming his life after he was rushed to Virgen del Rocio hospital in Seville.

He was also described locally as a cousin of the footballer, who also played for Seville, Real Madrid and Atletico de Madrid.

Reyes’ Mercedes is said to have gone off the motorway before overturning and going up in flames.

TV footage showed the charred wreck of the car on its roof.

Utrera has declared two days of official mourning.

The town hall said in a statement: 'This morning Utrera-born Jose Antonio Reyes has died in a traffic accident on the A-376.

'Another relative of Jose Antonio’s has also died.

'Jose Antonio has been a much-loved person in our town since the start of his footballing career with Seville Football Club, always carrying the flag for Utrera.”

Utrera’s mayor Jose Maria Villalobos said he felt 'overwhelmed by this sad news and the fact a young person with a family has had his life taken away from him'.

He leaves behind his daughters Noelia and Triana, son Jose Antonio Jr and wife Noelia Lopez, who he married in June 2017.

The father-of-three's cousin Jonathan Reyes and another man, Juan Manuel Calderón, are also said to have been killed in the horror crash at around 11.40am.

Reyes holds the record for the player with the most Europa League titles. He won the competition twice with Atletico and three times with Sevilla.

Tributes have already started pouring in for José Antonio Reyes after the news that the former Arsenal, Sevilla and Spain forward has died in a car accident at the age of 35.
