annayawchee: Today a friend chatted me up and was seeking for advice if it's okay to sell 2 plots of land from the 4 he inherited from his father.. I told him not to sell it cos he is barely 30 and still have a long way to go..
It occured to me that I actually inherited nothing 😂 Everything I have , I've worked so hard for it. .I wondered would my life have been easier if I was left with anything? It's not easy I alway wondered how it feel like being a tenant under constant pressure to pay rent while the landlord keep shifting goal post each year making it harder for tenant. The house I am currently staying with my wife a 3bedroom apartment was given to me by my father of blessed memory not that I can't afford to pay 3 to 4m yearly for rent but been pulling saved income in other business ventures which are also earning me something..with extra cash I can capitalise on opportunities. Not much difference just u have to cut ur coat according to ur size in the end we just need food shelter and good health and extra cash for other necessities. |
Health › Re: Lady Commits Suicide In Ogba, Lagos, Over Financial Struggles by Jayboiii: 12:21pm On Feb 20 |
Kingzjayzee: Source
A Nigerian woman has reportedly died by suicide in the Ogba area of Lagos, leaving behind a heartbreaking handwritten note that has left family, friends and neighbours in deep shock and sorrow.
The woman, identified as Bola, was said to be a staff member at Wado Credit & Co. According to reports, she had been struggling with serious personal and financial challenges before her death.
Those who knew her described her as calm, hardworking and private, which has made the news even more difficult for many people to accept.
Sources in the area said the incident happened at her residence in Ogba.
She was later found unresponsive after allegedly taking a poisonous substance.
Emergency efforts to save her life were not successful.
Authorities are said to be investigating the matter to understand what led to the tragic decision.
What has deeply touched many people is the note she reportedly left behind.
In the handwritten message, Bola is said to have expressed feelings of failure, deep emotional pain and fear about her future.
Though the full contents of the note have not been officially made public, those who saw it said it showed how overwhelmed she felt by her situation.
Colleagues revealed that in recent weeks she appeared withdrawn and unusually quiet, though she continued reporting to work.
Some said she rarely spoke about her problems and often kept her struggles to herself.
Neighbours also said she mostly stayed indoors and avoided long conversations, something they did not think much about at the time.

Romance › Re: Are Men Afraid Of Successful Women Or We Are Avoiding The Real Conversation ? by Jayboiii: 9:59am On Feb 06 |
Dpsychologist: This argument keeps trending because people keep missing the point.
Some say men are afraid of successful women. Others say that’s rubbish and an excuse.
The truth sits uncomfortably in the middle, and that’s why nobody wants to stay there.
Let’s clear one thing first and like the tweet in the image below says: Modern men are not strangers to capable women. We were raised by working mothers, taught by female teachers, managed by female bosses, and went to school with ambitious girls. Female success is not a shock. It is normal life.
So no, success alone is not what scares most men.
But let’s not lie to ourselves either. Some men are intimidated by successful women. Not all men and not most men. But enough to make the conversation valid. If men can feel threatened by another man’s success, why should a woman’s success be magically different? Ego has no gender.
Now here is the part both sides tend to avoid talking about much.
What many men react to is not success, but what sometimes follows it. A change in attitude. Respect quietly leaving the room. Confidence crossing the line into contempt. Independence being used as an excuse to avoid accountability.
At the same time, number of women are actually exhausted. Tired of shrinking themselves. Tired of being told to be less loud, less confident, less visible. Tired of their confidence being labelled arrogance simply because it comes from a woman.
Both experiences are real.
The problem starts when people turn personal experiences into universal laws. “All men are intimidated” is false. “No man is intimidated” is also false.
The real issue is insecurity, poor emotional maturity, and lack of balance.
A secure man is not threatened by a woman’s growth. He is inspired by it. A grounded woman does not use success as a weapon. She carries it with grace.
Confidence is not arrogance. Independence is not disrespect. Success is not superiority.
Marriage is not boxing. It is not power play. It is not a battle for who earns more or talks louder. It is partnership.
Ideal 'Equality' is not about using history as leverage. It is about shared standards today. Empowerment is not exemption from accountability. It is responsibility with power.
If your success makes someone uncomfortable, it might be their insecurity. If your success turns you into someone difficult to live with, it might be your character.
Both things can be true at the same time.
Until we learn to talk about this honestly, without shouting “men” or “women” like war slogans, this debate will keep recycling itself.
Now, who is ready for that uncomfortable honesty? I love successful women whose mind dey ground. |

Career › Re: Neighbors Label Me Yahoo Guy, because I Work From Home. by Jayboiii: 5:33pm On Feb 01 |
Techpik: Happy Sunday guys, this have accusation of labeling me yahoo guy in the compound have happened on many occasions during compound meeting, side talks etc.
But I’m not to be sincere I’m a freelance website developer working from home, I have worked for lots of people even on this nairaland, within Nigeria and abroad at the comfort of my home.
What use to trigger this labeling is because most of my neighbors go out in the morning and come at night and I’m always indoor (at home) living good.
So this have been causing side talks and even confrontations from some neighbors.
Most times I have been explaining and try to prove to them, that I’m a freelance website developer that I worked from home.
Before anybody will think the same on nai.raland, you can check me on google Techpik and all social medias and my site.
You will even see good reviews from people I have completed projects for.
I also need your advice guys, to deal with those neighbors. Your neighbours have abacus brain when the world is already in quantum computing...change ur neighbourhood. |

Eraddray: It's a rubbish advise at the end of the day... loneliness hit different when u're old...from 65yrs upwards...either for a man or woman.. Tho u will face challenges...as long as she's not cheating on u...u will surely find a balance and it's surely worth the stress at the end..cuz anybody wey marry and the wife dey cheat on him...na another man wife he marry oo..no be him wife You are very correct but old age is a very lonely age no matter how rich one is..cos ur children would have their lives to live, they would visit occasionally, most of one's age mate might be dead, ones siblings might also be dead, if u are wealthy which most ppl feel will make them immune to the loneliness associated with old age they think they can employ staff to cater for them but at that age the so called staff see you as a cash cow, looking for every opportunity to steal from u and God help you they don't murder you to steal ur valuables..I have decided anything I am not happy with in my marriage I get it outside after all many things made me attracted to my wife when I eventually found out somethings I didn't like I outsourced it..I love sex but my wife doesn't.. I got one sharp fwb who I call anytime i am in the mood.take care of her needs and she is a good gal. |
