Greetings Jigawa Kofa! I did my registration all in one day..."Monday"....but I applied for redeployment on security grounds, that took me till the next day to get response....I applied for kwara....was posted to enugu.....forget the whole copies of callup letter, statement of results, I.d card....I didn't submit any fotocopy.....but at d end of d reg your call up letter will be retrieved....

So anyone in kd camp now?

What happens to those who end up redeploying to kwara?

skidskid: Also if majority of us in stream 2 are so keen on camping then instead of complaining, protesting or. Rebelling why not look for the best way forward , I suggest contacting the DG urging him to give us 'stream 2'(affected states) preference over the batch C, thus we'll get a months break from our PPA to converge at camp and have a proper orientation by october/november (if the national health emergency has been lifted by then). Because even the batch C will have stream 2. What do u guys say?

I don't see batch C even holding at all....
They might issue all of them exemption letters..
Cos an un-noticed outbreak in any camp means the whole 36 states possible gets atleast 2 infected-from-camp corper entering to share it....unknowingly

skidskid: One of the sad aspects of Leadership involves taking tough decisions... You think camp is play? Studying hw ebola is transmitted it is very clear that cancelling the camp is commendable... During various drills we will definitely sweat profusely, cough, bathe, some people will share others buckets, slippers, even sleep on other bunks etc. Yes maybe the chances of ebola outbreak are kinda slim... But its a good excuse. If they allow us go to camp & God forbids an outbreak occurs at any of the camps then your parents will criticise n blame FG for not cancelling the camp. Better safe than sorry ooo, better to have no camp tales than tell pathetic ones of fear & anxiety. If not for the fact stream 1 were already in camp during the early stages of the discovery they would have suffered the same fate, they are just lucky.... If you unhappy with the decison. WAIT FOR BATCH C then #simple

On d contrary, I'm a lagos based guy, livin not far from iyana ipaja camp, I could have served in lag if I wanted, but I'll b defeating thw whole essence of the nysc, I'm glad you're coming to lag, I wish u d very best, pls do play ur part to keep lag clean and safe.
I love d north, I schooled there. Its a lot more organized n peaceful.

Eiya! What a pity!.... Its obvious the cancellation of the camp was better after all, we really don't need over 1000youths living in close contact with a person with so much vulgar loaded in his mind.
As for the batch C, we pray as a nation that d EVD wouldve been controlled to d barest minimum,
And TECHNICALLY as a graduate, we should all know that if it turns out otherwise, theirs could also be changed or even suspended indefinitely.

There's really no need for "linkages" for redeployment because as prospective corp members posted to the affected states in the North-east, redeployment is free to us, and as announced, we will be given the form to feel for those who want to redeploy....JG is a cool place, but if you're not ok with its location...fill d relocation form in kaduna

As I can recall, the stream1 corpers were
already in camp before the "OutIbreak" of the
EVD, yes Patrick Sawyer(RIP) was in naija
before the camp started, but the "Out-Break"
was after d camp had already commenced.
I would like all of us to see this scenario, we're
graduates,
Imagine say 8lagosians already infected but
with d virus still in d incubation stage in their
bodies, travel to diff camps for d stream2
orientation for 3 weeks(21 days...exact
incubation limit) and maybe on d 18th day they
broke down, won't this possibly mean that
atleast 15% in that camp is infected and also in
their incubation stage, imagine them returning
to their families and friends in diff states,
OMG! That would be a disaster I think, and
while we are hoping for the arrival of the
ZMapp or whatever would be used to curb this
EVD, d FG having asked for d suspension of
pry and secondary school resumption, is asking
we skip d 3 weeks....
We should be thankful, that it wasn't suspended
indefinitely, but we've been considered to just
come and go, I think its logical enough.
And please, this is just my opinion, atleast, I
have that right... Cheers

Yea bro, according to d press release, we'll be given d relocation form there in kaduna. I just don't know if they will drop maybe a list of states to choose from. During our school's orientation for NYSC, we were told Lagos, Abuja, Rivers and Ogun states are out of the possible relocation lists....let's keep our fingers crossed.

And I just read your petition message on the petition site, I think it was made obvious in the recent NYSC press release that security is not the only reason for the re-arrangement, its a measure to control the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) Outbreak.
