Interesting information emanating from Portugal, where it is being reported by Record that Leicester are close to a double deal for Islam Slimani AND Adrien Silva at£50million.The curious detail comes from the strong suggestion that one of Slimani's past investors has a clause entitling him to 20 per cent of any profit gained from his sale, which considering hispurchase price was £300,000 is basically a fifth of the entire fee.To counter this Sporting are apparently trying to phrase the double deal as £38m for Silva, and just £12m for Slimani - even though a deal has been struck for the Algeria striker on an independent basis at close to £30m.The lower price on Slimani would though mean Sporting retain a larger share of his transfer income. Quite what the investor would make of it is another thing. All this is unverified but it would help explain whythe deal has been termed 'very complicated'. |

Manchester City defender Eliaquim Mangala is in Valencia for a medical and now looks certain to move to Spain; his wages had been a stumbling block but an agreement has now been reached. It will be a season long loan. Porto had registeredtheir interest but could not do the wages. |
Seems extremely unlikely that James Rodriguez will be going anywhere today. Madrid’s Columbian is determined to make things work in Spain.Isco is leaning that way too despite the fact that his old club Malaga would love to take him back on loan. Serious interest from Tottenham would change his mind but there is no sign of that yet.Quiet day for Barcelona after spending 103m pounds this summer (rising to 128m with add-ons) No one else leaving either.Last man out the door was Muni El Haddadi who top scored for them this pre-season but went to Valencia yesterday and surprisingly with no buy-back clause.

Mario Balotelli has started medicaltest with Nice ahead of his proposed move from Liverpool. |
Besiktas have confirmed GokhanInler is their player, ending an unhappy time in Leicester for the 32-year-old midfielder. No details have been announced but he is thought tohave penned a three-year deal.Signed for £5m by Claudio Ranieri last summer on £50,000 per week wages, he lost his place to N’Golo Kante and Andy King was preferred too asthe campaign progressed.Inler only made 10 appearances for Leicester all season, mostly in the cup competitions, and as a result lost his place in the Switzerland squad for Euro 2016 despite being the national team captain. He did however earn a Premier League winners' medal after featuring in the minimum five games required. |
Looking very much like Mamadou Sakho will stay at Liverpool even though he has been told he will not play. The France international has now turned a move to Besiktas having previously rejected West Brom and Stoke. |
:Chelsea have had one bid rejected for David Luiz and will go back today. He is unsettled and wants to return to Stamford Bridge. He loved London, with a penthouse flat and viewsof the river. Chelsea may need to get close to £40m, which will mean Luiz will have two of the three highest world fees for a defender. And will still give Chelsea a healthy profit from their sale.He isn't influenced by their lack of European football this season - and is convinced they will return to the Champions League, with his assistance, next season.
