Cuadrado's move to Juventus set to finally go through

Juan Cuadrado's long-anticipated transfer back to Juventus appears to be all set upand waiting to go as soon as Chelsea feel the time is right.Juventus will pay a loan fee of £4.5million and another £17m when the deal becomes permanent next year.The Italians expect to get their man before the market closes but this has dragged on until deadline day when it seemed set and ready to be completed last week.Antonio Conte wanted to keep Cuadrado in his squad at Stamford Bridge this season but the Colombian prefers a move back to Serie A.He starred for Fiorentina before joining Chelsea in January 2014 but was used sparingly by Jose Mourinho and spent last season on loan at Juventus, where he impressed as they won the Italian title yet again.For Conte, who has failed to land so many of his preferred targets during this window, it must feel like another depressing near miss with Cuadrado. One which perhaps sums up his first summer of business at his new club.Conte was in charge of Juve when they were beaten to his signature by Chelsea. Now at Chelsea he faces the prospect of losing him again despite insisting he wanted to keep him.Cuadrado has not played this season and the deal will represent money back for the Londonersand cash to balance some of their summer spending and add to their squad before the deadline.

Federico Macheda has left Cardiff after his contract was terminated by mutual agreement, the Championship club announced on Tuesday.The Italian scored a sublime debut goal for Manchester United in a win over Aston Villa in April 2009 when he was 17, but had six spells on loan before leaving Old Trafford for Cardiff in 2014.Macheda, now 25, had a stint at Nottingham Forest earlier this year, but has now left the Bluebirds with 12 months remaining on the deal he signed two years ago.
