This forum has been a wonderful one for me this year..I got my visa my bro got his a month after and now my parents and sister have got theirs to come visit me and my bro..justwise and co..thanks for all you’re help,suggestions and deliberations on issues that have been raised on here..and May the good Lord help others still waiting for decisions on their applications...cheers

Try mailing your school tonight or first thing tomorrow morning so they can give you an extension letter you will present at POE to the officers checking you that's if your school can release one to you..either you mail them first then call and explain that you just need a letter to explain bla bla bla just incase you are questioned at the entry point

Hahaha..even £100 is enough so far as you will be sent money to your UK bank account when you get one sorted out there..just don't carry so much and don't carry too little..if you haven't settled accommodation then it might not be enough because some landlords/agents request for two months payment or a month and some initial deposit for a house sonif you pay say £350*2 for accommodation you will be left with just £300 and trust me you don't wanna be stranded with cash there because nobody gives anyone even a £1 so maybe top up what you're going with considering the fact that you might get some expenses like duvee bedsheet and other little stuff

Please I'm in a cross road. I applied for tier 4 visa biometric and interview done on 29th with priority and I called them but they said it's in progress. Please how can I escalate my case with UKVI. I need response please. I can't eat again

Today is your 12th working day..don't panic again oh you will get yours maybe today or tomorrow of Monday latest..I paid for priority too and got mine on the 15th working day so just be patient and eat..you have to be alife to enjoy the visa oh

Hello guys, Got my visa today.

Timeline:

Submission-18th of August.
Paid Priority service
Biometrics and interview 22nd August
Sheffield ECO email on Monday the 23rd August
I called UKVI on the 11th of September which was my 13th working day and they told me awaiting decision.
Got TLS Decision mail yesterday,13th of Sept.
Got collection email too yesterday at about 5pm.
Immediately I started tracking the courier delivery as DHL sent me an email to track my package and this morning at about 9:45am, the dhl guys didn't call but came to my estate and I guess the security guys directed them to my place and my dad received my package..I opened and visa granted till 2021
London we are coming
Please everyone still awaiting theirs should be patient and prayerful..And note that delay isn't denial..mine was exactly 15working days after taking off the public holiday held (remember I paid for priority)

I collected my visa today to the glory of God. Special thanks to Question1 for answering my initial question and thanks to the others who posted because I got some valuable information too.

I used Super priority. Also, anyone who came back from the UK after staying for more than 6 months and has stayed less than 6 months in Nigeria does not require a TB test. Hope you guys waiting for your visas are all successful.

I DID MY BIOMETRICS SINCE 17TH JULY, 2017 AT IKEJA VAC, THEY ESCALATED IT ON 7 SEPTEMBER, 2017, STILL NOTHING I CALLED THEM YESTERDAY NOTHING YET, I FEEL THE CALL CENTRE IS JUST A MEANS TO GENERATE REVENUE, THEY ARE IN COVENTRY WHILE THE DECISION CENTRE IS IN SHEFFIELD, THEY ONLY KNOW WHEN A DECISION HAS BEEN MADE WHEN THE UKVI UPDATE. IT SO FRUSTRATING WAITING THIS LONG, AND SCHOOL RESUMES ON THE 18TH SEPTEMBER, 2017.

Hello all, as a new student, what are the important things to take along. I mean in terms of food, clothing, e.t.c do I have to change my entire wardrobe? Can I take my sandals or only shoes and trainers will do. Sorry na the first time am travelling out of 9ja, I be newbie

For foodstuff,if you love making your own meals don't joke with your egusi,crayfish,dried fish,dried pepper and maggi..they are way more cheaper here than down there. And after a while you might get tired of dem burgers and all.
For your clothing, I will suggest you get just a few thick hoodies/jackets here that you can be managing until you get there and then get something of your taste..when I was travelling initially I made a mistake of carrying so much from here and when I got there I ended up not wearing majority of what I bought here..your sandals also might be for summer next year so maybe you could carry it along..
just cover yourself well when you get there..don't form the weather is not so harsh oh..after a short while you will be used to it..

Didn't hear anything till I called UKVI on the 5th of September, they told me a decision had been made.
Got TLS Decision mail yesterday, Monday the 12th of Sept.
Got collection email yesterday at about 4pm.

Picked up at 11am today.

When I held the DHL package, I felt a folded letter inside and assumed the worst; turned out to be a letter confirming BRP collection.

Amen.sure.. I'm going for the DBA program.I really don't know London at all as my Msc was in Bristol so I can't mention places around uni that will be suitable for accommodation but definitely somewhere close to uni and affordable will be the choice I guess.Just praying my visa comes out this week

Priority was £184 that I paid and visa was £355 but i noticed that I was charged about £14 extra for these payments by my UK bank so I don't know if you're doing yours,just get extra money a little above the required total..

Well when I submitted earlier, my collection slip was stapled to a photocopy of my data page. So I took them both like that

TBH I'm so worried about mine,did my biometrics on the 22nd August and priority paid for..going for PhD but from observation today,people who did their biometrics after my own date have gotten decision on their application..I even tried calling the UKVI number here today and they said we are sorry bla bla that my application is still awaiting a decision despite my priority I paid for..I just hope tomorrow I will receive my miracle because I've not slept for a month now

No I haven't called them..I've only been tracking it on tls but nothing yet from them..hopefully it comes out today as it's my 13th working day with priority paid for
