Hello Guys,

My biometrics and interview was done on 22nd August (priority visa paid for) and Sheffield received my application on the 23rd August..since then nothing yet..I think we just have to be patient considering the UK public holiday last week and this weeks (Monday and Tuesday) tls holiday as well.. Remain blessed

I submitted my visa application on the 17th of August, biometrics on 18th Aug. Got Sheffield mail on the 21st Aug....I used priority service.

I've not been able to check the status on UKVI site as my ref no isnt recognized.

Based on the present processing time, when should I expect decision and collection mails? So that I can finally sleep well na...lol

Who shares same timeline please?

You only need to show fees and maintenance for your first year. Since you've fully paid up your 1st year fees, all you need to show is your maintenance cost for your 1st year.
Thanks a lot for your response...I am set to submit my application then

Don't bother yourself with exchange rate fluctuation as long as you deposited the correct amount or even more from day one. You can't control it and you can't keep topping up each time it goes up.

Not a single person i know has been refused because of exchange rate fluctuation since the start of this thread 8 yrs ago.

The only case i remembered was the person who deposited less and hoping that exchange rate dropping will benefit him but he was refused.
Hello @justwise@mimilyrics and everyone here..please I have an urgent question..I am going for my doctorate degree program of 3yrs and I have paid my full 1st year fees to the school.what do I need to show in my bank statement; is it just my living expenses for 9months or or I have to add the tuition fees as well for my 2nd yr and 3rd year respectively..please assist me with this info as I'm yet to receive my CAS from the university so I can know exactly my stand...

This is SUMMER! shocked shocked

Seriously get to a local market (ask where it is) and pick up a good warm coat. High street shops will be expensive.
Out of town shopping areas often have good discount shops. (Again ask where they are.)
Do not look for high fashion just pick the warmest. grin
thanks boss.

Hello friends a brief summary of my experience in the UK so far..Took off from Lagos on the 22nd of this month with KLM 9;35pm flight, got begged and hassled for money by virtually every staff working there (gave immigration pple only1k because the man was kinda elderly and he politely asked me to find him something). The flight had a stop over at Amsterdam for about 3hours before we got into another flight at amsterdam's airport to Bristol intl airport, this time a 50mins flight...lest i forget, what amazed me was the kind of continuous food they kept bombarding us on the first plane.I ate almost everything grin grin except for the chocolate cake that was too sugary. When i got to Bristol, first thing i noticed was virtually 75% of the people here were smoking..I eventually got to my uncles', dropped my bags and headed straight to the school after taking a warm shower...did some registration in school, picked my BRP then stayed around school to attend the Nigerian student network meeting where i met with so many omo 9jas cheesy cheesy..so far so good, its been great here except for the cold that's already getting to me and people keep saying the cold hasn't started

House I got this mail today. It's two weeks yesterday I submitted d visiting uk app for my daughter and wife at Vi centre. They both got d mail .please what could be the cause of delay.
@justwise @ogreene @ iblaw and other great gurus

Dear ××××÷×
Hello I got the same mail say tuesday last week.it got me really worried and in ddey thought for some days but 3days afterwards I got a decision on my visa application and on monday I got my visa...so my advise to you is just to relax..u think the reason for the delay is because they are still verifying your documents....because a day after my sponsor got a call from them was when I got a decision mail...so just be prayerful and hopeful

Thank you for applying for a UK visa. Your visa application has been received and is under consideration. We aim to process non settlement applications within 15 working days (unless you have opted for the Priority Visa service), and settlement applications within 60 working days.

Unfortunately, the processing of your application has not been straightforward and we will be unable to decide your application within our customer service targets. We are continuing to work on your application and aim to make a decision as soon as possible.

We will write to you again if there is any change to this. Please do not attend the Visa Application Centre until you have been advised that your application has been decided and that your passport is ready for collection.

Kind Regards,

No she has to book a medical appointment first. Once you book the appointment and go for the 7:30 am test, you will get the result tat same day. Thats for the one in Lagos though.
if you say so then..it's totally different in abuja as you have to take your certificate the day after you do ur TB test except u approach the doctor and explain/plead
to him that you have visa interview the following day and he will tell you to come by 5pm of the day you carried out ur test..
