No, it wasn't. I don't think you have read the comic — I think you read the plot someplace else. The comic was based on the "normal" universe — in fact, there is nothing like a normal universe, because they all are there are numerous universes and all of them are "normal" to those who inhabit them, you would know this if you had read the comic, it was explained there.

The Punisher's DNA is also altered in the Ironman and Punisher against the World arc — He had healing factor.

1. Names — Iron-man/Batman
2. Skill set — Both of them rely on their intellect and high tech gadgets they possess
3. Both of them have no superhero abilities
4. They are both stinking rich
5. They both have butlers/sidekicks— Jarvis and Alfred
6. Both of them have African American friends who assist them — Lucius Fox and Rhodey
7. They are both member of a superhero organization — Justice league and The Avengers
