Graviton2: The logic holds, man. Check what possession means in sense as relative to what's been going on Naruto.

They were indeed possessed by Naruto, hence some of them started exhibiting unlike characteristics e.g Rock Lee who couldn't do Ninjutsu began doing so temporarily under the influence of Naruto/Kyuubi's power — same logic is evident in Kakashi's case as he couldn't activate the Susano'o but under Obito's influence he made not just any susano'o, but a perfect one at that.
