I really appreciate and value of response. The dish in Question is not motorised, i would have preffered to have a shot of the dish u know the protocol in barracks u can come in with camera.

I beleive the focal length is okay. Tracking NSS7 at 97% means its okay (is that not so)

As i told u the barrack is beside my office and am not the installer, i only had pitty on the guy because he won the contract with ZERO experience and all other installers ran after days of fruitless effort and soldiers kept on asking o'boy which day u go finish.


It was only my friend who hit green with 48-51% which is still not enough.

Thank u for ur quick response. It is a fibre dish, i believe it was abandoned to years and it was used for Analog signal meaning it is a communication Fibre dish.

The depth of the dish is not as that of recent fibre dish.Just last week it was re foiled and repainted.

Supermax LNB is used onthe dish.

What could the fault be.

Am a bit confused, beside my office an installer was trying to nail NILESAT for the past two weeks . I move closer to gain from him,from what i saw they could not nail a single bird.

I contacted a friend who came and nailed it. The quality attained was just 48-50% danggling. The dish itself is 4. something metres, and when we tracked NSS7 on it was 97%. Although it was used for analog signal by the military. Am confused, i dont know what next to do.

I need expert advise

One getting home on Saturday i notice that my 2.4 pan dish had been tampered with. After coming back from chuch on sunday, i resume duty. I started by tracking NSS7 for confirmation of adjustment on LNB which hit 97%, after that i tried to lay my hands on W3a, i was confused on its location. After much effort i turned back to Nilesat position, i was surprised Nilesat did not come up again.

Had it been i got it i would have used thesame opportunity to search for W2.

My prayer, i would like u my Lords to give me the strongest T.Ps for ,W2,W3a, Nilesat and each location from DSTV.

From the way i see the pictures u posted, it will be easier to hit Nilesat the only thing giving u problem could either be the base (the base u constructed to lift and hold down your dish).

When you are using Pan dish to track satallite u have to drag it back, forth and left, right. U can call me today and lets discuss at length.

How u dey, George u wont believe on sunday i tried to track ASTRA2b and others it wasnt going throgh. It on breath and neva came up.

It was a bad sunday, had been doing this and it always pops up but last sunday was exceptional.

In addition to what Ibaku had just said, i will like to say you can board bus going to ALABA INT'L from MILE 2.

When u get there u need not to be told that u are in ALABA. When u get there try as much as possible to do away with all these MIDDLE MEN (BARANDA), who might come ur way. Take enough time to look around for ACCREDITED DEALERS.

When u get to a shop, u may know an accredited dealers by the way the shop is set up and through INFLOW and OUTFLOW of customers and other things which u would see there.

The most inportant thing is to try as much as possible to ask them questions on things giving u concern most, cos they,re in better position to give u clue on what and what are good for u (if only u mean sincere ones)

Ore u dont need to rush yourself. For now try to track less wahala one like D**TV and H*TV once u can hit green with ur strong decoder on that, u can the proceed to ASTRA 2B.

Which is a bit higher than DSTV then to ur right, standing at the back of ur dish.

Remember u dont rush when tracking, u take enough time to calm urself even wen u have not hit green.

Point of correction Intelsat 7/10 for 90cm can be tracked on Ku band

I mean Intelsat 7/10ku band not C band.

Hope u copy that.

With your 90cm dish you can track intelsat 7/10c, Astra 2b, Sirus 4, NSS 7 Ku band,W6,W3 and many more.

You asked a good question, i myself have inverter of such nature. With my research for effective, efficent, reliable and durable life span of ur battary i would advise u to use charger to charge your battery instead of depending on the the inbuilt charger.

I want u to clearify the differences and advantages Deep cycle battary have over Heavy duty trailer battary.

If u could sent pictures of Deep cycle battary, i will appreciate that. Many people had not for once heard DEEP CYCLE battary, i heard it for the first time when u mentioned it here.

Right now am about buying HEAVY DUTY TRUCK battary 150AH, (wet cells). I told the seller to hold on till u reply.
