I like your confidence. I would not comment on any post in a forum I am barely a month in. Many of us have been very silent in this group but I think It is high time we told our people the hard truth. Endlessgrace: |
Be sure you have thought it through before investing those millions. Much respect for @justwise, but feel free to ban me if you are very sure my comments are not true. |
Make sure coming to the UK is your last option. Thank me later. |
Hello house! I have two questions; 1. I have not arranged any accommodation. How do I say if they ask if I have arranged for accommodation during the interview? 2. How do change my maintenance money in naira to pounds? Thank you guys in anticipation. |
Just got CAS from SHEFFIELD HALLAM UNIVERSITY. Any one going this January? |
Thank you guys for the advice, especially OlowoB. I have decided to consider my January entry offer from Nottingham Trent. I believe this will give me enough time to prepare and save myself of unnecessary pressure. As for those that have travelled or are travelling soon, may God be with you. We will soon meet over there. As for those that do not have the means, remain steadfast and fervent. If you believe there is a God, continue praying. God bless us all. |
OlowoB:Thanks man. Still on it with them tho. |
Guys I'm having some issues here. JMU Liverpool just told me they cannot extend the latest date of enrolment for me because the money in my account is just 10 days. The only bank statement i can have access to now is that of my sister and uncle, and I'm very sure they will be willing to write letters for me. I also have family pictures to prove this. What do I do? So confused right now. |
worry359:I hope they do. |
OlowoB:I was to resume before 20th of this month. I am behind schedule because I was waiting for a scholarship. I am saving towards that 1-day priority because I have only had my maintenance fees in my account for just 8 days. If everything goes well, I should be in the UK by October ending (by God's grace). |
umarwy:Nice! Please can we discuss personally? I need to know somethings especially about accommodation. My email...... adeptenes@yahoo.com |
Hello guys, this group has been insightful and I appreciate every active member for that. I have some questions: 1. Is the TB test compulsory? If yes, can I go for it while waiting for CAS? (my CAS will come today or tomorrow) 2. Can I do the test at any tertiary hospital like National Hospital, Abuja? I have many more questions but that will be after the receipt of my CAS. BTW, I am going to JMU, Liverpool, anybody with me? Anybody on how I can get cheap rooms around city centre Liverpool? Yeah, cheap rooms because I purchased all the GBP I used to pay my tuition fees from Abokis around Sheraton Hotel, Abuja. 'I SAY MAKE I PITY MY PARENTS SMALL' |
I want to apply for M.Sc. ENVIRONMENTAL TOXICOLOGY AND POLLUTION MANAGEMENT this week. Is the portal still open? |
I am a graduate of Biochemistry (4 point) and I want to do Pharmacy in this University. Please how much is the tuition fee? any scholarships? |

MY EXPERIENCE AT BRITISH COUNCIL ABUJA TODAY I tried to make payment for IELTS online last week, but Zenith bank refused me, so, I decided to get a bank draft of 52k. At exactly 08:20 today, I was already in the British Council Abuja Office. The lady in charge told me many things and I want to share with you guys. She said the only IELTS result recognised by UK now is IELTS for UKVI. This took effect from April last year, that I would be denied UK Visa if I present the normal IELTS result (except for degree programs). There is no major difference between the two IELTS results, it is only in the nature of the result sheet and the fee. The normal IELTS is 52k while the IELTS for UKVI is 64k. Anybody with a sound knowledge of UK Visa and Immigration laws should enlighten us more please. Read here http://www.ielts.org/test_takers_information/ielts_in_the_uk.aspx |

Its so funny that some people here talk with authority, as if they work with FSB or even CSS. See, its all political and the earlier you realise the better. I left the interview venue after all the stress of accreditation because one of the interviewers was busy collecting some selected people's contacts, I begged him to collect mine but he blatantly refused. I still pray for all of you guys here. I hope you guys applied to Chevening because it is more transparent and you have nothing to do with Nigeria. Thank you and God bless. |
Good luck to you guys that persisted. After the stress on Thursday, I pulled out. I wish I knew the whole thing was going to be like this. If they could not organise the interview properly, is it the nomination they would organise well? Don't you think those panelist have children, grandchildren, friends or even enemies among us?. Just my take and I wish all of you well. |
This is for you guys at home. Some of us just arrived at Nanet Suits after a long wait for accreditation at the Ministry of Education Annex since morning. A lady came out to tell us that they have been working on those of yesterday. Everything is just too stressful, please come prepared. |
heo88:I doubt....u can still try bro. |
I pray for devine intervention in the nomination process. I just read from a thread that 'connection' really counts in the process. May God connect us all. |
