Mrs Odinankpa Nene Regina, mother of Mr Odinankpa Cornel Kachukwu, was on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at about 6pm "kidnapped" from her Iru Nebo village home, Enugwu-Ukwu, Njikoka local government area of Anambra state.
Kachukwu, aged 27, is the second-in-command to the missing Director of GSS Security Company and Vice-chairman of Dubai Estate, Awka, Mr. Benjamin Ezenma, popularly known as, "Big Ben" among his admirers. Big Ben has been missing since November 12, 2024.
Earlier that fateful day, Big Ben had kept a business appointment with the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Mango and Properties Limited, Awka, Ozo Jeff Nweke. The meeting was held at the latter's company's corporate headquarters located adjacent a commercial bank along Chief S. M. Okeke street, Awka.
After his meeting with Ozo Nweke, Big Ben had safely returned to his hotel room at Maxbe Continental Hotel located opposite Udoka Housing Estate's main gate, Awka, along the popular Enugu-Onitsha Expressway.
Big Ben, according to his wife in a statement she made viral on social media platforms, was later at about 6.18pm on that fateful November 12, gone to keep another meeting appointment with "loco". Since after this latest meeting appointment, Big Ben got missing and has not been seen till date.
Ozo Jeff Nweke and his close associates have been fingered and are being hounded by the Department of Security Services (DSS) in connection with Big Ben's sudden disappearance.
Eminent indigenes of Ozo Jeff Nweke's Ezinano community of Awka, the Anambra state capital city have unequivocally described the allegations against him as a frame up. They described Ozo Jeff Nweke as their "illustrious son and a great philanthropist". He cares for the widows and champions the course for the youth empowerment. He fights crime.
The eminent Ezinano people which included professionals of repute, therefore advised security operatives to carry out a diligent investigations into the allegations against Ozo Jeff Nweke in connection with Big Ben's kidnap case to avoid any "miscarriage of justice ".
Interestingly, latest revelations concerning Big Ben's missing are strongly pointing to a possible conflict of business interests or betrayal amongst the Dubai Estate management team.
The Sunday February 9 arrest of Kachukwu, his second-in-command at the GSS Security Company was in connection with this latest revelation.
Since last December after Big Ben got missing, Kachukwu has been conspiring with the Chairman of Dubai Estate, Mr. Chukwudi to change certain documents relating to the business to shut him out of the business.
Following the shocking discovery, the security operatives have decided to turn their searchlight on what happened to Big Ben to his co-business management team.
But Kachukwu who is seen as one of the principal subjects was said to have been living in hiding since December.
The security operatives were said to have decided to use his mother as a bait to smoke him out. So, they decided to use the Sunday, February 9 alleged kidnap of his mother to perfect their plans.
The security operatives were said to have disguised as kidnappers, as they stormed Kachukwu's Iru Nebo village home, and, picked his mother, Nene Regina, to an unknown place. Kachukwu's family member said their mum was whisked away at about 6pm.
His mother's abductor, however, were said to have later the same day at about 8pm, called Kachukwu on his mobile phone, and told him to come and pick his mother at a certain location.
Before going, Kachukwu was said to have gone to the Nimo police station in company of some of his uncles. Two unarmed policemen on mufti were said to have been detailed to accompany Kachukwu and his uncles.
On arrival to where his mother was being kept, the security operatives were said to have freed Kachukwu's mother; and rather arrested him. Though his family members initially thought he was exchanged for his mother by his suspected mother's kidnappers, they were, however, later informed that he was under the custody of the security operatives.
His arrest was said to have been responsible for the sudden adjournment of the scheduled arraignment of Ozo Nweke and two others in a High Court of Anambra state, sitting in Awka on Tuesday, February 11, in connection with Big Ben's missing case.
It was learnt that the circumstances leading to Kachukwu's arrest gave a fresh insight into the actual cause of Big Ben's travail. The prosecution, therefore, wants to properly investigate the case so that the real suspects would be charged to court.

Use oil and gas revenue from Imo West to pay for your Etiti State is your scheme. FYI, Njaba state was about to be actualized for the same people in Imo west and parts of Anambra south in 2006. It was the first to be asked for at the National Political Reforms Conference in 2005/2006. It was the first to be mentioned as Orlu state in the present National Assembly. Why do you think it has always been the first to be mentioned for state status, if not that Nigerians know that Imo west and parts of Anambra south senatorial districts must form any 6th state for the southeast?

Rep. Ogah who sponsored the motion for Etiti State creation which has already passed a second reading at the House of Representatives, pointed out that the proposal enjoys wider acceptance and support of both lawmakers and the masses.
The National Assembly member who commended President Tinubu for his bold step towards addressing Igbo marginalisation , urged his constituents to key into the Etiti State movement, which he traced to late Senator Uche Chukwumerije and other illustrious sons of the area.
From the way it is drafted, 11 LGAs were picked from the current five states with each of them donating two LGAs except Enugu that has three. In Abia, we have Isuikwuato and Umunneochi; Anambra has Orumba North and Orumba South LGAs; Imo has Okigwe and Onuimo LGAs; Ebonyi has Ivo and Ohozara; while Enugu has Aninri, Awgu and Oji River LGAs “

abuzz33: Let's think constructively. The reality is Soludo needs to improve his project planning, budgeting and management. The Amusement park in awka is over 2 years now. The reconstruction of the 3km Oby Okoli avenue is 2 years. The government house complex is over 3 years. It ahould not be but its because he is using an outdated method popular in Nigeria where you pay as money comes in rather than in bulk.
This is why infrastructure projects in Nigeria take decades. The second Niger Bridge was designed in 2004 or 2005 but no real work took place until 2017. That was because Uche Orji at the NSIA figured out a better funding model by seeking counterpart funding from development agencies and private investors in setting up the presidential infrastructure fund.
ANSG should have sought creative funding options for its projects. For example the Amusement Park really should be a PPP and designed 100% by experts not partly by ParkVega and Anambra govt officials. The government house complex should have been constructed in phases the way Abuja was when ministries were moved from Lagos to Abuja.
Anyways we can only pray that Soludo can complete these projects to a high quality standard.
