My administration has performed well –
Aregbesola

Osun State Governor, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola, said
on Tuesday that his administration had performed
creditable well despite its inability to pay some
workers in the state for the past seven months.
According to a statement made available to our
correspondent in Osogbo on Tuesday by his
media aide, Mr. Semiu Okanlawon, the governor,
who scored himself high, spoke during a courtesy
visit to him by Osun Action Strategy and
Development Group.
He, however, said he was pained by the inability of
his government to pay workers, but also
sympathised with workers while assuring them
that the hardship would soon come to an end.
The statement read, “Despite the financial
shortage, even the most virulent critics of this
government cannot deny that the administration
has performed creditably well.
“This government built roads, schools, supplied
students with Opon Imo (Tablets of Knowledge)
distributed uniforms to all public students in the
state, created welfare programmes for the old and
vulnerable people as well as support farmers.
“No state has done what Osun did in the area of
security, which today has totally checked crimes
and other anti-social activities in the state. Huge
amount of money was committed to purchasing
armoured personnel carrier and ambulances,
which are strategically located in the state and
responding to distress calls round the clock.
“If all the programmes with the huge cost involved
are factored into the accrue-able revenue to the
state, it will be crystal clear why the state is where
it is today.”
Describing the situation as an economic tragedy,
he attributed the current misfortune to gross
mishandling of the nation’s economy by the last
regime of the Peoples Democratic Party.
He stated that the unchecked oil theft under the
PDP, in which the nation was losing 400,000
barrels per day, culminated in drastic reduction of
oil price in the international market.
This price fall has created for the country a
tragedy of huge proportion that translated to
economic disaster, pains and agony for the
workers across the country.
Aregbesola stated the state collected N5 billion
as monthly allocation in February 2013 but the
allocation drastically reduced to a mere N540
million in April 2015.
He said further, “As we are trying to find solution
to this challenges, we must not also run away
from what brought us to this situation.
“For those who think this is an opportunity to
pillory us in this economic condition, I pity them.
Only God does not fail. We shall overcome; we
shall recover from this challenge. I sympathise
and feel for the workers. I appeal to them to bear
with us as we work assiduously to end this
problem. I assure them that the period of agony
will soon be over.
“It is disheartening for people to work and such
work fails to translate into wages. It is a
harrowing experience for both workers and
government.
“The challenge of unpaid salaries should not be
seen as opportunities by some to pillory either the
government or any others facing the same
challenges.”

How do you tell what is true?
That's why Lucifer is a father of lies. it's impossible for Lucifer to say the truth because Jesus is the Truth.

Consider this piece friend:
Good evening beloved, I was engaged in a
discussion with one of our church member today
(11/02/2015) & she narrated a vision she saw on
7th Feb. 2015 to me. I knew that the coming of our
saviour is very imminent. " I saw myself in a big
hall, either to write exam or to receive lectures and
suddenly I saw my sister makes a transaction with
some girls and they gave her money but the money
is unclean according to the scene. She gave me the
money and I took it. Afterward, I went into a room
and I saw a bell hanged but no string held it to the
ceiling. The bell was jingled few mins I entered into
the room and immediately heaven was open, men
changed and started moving upward. The people
that was raptured were very few. Some even gets
white garment to cover themselves but nothing
happened. Not to long someone came to her to ask
if there is a tatoo on her arm? She said no and they
told her to get one. The sun withdrew and
everywhere became dark, stars were falling and
everywhere turns to darkness."
Hmmmm! Beloved, don't joke with the coming of the
Lord Jesus. He will soon appear. We are in the very
last days of the last day. Enjoy your night.
Maranatha.

One of the failed promises in the bible. See the verses below:
Matthew 16.28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.
Evidently, everyone in that congregation Jesus was referring to had died long-long ago.
Matthew 24.33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
24.34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
There again! Another failed promise! All generations present in the time of Jesus has all died. I know some folks will come here to rationalize these failed promises so let me bring out more verses from their bible:
Even the early appostles believed they will be alive and witness the rapture, just as you believe right now.
1 John 2.18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
Lol^^, that scripture was written 2,000yrs ago about anti-christ already being in existence and that it was already the end of time. Sounds familiar? Yes! Same thing we're hearing now!
1 Peter 4.7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
^^Thats bro Peter. Who else is remaining? Opps, Paul! His own was even more embarrassing.
1 Thessalonians 4.16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
4.17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
^^Looolll!!!! Paul was so sure that he was gonna be alive to witness the rapture! Allelujah somborriii!!!
Now let me sit back and watch them try to rationalize this.
But what of 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

I came to a point in life and I resolved to sing more of hymns than the new songs We are singing nowadays because of the life in those songs. Let's share the most inspiring hymn that our spirit enjoyed most.
hymn by Charlotte Elliott

My God, my Father, while I stray
Far from my home in life's rough way,
O teach me from my heart to say,
"Thy will be done."

Though dark my path, and sad my lot,
Let me be still and murmur not,
Or breathe the prayer Divinely taught,
"Thy will be done."

What though in lonely grief I sigh
For friends beloved, no longer nigh,
Submissive still would I reply,
"Thy will be done."

If Thou shouldst call me to resign
What most I prize -- it ne'er was mine:
I only yield Thee what was Thine --
"Thy will be done."

Let but my fainting heart be blest
With Thy sweet Spirit for its Guest,
My God, to Thee I leave the rest;
"Thy will be done."

Renew my will from day to day,
Blend it with Thine, and take away
All that now makes it hard to say,
"Thy will be done."

share your own hymn.
