•Dr Bukola Saraki, Senate President The Senate Tuesday began its plenary on a dramatic note as 81 Senators passed a vote of confidence on Senate President, Abubakar Bukola Saraki and Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu. The sudden vote of confidence on the leadership of the Senate which was unanimously adopted by Senators in the chamber appeared to be the anti-climax. The much anticipated showdown on the floor of the upper chamber failed to come to pass. The motion for the vote of confidence was sponsored by Senator Samuel Anyanwu (Imo East) and 80 others. Out of the 81 Senators, 35 are All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmakers while 46 other supporters of the motion are Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) platform. Anyanwu in his lead debate noted “with dismay the continued harassment of the Senate and Senators, the National Assembly Management and spouses of Senators by security agencies of government.” He said that the Senate is determined to continue to perform its constitutional duties and responsibilities without fear or favour. Anyanwu also said that the Senate is resolved to focus on matters of interest and importance to the ordinary people of Nigeria in view of the enormous challenges facing the nation. He added that; “considering the sustained interference in the internal affairs of the Senate by detractors and media propaganda against the Senate and Senators by selfish politicians.” He prayed the Senate to resolve to pass a vote of confidence on Senate President, Saraki, Deputy Senate President, Ekweremadu and the entire Senate leadership as presently constituted. The three prayers were unanimously adopted. Anyanwu also prayed the Senate “to call the Nigeria Police Force and all other security agencies in Nigeria not to allow themselves to be used by any person or persons to harass, intimidate or blackmail the Senate, Senators and or their spouses.” The prayer was equally unanimously carried. Saraki did not allow the motion to be debated. He said that since 81 Senators endorsed the motion, there was no need for further debate. The Deputy Senate Leader, Senator Bala Ibn N’Allah who took a bow on behalf other members of the Senate leadership said that they are resolved to work to justify the mandate given to them. N’Allah noted that the leadership of the upper chamber is poised to carry every Nigeria along as well as to do the needful in the interest of the country. He thanked those who supported the vote of confidence and assured that the Senate leadership would reflect the confidence vote in all decisions in the Senate. http://thenationonlineng.net/senators-pass-confidence-vote-on-saraki-ekweremadu-others/

Former Minister of Information, Prince Tony Momoh in this interview speaks among others on the import of President Mohammadu Buhari’s visit to the United States of America and the deals high- wire politicking that landed the All Progressives Congress at the presidency. On Ekweremadu The House voted in Ekweremadu as Deputy Senate President. We thank God that David Mark did not emerge the Senate President because they would have said that it is constitutional. We should give kudos to Tinubu because of his role in the influence that brought the PDP governors into APC. He wooed Saraki and Atiku and he knew how he went into the PDP and played all those games. I would tell you that two politicians that should be respected most in Nigeria today are Tinubu and Bisi Akande. But I will also blame Tinubu for the crisis because having brought Saraki, Atiku and the five governors, you should know that it is not proper to think that Saraki, Dogara, Atiku, Kwankwaso will ever still be thinking of being PDP in APC. No. None of them is PDP any longer and they will ever remain APC. So, they should be so treated. What we owe Nigerians is delivery on our change mandate. www.vanguardngr.com/2015/07/apc-was-lucky-david-mark-didnt-emerge-as-senate-president/#sthash.MMep2YY4.dpuf |

Op, God bless you for that. we are in a generation that play with sin. Only the very elect will be saved. Perilous time! Run from the corruption of this present world. flee every appearance of evil. Jesus Christ is coming back. |
Hmmmm! That's a great idea but there should be a regulations of school fees across the nation. if a student applied to federal university due to school fee rate, such student will be encouraged to accept the choice given to him by JAMB if the fee is the same. But When the student can't afford the fees from the new institution, it will be a total discouragement. NUC, FEDERAL GOVERNMENT & UNIVERSITY MANAGEMENT SHOULD RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM. |

Jehovah Tailoreee... The Lord that fixes me.
On Saturday I urgently needed to fix my suit
trouser as I needed to appear LIKE a Man of God
where I was to speak that day. I took the cloth to
my tailor and asked him to fix the LITTLE opening
near the pocket.
The guy turned the cloth inside out and then began
to TEAR the pocket with his hands... Hah, I was
like I said you should sew not tear... So I shouted
o 'You are tearing my cloth o' but he replied "I
KNOW".
Those two words sank into me like a heavy stone
sinks in water.
I couldn't talk again... He's the tailor, and I'm just
a customer. Even though I couldn't relate tearing
with sewing but the Tailor says "I KNOW".
Child of God I bring you good tidings today... God
is saying 'I KNOW'
I hear your complaints and I also hear His reply.
Father,
My fiancee just left me... I know
I have no man to pay my fees... I know
I was rejected at the embassy again... I know
So many times when the Lord is fixing us, He starts
by 'tearing' us.
Tearing our confidence in ourselves
Tearing all our philosophies
Tearing our pride and fake humility
Tearing the things we call dear and giving us the
truly dear things.
The only thing necessary is wisdom...
Wisdom to know when it is the Lord and When it
isn't the Lord...
The devil tears to kill
God tears to Fix
God tears the old to give you the new
God's teary fire only refines His own
God's teary approaches only yields the peaceable
fruit of Righteousness.
So in reality God tears no man... He only makes...
We call it tearing, He calls it Making
We call it breaking... He calls it building
He knows you have need even before you ask...
That's why when we complain... He responds thus:
I KNOW
Jeremiah 29:11 For I KNOW the thoughts that I
think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of
peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Trust God...
My cloth came out better
You are coming out better too
You Win
