I have never supported cng. I have always had a 1.8L engine on the platform. This is the first time I'm going higher to a 2.5L in my 09 sexy Rav . Yes my profit would go down from the 12 Corolla to Rav but at least I don do dis hustle sotey I don settle small make I dey relax not knowing this shit will come up. I can easily sell my Rav and buy a yaris 2014. That car dey enter my eye but I have e also don research on cng. I knew gazzuz personally for some years as he was my mech from wen I was in corporate world and as much as I loved him and trusted him for his meticulous work EVERY TIME I was convinced by him on cng . So I'm not speaking lightly and I'm not trying to convince anyone. Please let's end this discussion on cng. Me I will sha bring update here wen ever I do it or change my car to yaris . Point is we must adapt until that desired change comes and if we adapted so well even wen d change comes cause it will, our adaptability will further favour us even beyond our imaginations. The money for cng no be beans and I go hustle am on this job. Peace and light ooo |

abefeabebi: One thing I want people to know about CNG, is the state of individual engines before conversion and also the technicians that handle the conversion. As it is now what do we do with the price.?During strike many drivers still work and the app no see any reason to effect changes, but if ALL drivers comply,I bet u even FG will intervene. E hailing is a big stakeholder in Nigeria economy. Many people bank on us,but we don't seems to know our importance That's the most painful part. I was here during d strike and a lot of driver here worked. Does who are complaining about cng won't also strike. For me if 70% of driver strike it will be more effective than marching into their office. Indrive wey no get office nko D union is powerful but some people here said Dem no dey union. I agree prices must go up but since we are not serious yet find ur way. Adapt and evolve cause all dis complaining won't work. As long as some people even if it's a select few are making money in a business that business will never close even if 80% are not making money. Someone said ehailing will die in Lagos. How. That so immature and I wonder how anyone would think such. Lagos will thrive if u like complain from now till ones gets old. I pray God blesses me with a kit or a small engine car. Times have changed and we must be willing to change with time |

So I buy yaris 1.5L and cause I'm driving on ehailing d engine will park up cause I'm using water to oil it? I just shake my head bro. Look do u. As long as ur networth is increasing e hailing has helped me. We r all here to share experiences. I have earned very high and very low but in all consistency is key. I knew GAZZA well and as much as I trusted him d cng thing didn't convince me. Now his late I'm convinced cause dat dude I knew never compromised on quality and if he knew ultimately cng would damage a good car he won't be involved in it. Kaymax2222: so the thing is many people who did it at the early stage regretted because then those doing the conversion are not yet perfect and there is little technology know how but right now I believe things have improved so do it and this is where I will advocate for Honda Civic more you can easy buy another engine before doing the installation the engine no pass 300k and if you swap with your old engine it's even less by 120k Spoke to an engineer from Ibile Oil and he said this exactly. Blamed centers in Ogun State esp that dey rushed to do it at that initial stage without full approval over safety issues. But that now it has been perfected. I will do surveys at other stations if dey r dis advantages dey won't lie. U will see this regret in their faces and if dey truly regret y Dem never dekit . Is their hand tied abi Dem swear oath as pearl talk say some wey hand don burn no fit disclosure does that even make sense. How will I spend my money and I'm not satisfied and yet I won't raise alarm to the next man. The product is good just stand in the queue next time and see the peace on the faces of drivers buying cng . It's out of this world abi isn't it. How much is it again compared to fuel ?hehehehe |

Gentlelife50: And I met one today that was saying he didn't install CNG because many of them are regretting, that in the long run you will regret.
He was very angry and saying that they didn't tell them the disadvantages, like the engine pressure will reduce, that sometimes the korope doesn't start in the morning they will have to switch to fuel for the first start of the day, that it kills plugs and other things, that if your engine is weak you won't know because it won't allow it to smoke, he also mentioned they have to be going to rewire every now and then.
Just this afternoon as I was going to awoyaya. Just today I did a survey at agindingbi ikeja Mobil. I usually buy fuel there every day for the last 3 months. So today I stood and asked randomly people on d cng queue. Aal said it was d best decision only one said the issues he had was plug and coil and that as long as ur engine is topnotch u r good but if ur engine is bad it will further damage it. You could see the satisfaction on ALL their faces d one guy that complained about d plugs and coil said in light of current fuel ish iz the best decision cause his an Uber guy. Abeg measure ur risk and take informed decision. I will do it asap. It can be dekitted at anytime and I'm telling u. Once I install It then I can be a high earners like pearl the lion. |

Pearl1910: See who is talking about being enslaved... Kai internet is a leveler. U used 20k fuel to do 50k gross on Indrive and u are happy. A higher earner is one who goes home with minimum 50k daily, meaning u should have done above 100k in gross. Do u know how many trips or how many km u will drive on Indrive to achieve that? Can anyone on this thread show me any week he made 700k on Indrive except Xmas period. Any high price on Indrive is as a result of surge on Bolt. So indrive still depends on Bolt to be valuable. This other guy was praying for traffic, cos that's another way Indrive prices can be inflated. U just start this work and u are arguing with me Make we dey enjoy d suffering dey go U r a proper clown pearl. I have changed cars severally on this platform. 8years plus not beans. Pls never assume everyone is suffering like u oo. I'm not suffering as I already twerked my operations. 20k to gross 50k or 55k is perfect for d economy bro. Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Jegheter: 9:23am On Mar 25 |
Pearl1910: The truth is CNG is an added advantage not the standard. The Standard is still 4 plug petrol vehicles of not more than 2.4litre engines. You bought a car and still invested 500k to 1m for CNG installation on the car. Therefore, u have to enjoy the benefit of that investment installation not struggling to make ends meet ontop ur upgrade/extra expenses again.
Secondly, not all vehicles can carry the CNG. So if d ehailing companies want to make CNG the standard let them say so, so that we all know in other to do this business we have to install CNG so d car can pass inspection. It will be unfair to fix prices based on CNG or refuse to increase the prices because it's fuel that is going up and not gas. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 May God give me added advantage in life oooo Bro u r truly funny |
Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Jegheter: 9:12am On Mar 25 |
Pearl1910: If u know d story of ehailing in Abuja, Benin, Owerri, Ibadan, PH etc u will not say the business will continue to thrive. If this continues, there will be fewer cars on d road, fewer trips on d app and lesser commission. Ultimately everything will crash due to poor service delivery.
Also just know the gas will go up systematically. Cooking gas was 4k for 12.5kg around 2021, Today it's 15k. So if u are banking on CNG remaining low u aren't being realistic. The more people that use it, d more demand, d high the price will go. It will still be cheaper than fuel overall but that advantage will not be wide again. Is fuel and diesel not same price as we speak? Bro ehailing will never die in Lagos maybe other cities but u see Lagos forget it. If d supply of drivers is reduced as u said the prices will increase hence dragging same drivers that left back in and d cycle continues. Transportation is life and a city like Lagos will FOREVER have ehailing. As regards cng, d cost of producing it is way cheaper bro. It's easier to extract than other derivatives so it can't be like fuel or diesel . This very gas used to be wasted in Nigeria by flaring cause dey didn't know what to do with it. LPg is expensive to produce like fuel |
Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Jegheter: 9:06am On Mar 25 |
tojahh: Yes some actually dekit. I'm a technician at CGC liquified station, we actually get a handful of bus drivers who wants to dekit
1. Because the bus isn't theirs and the owner might want their bus back 2. The need money to do one or two 3. They actually do not need it as their engine is between 1.0-1.4L (Korope) 4. Availability of CNG refill station on their preferred routes.
So yes we dekit them and reinstall. Its a win win for all parties. Amazing to know this |

Pearl1910: 50k Gross target is very low. Reason I said no high earning driver praises Indrive. So after fuel and commission u are probably left with 20k. Like u said its d best for u. U don't control jack, they give u d options to choose from. Bolt Comfort is better than Indrive and when there is surge, u can't even compare. Alaye u assume alot. This is fine for me for now with the present realities. Besides I used 20k fuel to achieve that and I still have some fuel. Before this increase I use 20k to make about 65k-70k but now not using AC I still acheive 60k My pattern has changed but my profit remains d same mate. U really should wake up and smell the roses. Things have changed and if I r not willing to adapt u will expire. I don't think you understand what u r saying alot of high earners are MORE on indrive that any other platform. As regards controls. Isn't options control unlike useless bolt that throws shit at you and expect u to comply. Wait r u in preference to bolt? If yes then bro u r enslaved oooo. Pearl1910: The CNG will also go up. What happens then? The truth is Ehailing fares are too low. The App companies should realize this. There may be more trips but the overall take home is lower than if the fares Increase and d demand drops. Drivers still make more even with low patronage. So there is no reason to make fares this cheap even in the face of increased fuel price. Except that they want drivers to lock shop. This is d first time fuel will go up by double and prices will not change. It's crazy. The prices must go up. The barest minimum is that a 2.4litre petrol engine car must gross X4 his fuel money, When u deduct commission and fuel ur take home profit should be double ur fuel money. That's only when it makes economic sense. That way u can save for car maintenance. But currently u buy fuel of N30k and gross 60k after commission and fuel u are left with less than than half of the gross or nothing. Cos in some cases u use 10k fuel to complete a 10k trip. FUEL PRICE HAS DOUBLED, FARES MUST DOUBLE. There is no other way to say it. Cng will never get to the same price as fuel. The market markets will ensure that besides cost of production for cng is lower than other derivatives hence the cheap price. So zero ur mind it won't be as high as fuel NEVER. Nigeria used to waste d gas to get to their main crude. It's cheaper to produce and lighter to transport I agree that prices are extremely low and to show my disagreement my protest of switching off my AC for useless prices. I also joined in d strike but how many drivers are willing to pay d price. Ordinary 3 days strike how many people did it. How many people will want to march to their office. Honestly a business will continue to thrive as long as people r making money in it. Cng and small engine cars are cashing out and anyone that wants to continue in this business must adapt else u can create ur own app. It's d hard truth. The apps don't send anyone. If u r to send urself then adapt but complaining won't solve d issh on ground. |

Uber likes keeping a large chunk of money they charge passenger unlike Indrive.
In another news, what exactly is happening with the numerous lane closures in the island. First Akpogbon bridge, second, costal road and then lekki epe express. I spent 4 hours from ogombo to Surulere. Map was directing me through idumota market so it will leave me stranded there. Honest that their commission dey worry esp bolt. That y indrive is better.
