[ crispviv:CONGRATULATIONS!!!! |
CuteRedd:Ok, I can PM you. I need help to set up one of these. |
Emeritusseun:I don't think changing the password is enough to forestall such acts. Once the perpetrator goes to the bank to revert the transaction, there is bound to be a problem, unless the school is magnanimous enough to inform the applicant before withdrawing the application. I believe there are still some honest and good persons out there.....but, wowww.....chances can't be taken. OVERLY RISKY |
Thanks CptCharlesVane. Not all is lost, I still have a couple. Although my friend is on the verge of missing out on two schools or more. Yes, your addition is very valid. Including GRE and TOEFL payments. We all have to be careful.[/quote] CptCharlesVane:pt |
Hello House. Permit me to make this post. I would like to advice all applicants, to ensure that they make application fee payment themselves. In fact if someone would have to pay for you because of financial constraints, unfavorable exchange rate or whatever PLEASE ENSURE IT IS SOMEONE YOU KNOW VERY WELL. I have discovered that some people exploit this application payment thing to SCAM fellow Nigerians. Recently, I logged unto my application portal and discovered my APPLICATION WAS WITHDRAWN BEFORE DECISION WAS MADE. Upon mailing the grad cord. She told me I went to the bank to revert the payment, and thus my application is null. I was all over the place. Apparently, the person I asked to make the payment for me had other ideas about how to double his gain. This is very bad because I loose in two ways; A bad reputation with the school and wasted resources in terms of scores, transcript and recommendation sent. I believe my post will save an APPLICANT OUT THERE, because recently this same thing happened to my friend. Different agent made payment, but the same end game. Let us consider future generations and future applicants. WHAT IF NIGERIANS GET BLACK LISTED FROM US SCHOOLS?. Someone might say that is not possible, But do a search and you will discover there is a list of countries that US schools are skeptical and wary of, whenever a citizen makes an application from them. Nigerians are already perceived as dubious, con stars and fraudsters. PLEASE, I BEG THOSE PERPETRATING THESE KIND OF EGREGIOUS AND UNNERVING ACTIONS TO STOP!!! let us restore the GOOD OLD DAYS OF INTEGRITY......Pay that application fee yoursefl!! I wish everyone success, admission and funding come 2019. |

Ndawe:Thanks a bunch for this reply Ndawe. How is your program going as well? Wish everyone on here success in their current program and current applications. For those taking GRE soon, ensure you keep practicing. This will afford you the space to exploit your strengths and discover areas needed for improvement. On exam Day, try to be as calm and collected as possible, alot of us complain about having the capacity to do better based on our preparation, I feel one way to deliver high performance which may translate to a better result is to be calm and composed on exam day.......*STAY FOCUSED* Thanks all. |
Ok I definitely will... Thanks Alot. I am soo grateful smallsuper: |

Good Day House, I have followed this page from 1st post, to have an in-depth info about schools and funding opportunities. I humbly present my profile for school suggestions and any tip to secure funding for fall '19. I have actually completed applications to PhD Chemistry in the schools mentioned below. Hoping to apply to any more recommended schools on here. *My little advice to anyone preparing for the Gre and Toefl is to ensure you start well ahead of admission deadlines.. Take the exams early enough so you can have enough time to prepare all application materials. Undergrad: 3.45/4 (Unofficial WES evaluation)- Industrial Chemistry GRE: 312 (VERY terrible exam experience) TOEFL: 103 Publications: 1 (Currently under review with two journals) Research Experience : About 2 years working in the Oil and Gas Conferences: A handful Schools applied: VCU, FSU, MSU, LSU, Univ of Utah, Tulane Univ and University of Alabama. Contacts have been made with some POIs in about five of these schools...Mostly positive and was asked to apply. What is your take house ....CC @Scholastica16, @Time2Smile, @kayceerilyn, @Sheeda995, @Ndawe, @Temmitats |
