Agriculture / Mechanized Gari Production by Jehlar: 7:23pm On Nov 01, 2016
INVEST IN CASSAVA PROCESSING
PRODUCT ONE – GARI
Gari, a roasted granule, is the dominant product from cassava and is widely accepted in both rural and urban areas in Nigeria. White or Red, gari is used mainly as human food. It can be consumed without any additives or it can be consumed with a variety of additives such as sugar, groundnut, fish, meat and stew.
The market for gari is inexhaustible. The demand for gari in the local market is greater than the supply. There’s always a market for gari everyday. Even the international market can be exploited if the product passes the international export standard/grade, which it will with this modern production tecnology.
Gari production is mainly concentrated in the hands of rural households who produce over 95% of the market supply. These rural gari producers are still employing traditional techniques with a lot of drudgery in the production process.

There’s improved technology for processing cassava into gari. This involves the use of machineries such as grater/attrition mill, dewatering press, fermentation racks, granulator, sifting machines, gari roasting bays/frying pots/sophisticated frying machines.

Do you want to start up a small scale gari processing outfit?
Do you need information on the total cost of running a Small scale gari processing centre? We will provide you information on the cost, source and capacity of the machineries and other inputs used in the production process. We will also design a strategic marketing plan that would place as a potential market nicher/challenger/leader.
Do you need a business plan on Mechanized Gari production for a Small Scale Start-up Entrepreneur?
