APC primary for house of representative and house of assembly position turns bloody in igando as four where killed (videos)
At least four persons have been killed after an All Progressives Congress primary election for House of Representatives and house of assembly positions turned bloody in Igando area of Lagos state.

The incident occurred on Friday May 27, at Igando-Ikotun and Mosan-Okunola council secretariat which was the venue for the primary election.

In video shared online, some thugs who wielded weapons were seen facing each other before security operatives intervened.

Two of those killed have been identified as Surry Boxer and Ogunlaye. Watch videos from the scene below.....................

A 52-year-old father of five, Nkereuwem Emah has been sentenced to death by hanging for killing his pregnant wife, whom he accused of infidelity.

The suspect from Mbiabam in Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area was on Friday May 27, found guilty of killing his wife on the 12th of February 2018, while she was sleeping in their residence, in Mbiabam, Ibiono Ibom LGA.

Lagos state governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has won the All Progressives Congress’ (APC) governorship primary in the state which held today May 26.

The governor was declared the winner after two other aspirants, former Commissioner of Energy, Wale Oluwo, and former Permanent Secretary from the Ministry of Energy, Mustapha Olorunfemi, were not cleared for the primary.

More than 1,225 delegates were expected to cast their votes in the exercise and 1,198 were accredited. Of those accredited, 1,182 votes were cast with 12 regarded as invalid........Read more

A husband suffered from memory loss caused by afternoon sex with his wife, according to a new paper by medics.

Three delegates for the gubernatorial primaries of the People Democratic party from Mariga Local Government Area of Niger State have allegedly been killed by bandits.

The Chairman of the Electoral Committee and Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo announced this at the State PDP Secretariat, venue of the primaries in Minna today May 26

Homeless man allegedly kidnaps prostitute, and rapes her for five days in abandoned building
A homeless high-level registered male sex offender in New York City who was released from state prison as recently as 2020 has been arrested after state prosecutors say he kidnapped a prostitute and raped her repeatedly while holding her hostage for five days in an abandoned building.

Timothy Harnett, a 44-year-old homeless man who goes by the nickname "Lawless," was indicted by New York prosecutors for allegedly kidnapping a 28-year-old woman and raping her several times a day between April 29 and May 2 in an abandoned three-story building, Bronx District Attorney Darcel Clark announced.
"The defendant allegedly held a 28-year-old woman captive for days, raping and beating her with a tire iron. The victim managed to escape with the help of a passerby," Clark said in a statement. "The defendant has been indicted on multiple charges for terrorizing this woman.".........Readmore

A soldier has been reportedly killed by suspected cultists at Ibafo Market, in Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State.

Drama as ex-VP Namadi Sambo’s son allegedly asks delegates to return his money after he lost PDP ticket
Adam Namadi, son of former Vice-President Namadi Sambo, has allegeedly asked delegates to refund the N2 million each he gave to them just before the party primaries in Kaduna North Federal Constituency of the House of Representatives which he lost on Sunday, May 22.

Two more countries have confirmed cases of monkeypox as the global outbreak continues.

Previous cases outside Africa have been confirmed in the UK, US, Canada, Spain, Italy and more in recent weeks.
While the UK Health Security agency announced that cases in the UK have increased to 20, Germany and Belgium have both confirmed they have detected cases of the smallpox-like disease.

Germany’s armed forces’ medical service confirmed it had found a single case of the ‘virus beyond doubt for the first time in Germany on May 19 in a patient with characteristic skin lesions’.

There is tension in some parts of Lagos as okada riders resist attempts by Nigerian police officers enforcing the ban on commercial motorcycles in Lagos.


The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwolu placed a ban on commercial motorcycles in some local governments of the state following the lynching and burning of a sound engineer known as David Imoh.

Today, May 19, police officers from Onireke Police Station, Ojo, impounded some commercial motorcycles plying the Mile 2 – Badagry road and the motorcyclists revolted.

They stormed the police station where some of these seized bikes were kept. They tried to overrun the Police station to free motorcyclists put under arrest by police.

Gunshots were heard in the area as the police officers tried to keep them away. The motorcyclists retaliated by throwing objects at the officers.

Following the attempt, the enraged motorcyclists then started a fire in the middle of the road, causing Vehicle owners to abandon their cars and flee.

The incident caused heavy traffic in the area.

A prophetess with the Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Bimpe Omotosho, died in the explosion that occurred in Sabon Gari, Fagge Local Government area of Kano State on Tuesday.

She was laid to rest at Ahmadiyya Christian Cemetary on Wednesday evening, May 18.

A police officer was captured crying out for help as a driver zoomed off with her in his car.

The uniformed woman had entered the man’s car ‘without his consent’ and the driver zoomed off with her.


When she realises the driver won’t stop, she panics and tries to wrestle with him for control of the car.

When that doesn’t work, she begins screaming out of the window for help.

An African mother "confronted" a fox after it broke into her house and made itself comfortable in her living room.

In a video shared online, the mum is heard speaking in tongues as she observes the fox sitting in her living room.
"A fox just came into my house. I come against it in the name of Jesus," the mum is heard saying.

She then begins "questioning" the fox.

"What brought you in my house?" the woman asks. "You must confess I'm going to kill you."
